Latest technology dashcam

I have had multiple brands of dashcams and most are either descent quality webcams with poor software, or great software with a poor quality device. The webcam has both great software and a very high quality device. You can feel the quality when you first open the box and pick up the webcam. It is quite heavy, but no so much as to cause issues mounting. To get started, all you have to do is either connect the power cord directly to the diagnostic port or the fuse box. It looks a little intimating at first because there are so many wires in the box. The default is the diagnostic port and no additional connections are needed out of the box. If you prefer to leave this port free, you have multiple different options that connect and will allow directly plugging into your fuse box. I chose to go with the diagnostic port. A small bar code will come up on the dashcam screen and you just scan and it will give you a link to the software. After installing the software, the webcam automatically started a firmware update which only took 2 - 3 minutes. You are then prompted to create an account or you can directly login with an existing account such as Google. No additional steps are required and the 4G LTE connection is enabled by default. The mobile application walks you through step by step on the best place to mount and even includes a tool for assisting with routing the wires in your car. I was able to completely route the wires across the top of my windshield and down the weatherstripping of the door. There are additional mounting aids such as a sticky mount and three zip ties. The dashcam hooks onto the windshield with pre-mounted 3M tape which firmly holds in place. There is not a suction option, but it comes with an extra 3M tape mount if you ever have to relocate. The main body is about the size of an echo dot with two external antennas. The camera body hangs down about 3 more inches and can be swiveled to level based upon how it is mounted on your windshield. I was able to get it perfectly mounted beside my driver assist console in the center top part of the screen and the webcam is just visible under my mirror to see the small LCD information screen.
Once you have it mounted and the power cable ran the way you like, the webcam is ready to go. The 64gb SD card memory is already mounted and formatted. The box says it includes a 32gb card but there must be a pre-installed 32gb as well. The LCD screen is small and does not display the camera image. I like this feature so your are not so distracted. The screen displays when it is recording, in park mode, the 4G signal strength and a location verification icon. The added benefit is having the rear facing cabin camera as well. Both cameras have a wide field of view and have excellent picture quality. There is very little delay between the camera and live viewing. Video clips are recorded to the internal memory as well as to cloud storage. You have the option to download directly to you phone as well. To take advantage of all the feature you will either need to subscribe to a $9.99 or $19.99 monthly subscription. I believe this is well worth it for all of the advanced features includes. The features include cloud storage, emergency SOS, smart sense parking that automatically records if someone gets near your vehicle. The camera includes window decals and flashes red to let anyone around know they are being monitored. You have the ability to directly activate your car alarm if you wish. Some of the advanced features are not currently unavailable, but will be in future updates. There is the mode to monitor if when your vehicle is left with someone such as mechanic and the Roadwatch AI. I'm really excited to see the AI function in the future because it will also record the estimated speeds of the cars around you if you every need this information for accident information. You have the added option of attaching an optional rear window wired camera, not included, if you like and all three cameras will record at the same time. Since the camera is always hooked to direct vehicle power, you can wake the camera at anytime and anywhere through the 4G connection to view the inside and outside of the vehicle. By default, the camera monitors your car's battery level and will shut the camera off it detects the battery lever is too low. As long as your battery is good and your are driving every day this should not be an issue. The webcam looks great and professional when it is mounted, setup is super easy, picture quality is great and the mobile app has a wealth of features and is easy to use. The camera is rather expensive compared to comparable models, but I believe it is well worth it. In my opinion, the 2K model will work best for most people. You get 2 times the picture quality of HD without the huge storage consumption of 4K. If you want to save a $100 you can go with the 1K version and you get all the same features with just a slight compromise in picture quality. If you are the person that plans to watch video clips on your large 4K home TV, I suggest spending $100 more and going with the full 4K version.

Looks like regular sunglasses but much more

These look like a regular pair of stylish Ray-Ban sunglasses but they are a great handsfree companion. They have a quality feel right out of the box. The eyeglass case is stylish and securely holds them in place. I really like that the eyeglasses can be charged while in the case. When they are clipped in for charging they can be a little difficult to remove but a little wiggling gets them out with not much of an issue. I used have been using them for about a half a day over 2 days and the battery life is still above 90%. There are only two physical buttons which makes them very easy to use. The power button is on the left side of one of the arms and a read dot lets you know if they are on or off. They go into a power saving mode and automatically turn back in if you leave the switch on which is super convenient. Once you download the mobile app, all you need to do is either login to your Meta account or create a new one. The software immediately detected the product and downloaded a firmware update. Sound quality is great and the volume is adjusted by swiping the outside of the left arm and there is not a visible control switch. Taking call is easy and they can be answered or ended by a quick tap where the volume control is located. Taking calls outside with traffic and wind was clear and I was easily heard. The camera lens and mic is barley noticeable on the top corner of ear eyepiece. Pictures are easy as tapping a button on the top of the right arm and a video, up to 60 seconds, can be started by holding the same button in for a few seconds. There is an ample 32gb of onboard storage and pictures and videos can be set to automatically import to you phone gallery. You also have the option to stream directly to Facebook if desired. It looks you can have a Meta account separately of Facebook and both can be linked for the streaming function. The picture and video quality looks as good as what you get from a latest smartphone. You can also say "Hey Meta" and basically ask about any question you would through any other search engine. As sunglasses, they work as great sunglasses and the have the stylish Ray-Ban icons. I have small framed face and the fit super well and very comfortable. I'm interested in having the sunglass lens replaced with prescription lens I like them so much. I believe these will be next generation of smart products and I can see them becoming a staple of connecting devices.

Great laptop companion

This device resolves an issue that most people that primary use a laptop experience. Laptops provide a convenience over desktops but it is not always easy to connect to an additional monitor or docking station. Installation is very easy. There is an included guide that allows the adhesive backed magnets to be lined up precisely. The adhered very well to my primary gaming laptop. It adds very little bulk to the laptop and only a little extra weight. Connection is via a cable to the laptop HDMI port and power is provided a USB connection. An added benefit is that it has dongle that allows it to connect to a USB-A or USB-C port. This is huge benefit since most newer laptops have a limited number of connection ports. Once is centered and mounted on the laptop cover, you simply slide it open and pull it out to use. The angle can be adjusted and even swing 180 degrees to use in a presentation mode. The screen resolution is very good and effortlessly allows swapping screens. One thing to keep in mind is that the refresh rate is 60mhz so if your primary monitor has a higher refresh rate it will be limited to match the secondary screen. Quality build seems very good and connection is firm and sturdy.

Super light and responsive

This is one of the lightest gaming mice I've every used. It fits very well in your hands and glides effortlessly over whatever mouse surface you are using. It is fully rechargeable but can be used connected via the USB charge cord all the time or just while it is charging. Wireless connection is through an included USB toggle. I already had the Corsair CUE software installed and it instantly recognized my device and initiated a firmware update. The Corsair CUE application allows full customization of the buttons and sensitivity of all the inputs. A really cool feature was the ability to calibrate the mouse according the specific mousepad surface. I have used in several first person shooter games, and paired with my Corsair M70 Core keyboard, it really gives an edge over the completion. Movements are fluid, quick and effortless. The buttons allow super quick reactions such as shooting and dodging. It is designed to provide comfort during long gaming sessions. There are no lighting on the device but it still has a cool luck and the mouse scroll button has yellow center.

This is a full size keyboard for the serious gamer. It is a full layout with side number keys. Typing is easy and all of the common gaming keys are easy to access. The mechanical keys are responsive and have crisp click. The USB cord is plenty long enough and works out of the box. The Corsair CUE application can be installed to take advantage of all the advance features. The software prompts to check for a firmware update for the keyboard after installation. The Corsair Cue software allows full control over features such as updates, lighting and custom key assignment. I really like the lighting feature that allows different profiles for specific keys. I have all the keyboard set to static blue and the WASD keys set to red since the are main movement keys used in most games. The scroll wheel button can be set to control the lighting brightness or sound volume. You can save multiple keyboard profiles for use wit different games. Long gaming sessions can be played with ease and it really gives an edge in first person shooters. The keyboard can also be set flat or has stands that can be used to angle the keyboard for preference.

Compact, powerful and sturdy

This laptop is compact in the size but is a little heavy and bulky. This is really not an issue for those wanting the extra gaming power it provides. The screen opens easily and the 15.6" screen looks great. It also has 120hz refresh rate for fast action games. The keyboard is easy to type and is compact compared to a full size. There are separate number keys as well. Startup and updating is easy. Dell does a very good job of including Dell Update software that checks for all software and hardware updates to effortlessly install. As an added bonus, there is a one year subscription included to McAfee antivirus.
There is only USB and USB-C on the back of the laptop. There is a HDMI connection as well. I effortlessly connected a Bluetooth headset and xBox controller. The 1TB SSD provides plenty of space for games. I was able to several of the latest gaming titles on the highest settings with no issues. The RTX3050 GPU has 6GB of RAM and the memory has 16GB RAM. This is plenty enough to run the latest games in full HD. Other than the limited connection ports, there was only a few negative items. The screen camera does not have a camera but you can buy a third party cover or just put tape on it when not in use. The power cord has a very large brick. This may be a little cumbersome when traveling and trying to fit in your laptop bag. Overall, it is a great gaming laptop and desktop replacement.

Pricey but well balanced flight

This drone includes all of the latest features in recreational UAS. In comparison to the DJI 2S, it is about the twice the size. The rotor arms fold easily to make it easy to transport. I really like that the camera cover comes across the entire drone and securely holds the props in place during storage and transport. The DJI Fly app is built right into the controller and it connects via WiFi for firmware updates. The screen is about the size of a normal cell phone screen and has a very good display. The control sticks store on the back of the controller and screw in easily. Two extra included in case you accidently lose one. The batteries are about twice as big as the DJI 2s and insert into the center of the drone and securely snap in place. The battery power button is the same color as the battery and can be a little difficult to locate since it is on the side of the drone. The batteries utilize smart technology and take several hours to charge. The battery holder can hold three batteries but only charges one at a time.
Once the batteries are charged and the firmware updated, all you have to do is connect or create a DJI account to get started. You will need to have the B4UFly app on your cell phone to verify your area is safe for flight and to run you before flight checklist. The controller easily pairs with the drone and take-off is just a touch of a button. Flight controls are super smooth you will not have any issues with connection with flying in line of sight. The max altitude defaults to the legal recreational limit of 400 ft. The drone will not fly above the set altitude and and proximity can be set to brake if it comes close to any objects. Landing and return to home can be initiated with a touch of a button and you will get prompted if the landing area is uneven to confirm landing.
Video and pictures are what really set this drone apart. The camera has multiple lens and the gambit feature keeps it level no matter how the drone is positioned. There is 8GB of onboard storage on the controller and a SD card can be inserted for additional storage. The camera can be rotated vertically with a scroll button on the controller. Pictures and video can be started with a tap of a button on the screen or back of the controller. Pictures look great and in low and bright light. I have included several pictures that were taken on my initial flight.

Easy secure charging on the go

The charger works very well with any iPhone that has MagSafe charging. The charge cable is plenty long enough the cigarette charger is well made. The vent clip holds the charger firmly in place. Unlike most chargers that must clip to the phone, this charger uses the phones built in magnet to firmly hold the phone in place. It can be used with or without a phone case. If a phone case is used, it must be MagSafe compatible in order for the charger to work properly. The charging surface is large enough to provide a firm surface to connect. Charging time seems right on par with what you get with the standard MagSafe chargers. The color is a matte black that will go well with most car interiors. I have been using in a Jeep and have taking it with me over some very rough terrain. The charger has remained clipped to the vent well and the phone connection is very secure. I have noticed some connection lose with one of my thick phone cases, but it has worked fine with my thin one used most often.

Universal across multiple platforms

This headset is sets itself apart from the competition by working across all major platforms: PC, xBox, Playstation and Nintendo Switch. Unlike RIG headsets I've used in the past, this one is 100% wireless. Connection through a gaming console is via a USB-C doggle. There is a USB-C to USB cable included for use with the xBox and Switch. The doggle connects directly to the USB-C port on the front of the Platystation 5. PC connection is made directly via Bluetooth. No software is required, but it can be paired to the Dolby Atmos application for the best sound quality. It took several pairing reset tries to get connected to the gaming consoles but is working fine once paired.
Charge time is quick and so fair the battery is holding really well using with a xBox and Playstation. Sound quality is very good with or without Dolby Atmos. The ear cushions can be adjusted easily for a comfortable fit. The mic can be completely hidden when not in use and picks up well without getting in your way. The controls on the headset are easy to get to and volume can be adjusted easily. It is light enough to remain comfortable during extended gaming sessions.

Easy setup and works great

This webcam connects seamlessly and no software needs to be downloaded. The connection is plenty long enough to allow placement on a monitor that is not right next to the monitor. The faceplate can easily be removed and replaced with a white one if desired. Video looks great on teams calls and the field of view is wide and clear . The microphones provide crisp sound transmission and do a good job of blocking out a lot of background noise. The monitor clip is easily adjusted and holds the camera firmly in place. The camera can also be tilted up and down and to the side. The only drawback is that it does not include a privacy shield. It is easy to hang something over when it not in use for an extra sense of security. The size is just right to provide all the necessary features without be too slightly on the monitor. It is easy to take off and place back on the monitor if you prefer. I prefer to my laptops built in webcam and will be traveling with it in my laptop bag. It does not take up much room and seems durable enough for taking with you.

Mixed Reality should run OK on this laptop, however I suggest at least 16 GBs of RAM to run smoothly with all VR applications.
