Little boxes go boom

These are a bass heavy speaker, meaning that the bass is fairly strong but it overpowers the rest of the music. Vocals, guitars, and high percussion will sound muted in comparison. However, these could be just the thing you're looking for if you want some well built speakers to put in your garage or workshop. Or if you really are "all about that bass, no treble". Recommended only if on sale or for a specific purpose. For critical listening of music, I would pass on these.

For the price, these are amazing

Great sound quality that rivals much more expensive speakers. I bought these at the same time as a pair of Polks and the Polks just went back to the store. What does that tell you? You owe it to yourself to give these a listen. They won't knock you out of your seat with the low notes because that's what a subwoofer is for. However, they still produce a clean and tight bass response that really rocks. The vocals and high percussion notes are well balanced, meaning that you'll hear a lot of detail with these. Pair them up with an active subwoofer and you've got a great desktop setup or a good start for a home theater. Highly recommended!

title is deceptive.
By kramrellus
Bought the TV during black Friday in July for $299. Great TV for the price. My problem was that in the title and product features online it says it's an LED TV or implicating that it is an LED TV, when it is actually an LCD TV. I looked at the specs online afterwards and noticed it says it has an LCD display, but it does say LED in the title, which is misleading. Other than that I'm happy with it.

LED TV means an LCD with LED backlighting
July 31, 2016
Other flat panel technologies are plasma (no longer made) and OLED (the cutting edge and much more expensive). OLED is not the same as LED, know the difference. Most every new LCD TV uses an array of LED's for the backlighting so they are called LED TV's even though they are still just LCD panels with arrays of LED's used to light the panels. Older LCD TV's used less efficient backlighting methods that would fade out over time.

For the price, nothing else comes close. Stock up!

Love, love, love my Lumia 640s. Even at double the price, this is an amazing pocket computer. Each of my three kids use them for Netflix streaming, Minecraft, Skype, etc. (and dad doesn't get mad when they drop one in the bathtub or leave it at a park, he just hands them a new one and and lets them sync all their data back from the cloud). If a particular app from another platform is mission-critical for you, check the Windows Store to see if the app (or a good third-party client or replacement) is available - that is the one and only weak spot of the 640. Set up one as a home security camera. Leave another in the car as a dedicated GPS unit (the Microsoft maps app on Windows 10 is as good as the old Here maps). It's not going to crawl like a comparably-priced Android device, and Apple doesn't even make devices with native Skype, easily expandable memory, etc. at any price. If price weren't an issue, is a flagship smartphone going to give a superior experience? Of course. But this will do 80% of what you would do on a brand new iPhone or a Galaxy S7 for 5% of the price. I just bought a few more 640s as backups. The Lumia 640 pocket computer is a no brainer.

GPS requires activation?

Can you use it as a mobile GPS unit without activating it on Cricket's network?

Can I use my amazon fire stick in the HDMI port?

I don't see why not. You can plug any HDMI stick or cable box into this TV. You use the Roku menus to access your HDMI inputs as opposed to a complicated remote with dozens of unused buttons. The Roku system already gives you a great Smart TV experience, so you may not even need the Amazon stick.

I am looking to buy this tv, seems like a great price. The one thing that stopping me, is the wireless connection. I will only connect with an ethernet connection. Is there a way to connect with a hard connection with an adaptor, or something?

From what I can tell, there are no wired ethernet ports on this TV. If you don't have wireless (wifi) available and you are happy with your current internet connection, you can add a wireless access point to your existing ethernet system. That way you don't have to change your router or anything else. The TV has built in wireless because I assume that most people will see that as a valuable convenience (as opposed to running more wires.)

Does my Directv receiver work with Roku TV if I plug it in using HDMI cable?

Any device that outputs over HDMI can be used with this TV. Roku is just the built in smart TV technology which is designed to make it easier to use. You can still access your HDMI and other inputs / outputs, but you use the Roku interface to select them. That's why the remote doesn't have 100 different buttons that you'll never use. It's very simple to operate once you get used to it.

Will a banana plug fit?

Will a banana plug fit in the back of these speakers? If not which ones will? I don't want to buy regular speaker wire. I'd rather buy wire that already has a hookup at the end of it. Thank you.
Yes. Banana plugs will fit and that's the way I'm using mine. You can also use bare wire. If you're asking if a double plug will fit, then I'm not sure.

I was wondering what the sensitivity is in dB?

I was wondering what the sensitivity is in dB?
I can't find it in the documentation, but they sound pretty efficient to me. I'd guess it's around 90 dB.
