Great case for protecting my phone

So, I must start with that I have used Speck cases for my iPhone so that they are protected from drops since the iPhone 3. I really love the colors on the Speck cases and was a bit sad that there were so few options at Best Buy on release day but I guess that should be accepted since the Apple store had NO covers on release day. Honestly, I never pay full price for my Speck cases, I always get them with a coupon or on sale but with the phone being brand new and no one having cases, I conceded. I will say that although I do not like to pay full price, I am more than willing to as it protects my phone.
On to the review, I ended up getting the white and charcoal grey cover which looks amazing on my black iPhone, it really fits it well. The cover is a perfect fit for it and with the new design of the phone, it fits awesome in my hand. I saw that on the Speck site there were more colors available but in Best Buy store not quite yet. I LOVE the Speck cases and how well they protect the phone if a drop happens. They also have a great silicone lip on the top which makes it so that your phone screen does not touch surfaces and helps safe it from scratches (I also have a Zagg smudge proof screen cover on it). Another thing that I really like about the white cover is that it will show scratches much less than the other colors I have had. So you should know if you have any other color besides white, it will start showing scratches on the back cover almost immediately but it will protect your iPhone phenomenally.
In regards to Speck products and this cover, I do really love them and think they are worth the money even full price. I will continue to buy them and have them protect my phone from damage.
What's great about it: I love the look of the case and the protection it gives
What's not so great: The full retail price :(
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice for a smudge proof screen

I have tried Zagg covers before and not liked them because on the black iPhone there are A LOT of smudges (which drives me insane). When I had the original screen protector placed on my iPhone 3, it was so smudgy so I promptly took it off. I had heard that Zagg was a great product so when I got my iPhone from the Apple store we went straight to Best Buy for cases and covers. I found this new product (to me) the Zagg Smudge-Proof screen protector and I love it. Previously I purchased a similar product from AT&T but when I saw the Zagg, I decided I would try it.
First off, this screen protector was more expensive than the previous ones I would buy. I used to pay $19.99 for 3 smudge proof screen protectors and this Zagg was $25.99 for 1 screen cover. I had Best Buy install it as it was supposed to be fully moistened and I did not want to deal with that mess. Best Buy installed it quite well for $7.99 and I feel it was well worth the price.
Next, the screen looks very nice on the phone but I wish it went more to the edges and covered a bit better. This might be an initial thing since I did get it the day that the iPhone came out. So, I hope that in a couple of months they release another screen cover that is smudge proof that will cover the entire phone. It is not a big problem as I have a case on it also for protection, but to the edges would be nice. The feel of the screen cover is good and ability to use the iPhone is awesome, I actually like having a little drag on the screen when I am using it.
Finally, the screen quality. Yes, the screen quality is affected by the smudge proof screen, but it always is. I have always had black iPhones and they are TERRIBLE for fingerprints and smudges. My husband has white iPhones and I have noticed the smudges and fingerprints are much less noticeable on his. So if the fingerprints and smudges irritate you, this screen protector is awesome but it does reduce the screen brightness and resolution a bit. I am willing to make that trade off BUT would not use it on a white phone as the smudges are really not able to be seen.
So, overall this screen is good for it's purposes. I do feel it is a bit spendy and wish the cover went to the edges but for now it serves my purpose and I am happy. If smudges are not an issue or concern for you, I would suggest using one of Zagg's other clear product covers.
What's great about it: I do not have to see smudges on my black iPhone 5
What's not so great: The cover does not cover everything
I would recommend this to a friend!
