I have loved the photographs I have taken with this lens on my D5100. The lens is easy to use. As a newcomer to DSLR photography, I couldn't be happier with the results.

Great Lens

This lens performs as advertised. As a relative newcomer to DSLR photography, I was concerned that using this lens would be intimidating and difficult. Not at all. I have had great results photographing birds in flight - the "Normal" tracking mode is easy to use. I have yet to try the lens out in "Active" mode. The lens is heavy, but the quality and results make up for the weight.
What's great about it: Ease of use and vibration reduction.
