it's still a good movie

Many compare it to Clash Of The Titans but shouldn't. This movie, like many others never shouldn't be compared to anything but itself. It should stand on its own merit which it does admirably. So far I've seen it three times and it get better each time. Sometimes seeing a movie your expectations are not met, thus you think it's a bad sequel. Just clear your head of what was and concentrate on what is, and you'll enjoy this movie as much as a do. It's worth buying.
What's great about it: bad gets beaten
What's not so great: too short

good sequel but not great

What can you do to top the first Sherlock Holmes movie? Not much, as this sequel proved. Though well conceived it comes up short on freshness, unless you count on Dr. Watsons lady wife, she was the most new and vibrant charater in this whole movie. At the end, that was seen many times before, lastly on PBS Mystery's. There it showed Holmes and Moriarty going over the edge, but not on how Holmes escaped death. But did Moriarty die? Perhaps in the third installment we'll find out, if people still want this movie to continue.
What's great about it: the actors
What's not so great: a none unique story line

Jude Law and Joseph Fiennes star in the searing war drama Enemy at the Gates. Paramount has produced a very fine looking 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer that is void of any defects, imperfections, or other trouble spots that might mar the image. The colors all look very bright and well saturated with the black levels appearing dark and solid. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround in English, as well as Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround in English and French. The Dolby 5.1 soundtrack is mixed well and utilizes many instances of directional effects and sounds. All aspects of the soundtrack are clear and free of any excessive hiss or distortion. Also included on this disc are English subtitles. Special features include two promotional featurettes, "Through the Crosshairs" and "Inside Enemy at the Gates," each running about 15 to 20 minutes long. These are typical promo featurettes that include a few interviews with the cast and crew, some behind-the-scene footage, and lots of clips from the film. Nine deleted scenes are also included that shed a bit more light on the story line and characters. Finally, there is the usual theatrical trailer for the film.

The movie was appealing to the eye and the senses. It showed the other side of WWII from the Russians viewpoint, and it wasn't a very nice viewpoint, but historical accurate. The Russians did kill many of their own during the war. The love triangle was a good touch. Friends who benefited from each other earlier became combatants when a woman showed up in their lives. The best part was the Germans sending their best sniper, an officer to deal with the much publicized hero of the Motherland. The movie ends up the way I liked. I’d recommend it to others.
What's great about it: the thrill
What's not so great: shooting their own men when they retreated

A movie like no other

Deja Vu was in one word awesome. It put a new twist on the time travel movies which are too many of these days. Not only did the lead character die, he stood over himself at the same time. He knew about the past while in the present and didn't understand why. Enlightenment would come later thanks to the FBI. All in all I loved the show except for one of my more favorite actors playing the heavy. If it wasn't for that, I'd of liked it even more. Needless to say it was a great movie.
What's great about it: different twist on time
What's not so great: the actor who played the killer

suspensefull movie

To say the least it's one of Sean Connery's best performances ever. Along with that Nick Cage is outstanding. Best seen in Blu-ray was a treat. Not all older movies do well in Blu-ray but this one was great. If you're looking for a movie with suspense, thrills like in The Temple of Doom, scraping by by your fingernails and wits, then this is it. I'd recommend it to everyone.
What's great about it: the plot
What's not so great: nothing

As you start watching you'll notice it's kind of boring till one of the so called repo men needs what he's been collecting from others and his payments are falling behind. Will they collect his heart? Or will they allow him to keep it for all the good work he's done. Half way through the story gets really moving. The end is....a different ending then I thought. I won't spoil it for you. You'll just have to see it for yourself, but it's worth the viewing.

This movie was over all very good. Perhaps not in the way an old John Wayne movie would of been, but then if the Duke made a movie today it's probably be of this kind. The acting was good, the scenes excellentlly photographed, yet having the star die was typical of this type, and especially for Nick Cage who seems to die in a lot of his latest movies. See it for yourself, he dies a lot. I would recommend this movie to a friend, even by it if the price was right. Mine was. I enjoyed the prompt delivery and the no shipping fee. I'll be buying more from Best Buy in the future if it continues.
What's great about it: historic portrayal of our indian citizens
What's not so great: Nick Cage getting killed again

You think you’ve seen it all when it comes to horror or sci-fi, but no way. This mixture of western post civil war action mixed with the bounty hunter from hell, who can talk to the dead easier then the living, really had me on the edge. Who do you root for, the kind of dead bounty hunter, or the man he thought dead who killed his wife and child for something he didn’t do. The movie was good, could have been better, yet I like it and glad I bought it. One thing about it, it could have been longer. I also think this could be the first of more. Watch for them. I will.

now that's a priest

It is a very different kind of vampire movie. Being just that, a vampire movie, it can be any thing they want, especially ugly old monster vampires, which for once we have here. But the combination of some modern technology mixed with westerns, like the bad priest turned into a new breed of vampire was something else. He seemed like the faithful priest takes on Clint Eastwood in a spaghetti western, which made Clint famous. This film has the endings of a serial, which I hope it becomes. Only draw back, it’s very short. Buy it when cheap. Save money.

At first you think you know what is what. Ten minutes later your thoughts are in another direction. This movie is unlike any I’ve seen before. Something which possibly has been done, but only very few times. If you want suspense, well here it is. If you want revenge, well it’s here too. The cast is excellent, but remember, no one and nothing is what it seems. I’d recommend this movie very highly.
