The RAM performed flawlessly. Installing it into an ACER Aspire ONE was a challenge for novice like me. In the past, upgrading the RAM entailed learning which "door" to open, taking out a few screws, and switching out the cards. This installation required removal of the keyboard, the entire back plate of the netbook, and some other interesting moves. Packaging was a pain. There is no need to send product packaged for retail direct to the consumer; especially that "clam shell" packaging that is so difficult/dangerous to get into.
What's great about it: Instantly recognized by the machine.
You can see the difference in speed and capacity after tripling the RAM in my 6 year old Toshiba Satellite. Web pages load faster and opening multiple applications no longer bogs down the system. The XP Multimedia OS only recognizes 3 GB's of RAM, but I think that is a OS problem not a RAM problem. I really don't see a need to package this item in the standard retail type packaging when you are shipping direct to the consumer.
What's great about it: Performance boost to "buck" ratio.
