would have been nice if this actually came with the bonus disc of live material like it says in the product info, but it does not. great album otherwise!

What's not so great: product info said second disc, not true

Does this device record the video to view at a later time?
I am using for a home and cannot always watch live, but if someone attempts to break in; do I have the option of rewinding the video to see who it was?
it can be set to record to a local computer or DVR, not too hard to set up

does this record? do I have to connect to Ethernet/Wi-Fi/ or computer or phone?
I want something that records only when movement is detected and that I can review later. snapshots are sufficient
I also want this to either be outside and transmit via wireless to device inside
or be able to detect and record through the window

They have a program on their web site that you can download that allows you to record to that computer using whatever parameters you tell it. Easy to set up, just make sure you write down the user name and password you set the camera up with. You can view live thru a smartphone or iPad from anywhere. You need a wireless network to run the camera, or you can hook it up via Ethernet.

Can you add this to your computer
Yes, dlink has a program on their web site that allows you to record as well as view. You can also view thru an internet browser.

Yes, with my dlink lite app. Very easy to connect to!
