I owned this for a week and a few days and found it to have some really strong pros but also an unforgivable con that made me ultimately return it.
I like to run and hit the weight room roughly 5 times a week. I found this fitness tracker to be unreliable when it came time to gauge distance when I would run on the treadmill. I found it would be off by almost 1/4 of a mile every time, with no way to calibrate it. Running around the track, my mile was done in 6:30 but the watch said I had .12 miles left to run. That's a no go if you're looking for a gps watch. Also the floor climber tracker hardly worked. I would climb stairs in my house intentionally just to see if it was me but it only registeted 1 floor. Other reviews cite the same issue, but that stat is unimportant to me anyway.
On a brighter note, wow that screen is beautiful. The curvature gives off a cool looking at it. The watch is IP68 waterproof in case you forget to take it off in the shower so no worries. The battery life is better than any Android Wear watch but the app ecosystem is definitely not. I found the sleeping tracker to be on point, just like my old Vivoactive HR. The watch did take a few minutes to start registering my steps in the morning when I first got out of bed.
The watch should work great for 90% of users but if your intention is to mix your reliable gps watch with a hint of smartwatch fitness functions, this ain't it.

Let me start off by saying I wanted to love these. I've been looking forward to these since they were unveiled alongside the X3's at CES in January. I currently have owned my Bose SoundSport in ear headphones for a year and wanted to upgrade to the famous Jaybird's.
Pros: The sound on these headphones provided better lo's, mid's, and high's thanks to the Jaybird equalizer app. I thought it was a bit of a gimmick at first but it actually made a big difference. Because the headphones sit deeper in your ear canal, it sounds a lot better than my Bose.
Onto the cons. The fitment was awful enough for me to decide to return them and not believe these warrant a $200 price tag. Because the battery is no longer housed in the ear bud to minimize the size, it is now built in to the remote on the cord which sits below the right ear. It was a smart idea but Jaybird didn't think it through. The remote is heavier than normal now so it constantly tugs to the right during a workout. It gets even worse during a longer run where you sweat more, so the cable sticks to the back of your neck lopsided to the right. The earbuds included are OK. If you sweat or run in your workouts, expect them to fall out. I used seceral combinations of buds, ear wing tips and fitments that it wasn't enough to keep them in without falling out once. That is where my Bose has them beat. The ear buds stay in place with the ears because of the winged tips. Battery life on the Freedom's were about in line what they advertise, 4 hrs without the extra battery. These headphones shouldn't be advertised as 8 hrs becuase that would mean you're using the extra battery which lopsides the fitment even worse.
Don't get me wrong, I love the sound and flexibility of use of these headphones but the cons easily outweighed the benefits. I returned them and believe the X3's will be the best of both world's. The X3's will have the battery built in to the ear bud to rid of any lopsidedness, will be able to use the Jaybird equalizer app, and is supposed to be a bit smaller than the X2's.

This is my first time owning a Garmin product. I came from owning a Peeble, Samsung Gear 2, Moto 360 Sport, and now vivoactive hr. Working out and running 5 times per week I wanted something that could track my workout and wear daily while using it as a smartwatch. Having owned this for 2 weeks now I can say this does it extremely well.
Pros: - I experienced 9 days of battery life, while Garmin claimed 8. My Moto 360 Sport would be dead by the second day in the early morning. - Waterproof, so you can shower with it if you forget to take it off or if you want to track swims. - Big legible screen - 24/7 HR along with sleep level information. My old Moto didn't do that.
Cons: - User Interface is similar to my Pebble from 2013. Pretty basic, but works. However I expected more for $250. - Hard to read screen at times. Light brightness should go higher. - Watch doesn't look as nice as my Moto 360 Sport in a professional work environment. - Proprietary charger. Rather incorporate the standard Qi wireless charger in the event my charger breaks.
All in all, great fitness smartwatch. I researched this against the Fitbit Blaze and there's no comparison. That watch's popularity relies on the uninformed public wanting what everyone else has our is talking about. That is not waterproof, does not have GPS like it shadily "claims" to have, and you have to the watchface out of the watchband every time you want to charge it.
You won't be disappointed with this if you're into fitness and want detailed information on your workout. If fitness comes second and smartwatch features first, I'd recommend the Moto 360 Sport.

I've had this watch for a week so I've already had some time to truly think about the features and accuracy of this watch. I'm in the Army and do unit pt everyday so I wanted a gps watch to track my time/pace running and rucking along with how many calories I've burnt throughout the day.
Let me tell you this watch is spot on! I compare the pace and length with my friends gps watches and they're the same. The gps feature takes about 5 seconds to lock on when I'm outside, which isn't long. The battery life is better than I expected with a watch with gps. I use gps for 30 min of running at 5am and still have juice left around 9pm. One of the best features of the watch is actually being able to read the screen in the middle of the day. The screen turns into an e-ink like display and is perfectly readable in the sun.
My cons against the watch would be the dust magnet the silicone strap is but with time that slowly goes away, so it's not that big of a deal.
If you're on the fence with this watch, buy it. You won't be disappointed. I was comparing this watch and the Garmin Vivoactive. I'm glad I went this route. I wouldn't even waste your time with more limited functionality gps watches like the Fitbit Surge.
