We purchased this refrigerator for its French doors, bottom freezer and total size from the website. We've only had it for 4 days but it's great so far! Lighting is wonderful. Accessibility good for frig. except pantry which is awkward. Two crispers above are actually sitting on the pantry so they jiggle whenever you open or close the pantry. I would have thought twice about that if I'd seen it firsthand. However, I called Samsung and they assured me that it wouldn't break. I also found out from them that the recommendation for temperature setting is 3 bars for both the freezer (-2degrees)and the refrigerator(38 degrees). Not mentioned in the manual so I note it here for you all.
Frig. is easily organized though I would have liked maybe one shallow door shelf for smaller items. Wonderful to have most of the food at normal height. Freezer holds a lot especially since we didn't opt for ice maker. However, I'll need to get a few plastic baskets to organize better. It's quite deep.

Ice maker takes up valuable freezer space

Now that we have had this refrigerator for a couple of weeks, the only thing I do not like is that the top freezer drawer is not totally usable on the upper left section of the tray. What must be the ice maker (on the bottom of the refrigerator section behind the freezer when you pull the freezer door out) moves in over an ice bucket in that section when you close the drawer. You can remove the ice bucket and put in smaller baskets for organizing but you can not use the full depth of the left section of the top freezer drawer. No problem if you are using the ice maker; that's it's purpose. However, I am reading that more than a few customers posting feedback are not using it, opting for old fashion ice trays. Since bending down to sort the contents of the freezer is not exactly fun, it is unfortunate that a customer couldn't request this frig. without the ice maker. I love the frig. part, the freezer accessibility not so much.

Can I push the refrigerator flush up against the wall or is some space required
The refrigerator body can be flush but the doors should be clear of obstruction so they can open. That would mean it should stick out from a cabinet 3" on each side.

Dimensions of the hinge covers?
1. How long are the hinge covers?
2. Do the hinge covers start flush with the front of the refrigerator, or is there a setback (how much)?

Interesting. I didn't notice this before. The hinges are actually included in the door. You can't see them from the front. From the side, the door measures 2 1/2" thick. At the very top (side view) the hinge is 1 1/2" then 1" door facing. So when you open the door, the hinge cover is actually mainly on the frig. itself. Don't know if I can explain it well though.

Does this one have wheels to assist with mobility?
Samsung RF221NCTASR: does it have wheels? I want a fridge i can move easily for the water filter and cleaning. Also I need a fridge that is no taller than 66 - 67 inches.
It has wheels. It also has feet that can be raised or lowered to keep it in place when you want it to stay still. Height is 67".
