Only thing good is picture quality
on April 13, 2016

I held off writing a review on this until I noticed all the posts with similar issues, but marked as "Unhelpful". As a technical person day in and out, I felt the need to help validate those other reviews.
First off, the picture quality of this screen is pretty good for this class of screens. It's not the best image quality available, but in this price range and size, it is a good example of Samsung picture quality. It's also not an ugly television, though it's design is nothing extravagant or head-turning. That, with the standard connections and options aside, is pretty much the positive view of this set.
Where this TV fails is with the rest of the performance. Below is a list of what those failure are:
* Changing volume on the TV using the remote produces a 2-5 second delay before the screen registers the volume change and displays it on screen. Sometimes the volume audibly changes, but the display does not indicate it for several seconds.
* Occasionally, changing a channel also experiences a noticeable delay, though not as prominent or often as the volume delay, which is every time.
* This screen is connected wirelessly to a high-speed internal network. To provide context, our half-acre lot is completely covered by our AC router, range extenders, and bridges, and no corner of the house lacks connectivity. However, the TV constantly requires 3-7 minutes to setup and connect to the network after being turned on.
* Compounding the initial connectivity issues above, the TV will disconnect randomly while using various streaming apps, like Netflix, Hulu, YouTube - It does not appear to be app/service related.
* Despite an external connection speed of 40-65Mbps avg., streaming apps are constantly buffering or reloading. Netflix is notorious for stopping at 25% loading, even after having played successfully for several shows. When this happens, I also cannot exit the smart hub and have to restart the TV by unplugging it.
* I have to manually restart this TV by unplugging it about 2-4 times a week, depending on usage. It's in a playroom and is used approximately 2 hours a day, total run time, so this is a significant impact based on usage time.
* It turns itself back on occasionally. Every documented case of this I have logged has been when I turn the TV off with it in the smart hub. Periodically, I will finish a Netflix or Hulu show and hit the power button to turn off the set without returning to cable/OTA TV. Approximately 3-5 minutes later, the TV will turn back on. I think what's happening is the screen is shutting off, but the TV stays on, much like your computer when the monitor turns off, but the machine stays running. In this case, when it comes back on, it is back to cable/OTA TV, like a computer waking from sleep.
This is a nice looking TV that has good picture quality, and the list of features is quite promising. However, the performance of it is enough to drive you mad. I have owned this since Christmas '15, and after factory resetting it, verifying firmware versions are up to date, and logging all these events, I am working to either return it or replace it through the manufacturer.
If you are using this TV simply as an over-the-air television (non-Smart) then it might be suitable, but you could save money buying a non-Smart variant.
Also, this is the second Samsung set I have purchased since October 2015 that has this issue. The other one was a 48" with almost the exact same issues, minus the powering back on issue. That one was returned within a week, but this one wasn't as prominently used, so it was as maddening until the past 2 months.
** If this review is marked unhelpful, I would be curious as to why and who is responsible for that. **

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nifty Mini Drawer: Keep your coffee supplies together with this drawer, which is designed to fit underneath most Keurig at-home brewers for easy organization. The scratch- and stain-resistant steel drawer holds up to 24 K-Cup coffee pods for ease of use.

The picture looks wrong

It looks like the picture you provided is the full size version of the pod drawer, not the mini. Did you post the review for the wrong item or take a picture of the wrong one?

It's fine for basic tasks
By laptopbuyer
I got this laptop thinking it would be more than adequate for web browisng, music, video streaming, etc. And it is. When I picked this little laptop up, I knew that I wasn't getting a gaming laptop but I knew that it should be able to handle Minecraft at default settings and Tomb Raider (2013) edition at low settings at, at least 30 frames per second. But to my surprise it's literally so bad that it can't even run minecraft without dropping to a whopping 19 FRAMES. I tried everything like changing the performance mode to maximum on the battery setting and I also lowered all of the graphical settings and this thing dies either way. Please Lenovo, update the graphics drivers so I can play Tomb Raider or Minecraft at low settings. There has to be something wrong with Lenovo's software optimization because this is ridiculous. I will raise the rating to 5 once these issues are solved cause it's such a shame that such a nicely designed laptop had to perform this way. The screen is quite nice and the speakers are nice and loud as well but as long as the performance is this bad, I don't recommend this laptop to anyone. Get the HP Pavilion, it saves more money and performs the way this laptop should for almost half of the price.

The specs for this machine online lists the 7th Gen i5-7200U as the processor, but also list the core clock at 1.2GHz and the integrated graphics as a 615 chipset. All of this isn't accurate, however, as the 7200U is a 2.5Ghz chip, as the Lenovo response says, with a 620 GPU. Since the GPU and the clock are inline with the 7Y54, I am inclined to think the CPU speed and GPU model are accurate, and this machine is powered by the i5-7Y54, not the i5-7200U.
This is an important designation to keep in mind. The 7200U is a 15 watt chip that uses more power, but has that 2.5GHz speed, which is a higher, more capable baseline than the 754Y. The other chip, the 754Y is a mobile processor, previously branded under the m5 line. It's total power (TDP) is 4.5 watts, which means less energy consumption. It's capable of overclocking on-demand to 3.2GHz, which can perform as well as the 7200U, but it's not a sustained increase, reserved for more intensive requests.
Additional notes are the supported memory bandwidths of the 7Y54 being almost 5Gb/s less, and the max resolution on the GPU being lower. The CPU is still a decent chipset, but it's not as capable as the 7200U due to it's low-power design. The idea behind the m series, and the 754Y CPU in this machine, is to provide a capable machine at a must lower power consumption. Benchmarks actually show the battery life and performance not quite on par with the initial idea behind this CPU series, but the fact is it still uses less power than the 7200U, and is technically a more "mobile" processor.
All of that said, if you are looking for a portable machine that is more capable than a standard home user, I would look for a different machine with the i5-7200U chipset. If you aren't sure, check the integrated graphics model, as the 7200U will have the Intel 620. If you just need a daily use, portable machine that is light and very mobile, this machine should perform fine, but don't expect to load up Photoshop on it for on-the-fly rendering, or game on it with a great experience. It will do it, but you will be disappointed you didn't sacrifice the weight and power for a more capable machine.

If the specifications say that the processor is i5, why do the answers to the question about the processor say m5? Are the responders referring to the 700 model?

The i5 in this machine is not the i5-7200U. It's actually the i5-7Y54, which is a rebranded m5 mobile CPU. Intel rebranded the m series, except for the m3, to move it under the umbrella of the "i" line. Just like the m5, this CPU is a 4.5TDP (thermal design power) which means, on average, it uses less power than the 7200U (15w TDP). It's truly a "mobile" processor. The GPU on this set is also lower than the 7200U, as an Intel 615 is on board. The CPU is capable of overclocking to 3.2GHz using Intel's "Turbo Boost" but it's not a sustained speed for regular use. It's a fine machine for regular household and for something lightweight and portable, but the CPU benchmarks have shown the i5 more efficient with power management, even though it's power draw is higher.

Would this have enough power to run the Sims? I just need to run the Sims, basic web surfing, and word processing.

If you are talking about the original Sims, this should handle it. Don't expect a bunch of gaming out of it, though. It's more targeted toward the home user who needs office applications, web browsing, and streaming movies. It's a nice, lightweight, mobile machine.

However, if you want something a bit more capable, check out the HP Pavillion on sale right now. It's also a 2-in-1 with a flip around keyboard/screen, but it's poweredby the real i5-7200U with an Intel 620 GPU. It will be a bit more capable for the same cost.
