Best Microwave Ever on Halloween

If your favorite movie is the Ghostbusters or you reminiscent of days past telling ghost stories by a campfire, then this microwave is for you. I'm pretty certain Samsung's microwave manufacturing department was built on an old Indian burial ground. Simply put, the microwave is possessed. At random, this friendly spirit would like to turn on the LED light below it. Which is great if you want to get in fight after fight with your spouse arguing about who left the light on again. Just when you realize your microwave is playing a trick on you (and you should apologize to your spouse but of course don't)...it tries a few more things, such as turning on the fan. Who wouldn't want to hear the equivalent noise of a hair dryer going off late at night? Sometimes, just to toy with you it would stay on just long enough for you to reach the kitchen and then turn back off. Funny microwave, that was a good one. But wait, there's more. The SOB will then decide to exact its revenge toward you by burning your food. Or, should I say more accurately; cooking it unevenly so your frozen burrito you so looked forward to eating is ice cold in the center and lava hot at the ends. How does it do this you ask? Is it magic? Maybe. Or maybe because it decides to turn the turntable on and off at random too.
After awhile, the microwave breaks you and instead of crying you simply get use to the nuances. That's when you let your guard down and that's when it really strikes. You then get the dreaded SE code (which I can only assume means shoddy engineering). This will shut it down completely. But don't worry, within the first year they will send out a technician at no charge and in just a few short weeks after they leave...it repeats all over again! Silly Samsung, a new controller can't fix 1000 years of Indian Spirits.

Is the handle made of metal or plastic?
Metal. Overall this is a good thing, but if its above the main burner like it is at our house, it can get slightly hot to the touch if that burner is running.

"One Touch Cooking"
Does "One Touch Cooking" mean that "If I press 2, the unit will come on and cook for 2 minutes?
No, not even close. In fact, there is no number pad at all but rather a dial. There are presets where a single button or a button within a menu will cook your items for you (kind of like presets). May not be as important on other microwaves, but is more so on this one as there are different modes it can be in (eg: convection oven vs toaster vs microwave).

WHAT IS AN EXTENDED VENT?
A PERSON PUT IN A REVIEW THAT THE MICROWAVE HAD AN EXTENDED VENT OPTION. I'M NOT SURE WHAT THAT IS. CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN. REALLY INTERESTED IN BUYING THIS MICROWAVE.
I don't know what this person is talking about but you can vent it internally (which in my opinion is just silly) or externally (extra hardware required). The vent works well when vented outside. The microwave however is a bit buggy with an SE error you may want to research before taking the plunge.

Can you bake with an actual cookie sheet (small 9 1/2 x 13)?
Wondering if this will both fit in the micro and if it will cook correctly? It seems like the circular tray will only bake maybe fries for 2, but I cook for a family and wouldn't ever cook an amount that small. I know it will cook a whole roast, but it seems like it will not cook a good family sized amount of something that needs to be spread out on a tray, ie chicken tenders or cookies. So just wondering if a cookie sheet can be used.
I don't believe you can put in a cookie sheet, but it can cook what ever you can fit in it (and its decently large). I'm not sure cookies would be the best choice though. Its not an oven, but rather a convection oven. I find that the only real use for a convection oven is for meat (with the irony that I'm a vegetarian). We pretty much just use this as a microwave and never found the "extra" settings to be that useful or good.

Can I see a rear view of this product to determine rear venting.
Contractor wants to prepare the hole in the outside wall before the product is on site.
Chances are, you already have your answer by now and I can't upload a picture for you. What I can say is my contractor had zero issues installing it once it came. They won't change a single thing for it, so I don't know why it would matter.

Is it a toaster oven?
Can I use this as a toaster oven?? Is that the browning it talks about??
There is a toasting unit on the top of the compartment. You must use one of the provided racks to get your bread really close to the top and then flip it over half way through. In my opinion, its easier to just use a toaster. Its not a toaster oven though.

Toasting & grilling
If you have to turn your slice of bread over then how long does it take to toast? Will it toast so that it is crispy?
If you have to turn the slice over then how does this work for other items like steaks, fish, etc? If so then I think this would be a pain in the A__ to have to do this with all foods.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. The "extra features" this microwave has really doesn't make it worth it as a toaster or oven can do a better job in my opinion. That doesn't mean its a bad microwave (the SE errors do though). Some foods don't require as much prep as others. If you use it as a microwave (and it works), you won't have any issues. We simply stopped trying to do the extra features and used it only as a microwave. Works well for that (once again, when it is working).
