We all love the Guitar Man, but here he presents a knockoff that sounds like an afternoon jam in the studio... not much prep as far as I can tell. Danny Boy?! Tequila?! (He even has to call the bridge.... just wing it boyz!). This is no Benson Burner, and doesn't have the song choice or arrangements that would make a cozy affair like this stand up as a pop gem, either. The vocals are all great, but mostly with solo guitar... all in all, a nice ditty that really doesn't bear repeated listening... sorry GB, not an 'Easy A'.
What's great about it: the vocals, the intimate recording
What's not so great: the song choice and arrangements
