I love everything about Japanese Culture, including this cd that accompanies the movie.
It is very artistic and creative and perfectly and apparently purposefully adequately captures the spirit and letter of what it feels and means to be Japanese Geisha.
What's great about it: It's Original
What's not so great: It is captivating, Which isn't a bad thing at all.
This cd does not sound like it is sung by an african american at all. Like J*Davey's cd "Beauty In Distortion", it is very unique and very intelligent in design.
I Love it and would recommend either cd to anyone of whom is interested in widening their perspective on music as an art.
This cd is great for someone who would like to expand their collection of music, of which would include music from artists of different genres and from different musical backgrounds.
