Contrary To The Name, A Shrewd Music Collection

American Idiot by Greenday is actually a cd that my husband purchased around the time that it was released when he was still in Japan (through the navy). I have had an intuitive feeling to also check out more of the music that my husband listens to, with this cd being one of them. As many know, multiple songs on the American Idiot cd by Greenday have deep meanings that touch on various life issues such as American Idiot, Holiday,Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends. Listening to this whole superb rock cd is an amusing experience though I admit to Extraordinary Girl being one of my favorite songs from this collection (for some reason). Anyhow, American Idiot by Greenday is a meaningful rock collection for those who like music from the early 2000’s

The Bucket List stars Jack Nicholson as billionaire hospital businessman Edward Cole and Morgan Freeman as a hard working car mechanic named Carter Chambers who also has a passion for history. Both Edward Cole and Carter Chambers strike up an unexpected friendship after meeting in a hospital while fighting for their lives. Ironically enough, Edward Cole is rushed to the hospital after having a meeting pertaining to his business dealings with a hospital. Carter Chambers if first shown eventually being rushed to the hospital after successfully answering some trivia questions given to him by a coworker and mentioning about Tesla. There is also a cultural reference to the Divine Comedy in this film. Edward Cole has led a very successful material life, but his relationships have been another story. Meanwhile, Carter Chambers loves his wife Virginia Chambers (Beverly Todd0 and other members of his family a lot. However, Chambers decides to go on a bucket list trip with Cole because all of mostly his grown life has been spent putting others before himself. Chambers realizes that he wants to use some of his remaining months to enjoy his life before he dies. One of the touching scenes in the film is where the character of Cole is shown diplomatically but firmly insisting to his doctor that he also asks Chambers if he has any health questions as well instead of leaving him to wait longer than needed for the other doctor. Some of the adventures that Edward Cole and Carter Chambers go on together involve bungee jumping and going on a safari via seeing some animals. Cole’s assistant Matthew (Sean Hayes) helps tend to Cole’s end of life business dealings and the bucket list trip. The following features to this film are; movie trailers for Semi-Pro, Bernard and Doris, Mama’s Boy, and Get Smart. The Screenwriter of Bucket List (under the special feature of Writing A Bucket List) explains the idea behind why he decided to script The Bucket List (Mario Sorrenti is credited to have played a role in directing the Bucket List). There is also an additional bonus of getting more special features if this dvd is inserted in the dvd rom player of a personal computer. Last,, but not least, this dvd has a special feature of the music video for Say What You Need To Say by John Mayer (including scenes for the movie).

A Self-Assured Protagonist

Roadhouse was another one of the films that for some reason I was curious to see again (I first saw in my teens) in order to get a glimpse and understanding in what my late adoptive mother enjoyed and how it may have indirectly influenced my own interests (due to the fact that Patrick Swayze was one of my late adoptive mother’s favorite actors). Anyhow Roadhouse has Patrick Swayze starring as James Dalton a skilled bouncer who does not hesitate to stand up for himself or anybody who breaks the given rules at the bars that he works at. James Dalton is working at a popular New York City Bar when Frank Tilghman (Kevin Tighe) offers him a job working at a bar that he is opening in Missouri. James Dalton ends up running the new bar very well, but ends up having to deal with some of the locals in his new hometown wanting to seek revenge in a harsh way. What complicates matters is that falls in love with a woman named Dr. Elizabeth Clay who has a past history with influential businessman Brad Wesley. Brad Wesley is a harsh rival going after Dalton because of the threat that Dalton poses to how he has previously run things. Dalton finds out about Clay’s history because a popular musician named Cody (Jeff Healey) told him Clay’s past marriage. Dalton’s friend Wade Garrett (Sam Elliott) becomes concerned about the well-being of Dalton after a phone call due to Dalton dating an ex of a hostile enemy. Wade also questions the danger and risks of Dalton staying in his adopted Missouri hometown.

Distinctive Side of Pink
on July 17, 2015

As with millions of other people, I was introduced to Pink when her song There You Go was released via radio airplay and television during the late 90’s/early 2000’s. Greatest Hits So Far by Pink showcases a brilliant pop/rock medley of many of the tunes that demonstrate her imaginative spirit such as Get The Party Started, Sober, Raise Your Glass, Perfect etc. The only caveat from my perspective; I’m surprised to not see Most Girls by Pink on this collection (which is also a good song, yet Pink probably has understandable reasons why Most Girls is currently unavailable on this collection). I had first heard Most Girls by Pink on a various artists music collection when I was stationed in Japan around late 2000/early 2001.

Jollification of Dance/Electronic Music
on July 17, 2015

I admit that I pre-ordered Ultra Dance 16 on January 30, 2015 because of how much I liked the music on Ultra 2015. Ultra Dance 2016 is a two disc set that contains 12 songs each from some of the dance music industry’s most popular names (Calvin Harris, John Newman, David Guetta, Sam Martin, Mr. Probz, Chris Brown, T.I.,, Ed Sheeran, Steve Aoki, Fall Out Boy, Hardwell, Chris Jones, and many more. I also wonder if such dance/electronic music collections such as Ultra Dance 16 and other music compilations are used as basis for future new music releases within the music industry (not that there is anything wrong with this, I actually think it is a good idea). However, the reason why I say this is because many can see when Ultra Dance 2016 was released. However, I have noticed (both on a music radio station that I listen to out of Norfolk Virginia and on multiple local radio stations out here) that the catchy/upbeat song Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix) by Omi is on Ultra Dance 2016 and has been surging in popularity more and more during this summer.

Enthralling and High Energy Music Mix
on July 17, 2015

I ended up purchasing this 2cd set of Trevor Simpson & Cato K present Ultra 2008 because I was looking for a song by musician Pitbull that I first heard in Norfolk, Virginia (the song is called crazy). Thing song is not on this collection, but fortunately I obtained this collection at a very low price and found a multiple number of other gems on this collection. There are enjoyable songs by Tiesto feat. BT, Yanou, Armand Van Helden, Plumb, Gwen Stefani, Pink, and many others. There is even an eclectic club dance mix with the song Calabria 2007 by Enur featuring the late singer Natasja Saad and many more fun songs on this collection.

Current Enchanted Forest-Like Cover Complements Mu

Tango In The Night by Fleetwood Mac contains multiple deep and meaningful songs that symbolize various facets of life. The current image of the majestic forest for Tango In The Night complements the songs in this collection perfectly. I admit that I was curious to listen to this collection after remembering three of the songs that I first heard around the time I was 7 seen featured on this collection. For instance, for some reason unknown to me, I was first captivated by the song Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac when I first heard it on the radio (around the age of 7). The well-known track Little Lies is also featured on the Tango of the Night Collection. There are other meaningful songs featured on this Tango In The Night collection (via Fleetwood Mac) that I was not previously familiar with such as Mystified. Anyhow Tango In The Night by Fleetwood Mac is perfect for eclectic music lovers and/or those who are fine with listening to 80’s soft rock.

Intensity Between Life and Death Increased Expone

The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 continues Katnis Everdeen’s (Jennifer Lawrence)journey towards saving both herself and those who surround her. President Snow (Donald Sutherland) is up to his cold and calculating ways (although as I mentioned in the previous review I understand why him and Lawrence must play the protagonist and antagonist roles). One must have a strong stomach due to a scene shown where Everdeen’s character sees what happens to her home district. Many of the famous celebrities from the previous films return with Lawrence and Sutherland (such as Liam Hemsworth, Josh Huthcherson, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, there is also Julianne Moore and more famous people featured etc.). There is also a scene where viewers are introduced to Jennifer Lawrence’s musical talent (through her song The Hanging Tree). The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 is best for those who have viewed the previous Hunger Games films and/or are open to watching science fiction war type films.

Moment In A Musical Celebration
on July 12, 2015

Time Of Our Lives by Miley Cyrus is a seven song set that has her expressing part of her original music spirit via a range of songs that showcase various facets of the celebration of life (such as with Party In The U.S.A). There are also moments marked with emotional intensity such as in the song When I Look At You. Nonetheless, Time of Our Lives by Miley Cyrus is best for those who are familiar with any of her songs and/or enjoy dance and/or popish songs.

Billy Joel’s Vocal Expressions
on July 12, 2015

The Essential Billy Joel is a thirty six song set that displays many of his hits from different stages of his career such as; Uptown Girl, You May Be Right and We Didn’t Start The Fire. Many songs touch on various aspects of his soul such as his side dealing with being in love in the Always A Woman side and what appears to be a spiritual theme with River of Dreams. As with many others, I was first exposed to Billy Joel’s music growing up (my first song that I remember hearing on the radio that was by Billy Joel was around the time I was 8 or 9 years old with the song We Didn’t Start The Fire. Nonetheless, The Essential Billy Joel Collection is great for those who are familiar with 80’s music with a calming rock vibe in many songs and an upbeat pop vibe in others.
