Power cord not needed for 80% of dishwashers

I received a no charge dishwasher installation from Best Buy so I HAD to purchase this kit to get the free installation. Lowe's and Sears sell a similar kit without the power cord for $14.99. I had the installer give me the power cord because I paid for it. The installer said 80% of his dishwasher installs do not need the power cord. Best Buy needs to be competitive with Lowe's and Sears and offer a kit without the power cord to save its customers $15.
What's not so great: Best Buy needs to offer a kit without a power cord for less $.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The no charge installation was a limited time offer. The kit comes with the power cord and not the dishwasher. Dishwasher only needs the power cord if you plug it into an outlet in the wall. Most dishwashers are hard wired into your house's electric system.
