A really good opening album from fusion shredder Di Meola. The two opening tracks are great, and the album as a whole is pretty good. Di Meola simply can not be beaten if you're looking for a guitarist whose chops are polished, creative and mind-blowing. This album, if nothing else, points in the direction of some of the great work that would continue to come from Di Meola and some of his colleagues throughout the 70s and 80s. If you're an "electric" Di Meola fan (or collector) this is simply one of the "must haves" of his early albums.
What's great about it: The early work of Di Meola is great for fusion lovers and up and coming guitarists
What's not so great: Fusion can quickly become over-the-top guitar instrumentals
