For those with a smaller to medium-sized space, this is definitely a great set of floor speakers to use. I historically have been a big fan of what Polk has put out over the years, but with a smaller space, I needed speakers that wouldn't be overkill. That's when I gave the CF-30 towers a strong look. I would heavily recommend using AudioQuest X2 speaker wire with these as a minimum, and if possible, Bi-Amp these with your receiver. You will get an unbelievably rich, crisp, and clear sound from these speakers. I plan on getting some of their CB-10 bookshelf speakers as well, as I am that impressed on the quality from Energy's Connoisseur series.

For Audiophiles, This Is What You Need

I am a big A/V person, and I run my own personal tests between various cables with various setups. People always say that there is no difference in cabling, but they are wrong. I have a modest setup currently, with a 47LM7600 series LG TV, and an LG NB3520 soundbar system. Nothing too powerful audio-wise, but still a solid setup. I had been using Rocketfish Optical Cabling and it had done a fine job, but lately I had been noticing some distortion watching Game of Thrones, playing Xbox, and much more. I went to my local Magnolia Center to check out AudioQuest, and wanted a cable to reduce that distortion. The shielding gets this done magnificently. A four hour marathon of Game of Thrones allowed me to enjoy all the phenomenal sound that this show and soundbar is capable of. I enjoyed crisper, and fuller sound that the Rocketfish cable. Best of all, no distortions. Rocketfish is a solid cable brand, but if you enjoy pristine audio performance even on mid-range products, you need to consider AudioQuest as a top priority.

Bose is Bose. You get what you pay for. Some may be turned off by the initial thought of the price, but it works flawlessly with my 32" Sony, and my 40" Samsung! Just simply place your TV on top of the unit (as it is designed), connect via analog or optical, and from there you are good to go! I was skeptical at first because the associate did not have a display in the store, but he assured me that it would be a better option at the price than a soundbar. He was right. Couldn't be happier. Also got the Protection Plan, because my luck is horrible with electronics and their life spans, no matter how knowledgeable I am!

Opened up the box, set it up and it worked for 3 whole days. Considered returning it to the store but I saw paperwork in the box directing me to contact Toshiba directly. When I did they told me they would call me back within a week. 10 days later I get a call telling me that I may purchase a new one and send back the broken one for a credit approximately 4 to 6 weeks away so I would have to buy a new unit and hope they credited my funs back to my credit card. This would mean I spent $600 on a broken speaker system that only works for 3 days. Contacted Best Buy to request a refund and was denied because of their horrible 15 day return policy. Enjoying my new plastic useless speaker which now hold candles on top of it

The TV has worked very well so far. We have been extremely happy except we haven't been able to hook up our wii to it. My husband went to buy a special cable to do so and it seems there's not one. Hmmmm. Need to research a bit.

How to connect your Wii to your RCA TV.

Not many consumers are aware that newer televisions use what they call hybrid connections. Your Wii uses Composite video/audio, (Yellow, Red, and White cable). Your television has component video/audio (green, blue, red, red, and white.). The green connection is also able to transmit composite video (yellow). Plug in your yellow connection into the green port, and the red and white into the audio connections. You should see an A/V or Video labeled input when changing sources on your TV.

First off, BestBuy doesn't make the product, they sell it. Niles is a phenomenal audio/video company. I personally have one of their amps for a stereo setup I have. If you have a problem paying for a high quality product, talk to Niles.

This is my 3rd Sony XBR I have owned. I purchased this because of the slim design, but overall would have been happier with the next model down. Sound quality is not acceptable.

Sound will be like that in almost every TV nowadays. I would highly encourage a soundbar or a surround system as there wont be many options for sound to be much better, unless you go up to the Sony X930C, or the LG UF9500. Both offer decent sound out of the gates.

I recently got a great deal on an open-box TV at Best Buy. On the salesperson's recommendation I purchased this expensive HDMI cable with it. I was reluctant but they gave a good spill. So when I got home I compared it to the HDMI cable the Comcast installer gave me. It is a standard "high speed with Ethernet" cable. I NOTICED NO DIFFERENCE. I researched the matter and learned there is no difference in the "expensive" cables. I will be returning this cable, don't get suckered and overpay like I did!

There is definitely a difference in the cables. Construction, geometry, and quality of materials used can make a large differences in how the signal gets from point A to point B. Especially with a brand like AudioQuest, where you have cables priced as low as $29, there is no reason not to purchase these. They allow your devices to be seen to the fullest potential.

I ordered the TV stand on-line and picked it up at store. When I picked it up the box at the store, it was beat up- my first clue. When I unpacked it at home, I found that one wood section was pulled apart. It was such a hassle to pick the unit and get it home that I decided to fix it rather than returning it. I glued it back together, but you could still see the damage to the wood finish. I would NOT recommend getting any large wood product from Best Buy you have to assemble. They don't know how to ship their heavy products without damaging them. Now even in the Best Buy stores I notice wood TV stands with damage to the finish.

It is not BestBuy's fault that a product comes in damaged. Shipping is handled through freight truck that have more than just your stand on it. That is just common logistics. It's happened to me before. You can't prevent it, they can't prevent it. You could have exchanged it, but you chose not to. Don't give a stand a poor review, or BestBuy for that matter, just because your stand came in damaged. It is just unfortunate circumstance.

To my understanding, next year Sony has plans to release one. If you need one to upconvert to keep you occupied, the Sony BDP-S790 should suffice.
