This wireless keyboard and mouse are designed to encourage good hand and wrist posture. The Advanced Encryption Standard keyboard has a split dome shape to fit the curve of your hands, and the mouse's raised design allows you to keep your wrist in a more comfortable, natural position.
This is a nice upgrade for ergonomics. The keyboard is small and once my fingers and brain were retrained to use it (what a terrible two weeks) I will never go back to my older model and hope that they continue to make this for a long time! I type for more than 6 hours every day and have no numbness or fatigue symptoms in my hands and arms, which I attribute to the design of the keyboard. The mouse also has a learning curve, but now that I have mastered it, it is very comfortable to use. The separate keypad is good, if I'm only doing 10 key entry it is easy to position to somewhere comfortable, and if I only need occasional use I can put it anywhere on my desk. Again it is a learning curve but once mastered, everything is coming up roses. The only drawback to the whole bundle is the fact that the keypad uses a button-type lithium ion battery, which is an oddball large size and not carried too many places (although I did find an internet supply) and the battery fails literally after 30 days of use. I do turn off the computer at night so the components should all not be broadcasting to each other, but the keypad goes totally dead after 30 days. Make sure you have a supply of batteries on hand or you will not be 10-keying anything after that time period. The function keys on the keyboard are also quite small and tend to stick, making the keyboard act strangely, but since I am aware that it is an issue, I check that first thing when I notice any peculiar behavior. Overall, the bundle is great, the only thing holding me back from a 5 star review is the battery issue on the keypad!!
