I'm a big Saw fan, and I loved the franchise. I owned them on DVD, I have the Final Chapter in 3D but when I saw the entire collection for less then $15 I jumped on it. The picture is a lot better because it's Blu Ray, and unfortunately the final chapter isn't in 3D but I already own it in 3D and for $15 it's pretty safe to assume you wouldn't be getting anything 3D movies.

Such a great classic, and had amazing 3D quality.
I've been wanting this movie since it came out in 3D, but I hate paying so much for a movie because $30 kind of seems outrageous, even now with 4K UHD Blu Rays are $30 and they don't include 3D.
But during the holidays they had this movie for $12.99 and I bought it instantly. The acting is on point, amazing script... Just an amazing movie!

I'm not exactly sure why the negative reviews on Amazon, but installing was easy, and now my picture looks amazing and is showing lots of improvements.
*It will not remember anything prior other than network information because it needs that to update and install. So that means prior calibrations, and streaming services will need to be done again. That's because it's almost like getting a new TV, which is essentially the point of an evolution kit so you can bring your old 2014-13 TV into the future. Because we all hate when we spend money on an expensive TV only to know that next year they came out with something that's better than your TV in every way. Like those who were early adapters to 4K only to be told that the 2014 TVs have all the required hook ups need to stream 4K or even watch 4K. So the evolution kit came, and solved that issue. So for those of us that are willing to spend the money for Samsung's best TVs, won't be left in the dust when Samsung comes out with a new version.

So from the start I noticed the color accuracy has improved, as well as detail. It didn't blow my socks off, but I knew instantly there was a difference. I'm sure when I watch 4K HDR I will have a different tone.
What did blow my socks off was the 3D, and it dramatically improved it, because 2D to 3D just wasn't showing depth, and just wasn't flying off the screen like I would like. After the update, it looks really good.
This is really worth the buy, especially since Samsung announced that this will be the last evolution kit they produce for the time being. That's because they've reached a point where they can't really upgrade anything else, with this update you have the newest HDMI, the new Tizen browser, new remote, 8 processors, upgraded picture and 3D and the biggest and the real reason you should get this is HDR support. 4K UHD Blu Rays will be in HDR, which means much brighter brights and darker black levels, expanded color, or as Samsung put it, it's better.
If you really want to get the best out of your Samsung 2013-14 4K TV, then this update is a must have!

Wow! This was just a terrible movie, it's spat on the entire franchise. I wasn't planning on paying for this movie, I had a feeling it would be awful. But I managed to get this in 3D on eBay for $5 so I figured why not.
You should know how awful of a movie when Doug Bradley, the man who played ever Pinhead throughout history of this franchise, turned down this roll and refused to partake in it. Yeah, that's how bad of a movie this was... Because he looked at the script and said nope!
I've waited for a new movie, and I would love to see a possible remake or reboot of the franchise... But if they are going to crank out movies like this... I would rather they just end it all.

I saw the trailer for this movie about 3 or so months ago, and I instantly fell in love with the movie. So much so, that the moment it came out on Blu Ray I went out and bought it, without reading reviews or seeing it prior. I just knew that it was going to be an awesome movie, and I was right. It has a stellar cast, with an amazing storyline and a very unique plot. I'm normally not a fan of comedy horror movies, but this was very well written and the actors did a fantastic job.
Yes, this movie is worth buying and watching!

And, will the TV now be compatible with the new 4K blu ray players? Thanks.
You're TV will be able to play with the new 4K players, as well upgrade your current Smart TV from what I'm assuming is quad core to octa core with the new VP9 to be able to support and stream 4K from YouTube.
However, only select 2014 TVs will be able to support 4K HDR which is the HU9000, HU8700 and HU8550 but even then since 2014 and earlier TVs where edge lit they can't claim FULL HDR support. So my TV won't be as great as the 2015 4K TVs and no where even their Nano Crystal 4K TVs.
I've noticed picture improvements, and it does look a lot better than what I had before. The biggest improvement I've seen was the 3D improvement. The depth is amazing, and it really is popping on the screen.
So there's many reasons as to upgrade, but if you are wanting full HDR support then you would need to invest in one of their JS models or wait till the 2016 TVs launch and go on sale. However, Samsung said their TVs don't support both HDR formats, I don't know if it's an update that's needed or what but they only support HDR10, and not Dolby Vision HDR. Which is a shame because Star Wars will be in 4K Dolby Vision HDR.

have 60 inch hu 8550.Would device enable hdr playback.Does hdr require 10 bit panel.Does hu8550 have 8 bit or 10 bit panel.
Samsung has said with the SEK-3500 that owners of the HU8550 and HU9000 will have HDR support.
