iPad® mini 2 has a stunning 7.9-inch Retina display with over 3.1 million pixels. It also comes with the A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, ultrafast wireless, iSight and FaceTime HD cameras, powerful apps, and up to 10 hours of battery life.1 Yet it still fits easily in one hand.

This is my third iPad, just wanted the smaller one for tradeshow coverage use as I can type much quicker on it with both hands than with either iPhone or iPad. If you're already in the Apple ecosystem, it's a no brainer if you like the size - it's great that app purchases and everything ports over for free and syncs. Compared to Android based tablets I've tried, the screen is much more responsive and the layout of apps is much more intuitive. My only complaint with the iPads in general is that you need to pay for the much more expensive cell phone equipped models to get the GPS chip, which is really necessary to use Google Maps, etc.

What's great about it: Lightweight and easily ports over existing Apple accounts
What's not so great: Needs the cell phone part to get GPS
