Best Video Game Ever

This was the second game I bought to go with my PS4 Pro and Samsung KS8000 65" 4K HDR TV. I have to say: the graphics and smoothness are simply incredible. I can critique every game and spot every flaw, but with this game, it just flowed. Graphics were a 10, story-line was a 10, action was a 10. This game has a little everything: climbing, running, dodging, jumping, puzzle-solving, shooting, driving...wait...I don't remember flying. Oh well!! :) The graphics showed beautifully on the Samsung TV. I set TV for game mode and that was it. The game will know that you have an HDR TV; after that, you will have to go into the game's options > video settings to turn HDR on. After that, the TV will see the HDR stream/data and recognize that you're playing HDR content. Search the internet, because pros suggest making other settings to the TV's video settings to make the graphics pop. I simply set my TV's video settings for game mode, and noticed the improvement in smoothness of animation. I played the game only a couple of hours every Saturday, and finally finished it. My wife doesn't care for video games, but loved to watch me play this one. For her, she was following the story-line and helped me solve some of the puzzles. She also enjoyed the scenery. I swear, some of the greenery and palm trees looked real! Truly awesome game!

Incredible!

I first bought the LG 65UH7700 back on Black Friday 2016. This being my first 4K TV, I really thought that I had a great TV. Well, after using it for weeks, I started to take note of pixilation around objects that moved (i.e. around people's heads when they moved). This happened with my PS4 Pro and the LG Hulu app. I went back to Best Buy and talked with a rep in the TV department and was told to consider returning the LG and getting this 65" KS8000. I read up on the KS8000, and it had several, several good reviews (not just on Best Buy's website, but other sites as well). So I made the swap, and wow...I couldn't have been happier! Sure, I had to invest a few hundred more into my 4K investment, but it was well worth it. The color and detail on this Samsung is incredible. I use it to watch 4K videos on Youtube and the upscaling on Hulu makes the picture look like native 4K. The PS4 Pro shines on this Samsung as well. I've played Uncharted 4 (with HDR) and the picture is incredible. I actually think I get cleaner motion keeping game mode set to off. The colors really pop with this TV. Do keep in mind: there are 2 locations where the legs can snap in. Specs on this TV do not show this anywhere, and that was my biggest hold up with swapping for this TV sooner. If you see this TV in Best Buy, look at the bottom of the TV and you'll see 4 holes (2 sets). The remote with this TV is clean and simply, and there is an app you can install with your phone to turn it into a remote. The miracast feature (casting my Android phone on to this Samsung) has a lot less lag than the LG did. There are no USB 3.0 ports on this TV (all are 2.0), but I've not seen this to be a problem. 2.0 is obviously slower than 3.0, but I've not seen where that has been a problem when playing 4K videos from a jump drive. Only thing I didn't like about this TV was during setup. We couldn't figure out how to get through the initial setup! Printed docs were not accurate. I had to download the PDF instructions from the Samsung website to figure out how to sync the remote to the TV and select English as the language. Also, it seems that you MUST create a Samsung account before you're even able to get through setup. Really guys?! But I can't take a star for this. This TV deserves every bit of 5 stars!

LG puts this TV ahead of the pack!

I’m upgrading from a Vizio 50” 3D 1080p television (which is a very nice TV). I felt it was time to take the plunge into 4K. I did my homework and knew my price range. I wanted to stick with 3D (I for one actually enjoy watching 3D movies at home), but 3D would have cost another $300 with this line). I was debating between the LG 65UH7700 and a Bravia 65” 4K. I saw both of them in the store first hand, and just thought the LG had a better picture and handled motion a lot better.
Getting it home, make sure there are two people to carry this box inside, to de-box it, and to mount the base and stand it up. Instructions are well noted to not flex the TV, else it could break. Setup was easy. The Magic remote is pretty cool. For those who have never used a Magic remote, it works like a mouse pointer to where you project from the remote a pointer on to your TV to use to navigate on the screen (within menus and within apps). I actually have difficulty trying to hold the pointer in place and clicking on something; when I do, the pointer moves at the last second and I end up clicking outside the area I wanted to click on. To the rescue is the “LG TV Plus” app (Android and Apple). Install this app on your mobile device, and your device turns into a full-featured remote. The only reason you’ll need your Magic remote after that is really to power the TV on (but I think you can even change that within the TV’s settings). You pair your device with your TV (both have to be on the same network (i.e. your home network)) which is very easy. You can then use your device’s touch screen to navigate the pointer on your TV’s screen.
LG’s app store is somewhat limited: the typical streaming and weather apps along with a couple of unique games. I wish this TV had Google TV built in (the Sony did), but that’s okay that it doesn’t. I can easily project my Android’s (Galaxy S4) full screen to my TV (using my phone’s built-in Miracast). That way, anything I do on my phone shows up on the screen. Again, this is happening across your home’s network/wifi. There is a tiny bit of latency (perhaps this is not an issue with newer mobile devices; my S4 is old!). There are other ways to get Android TV on to your LG (or any TV that has HDMI), such as a Mi Box device or running RemixOS on a PC that’s hooked up to your TV or a Remix Mini device.
My HD antenna channels show up okay. I was actually not impressed with this. HD antenna channels looked better on my old Vizio. Upscaling and fitting to 65” I think pixelates the broadcast video. For a TV that has 240 Hz refresh rate, I expected very smooth movement. It just doesn’t do anything for me. Some channels seem to be worse than others. I sit about 20 feet from the TV.
The menus and apps are all made to accommodate 4K. They show up well, nice, and crisp. Streaming 4K via YouTube is nice. This will burn up your bandwidth. Just beware if you start getting notices from your internet service provider about reaching or going over your monthly allowances on bandwidth consumption/download limits. I have video files that are 4K, and all I do is simply copy them to a jump drive and plug the jump drive into the LG’s USB ports. The 65UH7700 has three USB ports including one that supports 3.0. This is very nice! Make sure you have a 3.0 USB jump drive or external storage device though. Else, you’re not taking advantage of the speed that 3.0 offers. This is somewhat critical, because if you’re playing 4K video off a USB jump drive (or external hard drive), then you want to make sure the device is USB 3.0 compliant and to plug this device into the LG’s 3.0 USB port. 4k video files are large…really large! A native 4k 2-hour video could end up being about 40 to 50 GB in size. To play a 4K video, you want to make sure that you’re able to pull data from the storage device fast…else, you may notice some hiccups in playback quality. And the absolute best thing about this TV’s USB ports is that they allow you to access USB storage that has been formatted using NTFS. Older and even new TVs (and wow, even the PS4 Pro) support only devices formatted using FAT32). When a device is formatted (i.e. using Windows) in FAT32, the most capacity that any device reading it is 32 GB; and the largest file size is 4 GB. Again, when 4K videos end up being much larger than this, you need to be able to support storage devices that are formatted in NTFS. With NTFS, file sizes can be as large as 16 TB! So, hat’s off to LG for supporting NTFS-formatted external storage devices!
So, the primary reason for getting this TV was to show off my PS4 Pro. I’m happy to say that literally days ago, LG came out with an update that makes this TV perfectly compatible with the latest firmware release of the PS4 Pro. There were some lingering issues prior to this LG firmware release, but everything has now been resolved. The TV really shows off the PS4 Pro well. I understand that there are no PS4 (nor Xbox One) games that are done in true native 4K, but PS4 Pro does support HDR and plays games in 2k. The games themselves must be made to show in these higher resolutions. (That’s another review for another day!).
Overall, an awesome TV. Bought the 65UH7700 for $1299 along with 2-year Geek Squad. I feel like this was a great investment. I can literally watch hours on end some of the 4K nature content that’s on YouTube. I do hope that more movies are eventually released in 4K. If you purchase it, remember to keep those updates up-to-date (either manually or automatically). I do appreciate LG for putting out that PS4 Pro fix in such a timely manner, showing that they back their customers who have already made a significant investments.

Very portable and easy to navigate the menus. Takes very nice, quality photos, considering the price. I've purchased several Canon cameras (same product line), and we wear them out.

Figured out the remote

Internet Connectable?Yes
Connected to the Internet:Yes
So yea, this is a really great TV but like many, Ive been plagued by a poor remote...until now. Having trouble with the remote not responding unless you point right at the tv while standing right on top of it? You need to pair your remote and tv through thr tv`s wifi function. Your remote has the ability to work with your tv via the tv`s wifi. No, you do not need wifi in your home. Your tv broadcasts a wifi for your remote to connect to. After they are paired, your remote can work from the other side of the house!
First, make sure your tv is fully updated. I dont know if this is an original function or not, so make sure it has all of the latest updates. If its connected to the internet, it should be getting updates automaticaaly. I dont know how to do updates manually.
Next, using the remote press the Menu button. Select Devices. Select the option to add remote. Follow the on screen instructions to pair. The remote background lights will flash.
No where did i see this in the instructions. So dont throw away the remote or batteries...it does work...once you pair them.

Google tv

recently purchased a google tv and just moved and can't rember how to plug all the cords in??
Google TV device should have an HDMI "out" on it. Plug that in to this TV's HDMI "in". HDMI carries both your video and sound from the device to the TV.
