Good fan, functions confuse, app-alexa+

This Dyson air purifier/fan works well. The setup was very easy. The app functions are pretty nice. The Alexa functions are a little difficult to use and the remote is minimalist and a bit cryptic.
The parts were easy to install out of the box and setting up the app was very easy. You just need to setup a free Dyson account. You simply have to install the filter and cover around the base and it's ready to use. The app allows you to remotely control the fan/filter or set a schedule for run/filter.
The remote is easy to use but you have to read the book to see what everything does. On/Off, Auto, Speed, Oscillation, Fan direction and a few others.
There is a small readout dial on the fan base that provides info (filter/air quality, fan speed, etc.) It's small and tough to read if you are not next to the device.
The Alexa functions are convenient but very particular. You have to say it just right for it to work.

just a couple examples. I haven't tried to modify these successfully to make them simpler.

In all I like the fan/filter and all the options it provides, but it will take a while longer to figure out everything it does, and how to control it all.

Good Product, but limited options

I want to start off with the fact that the product works as expected but it can be limited on where you can install it.
Before you purchase this product think about where you want to install it. Things to consider: the existing switch should be relatively new (old wiring will probably not work or require electrical prep work first), it does not work with 3-way switches only 2-way, it is a single switch so if you have a 2, 3, or more switch plate you will need to modify it to use this single switch.

So I had difficulty with the install the first time I tried this and had to chose another switch to use. You will need a load and lead line as well as a neutral and ground for this to work. Most new wiring (80's and on) should be okay, but older switches that ran the load line straight the light won't work. Also the switch is rather large compared to a standard switch so if you don't have a lot of space in the wall switch box it may not fit (about 2" deep and no space on the side)
The second time around worked better and smooth as described in the directions. Wire-tie all the correct wires inside the box to the switch as explained in the book. It took me about 30 minutes (turn off your power first)
Once installed it will take a few minutes to start working, and you will need to install the app on a mobile device to set up the auto and voice control features.
I had hoped to install in my bathroom to use for the auto-on/off light as well as play music through Alexa, however I remembered that you need to have an additional subscription to play music on multiple devices. Clear Sound, short battery

Overall I was pleased.
Crowded room with about 50 elementary schoolers and families and I could hear conversations from those sitting at my table very clearly.
Battery life was 5-6 hours.
I didn't feel like the ear buds stayed in my ear very. Used the small size but could have used a smaller one.

Well it took me a while to get setup because I needed a new stand to hold this large screen. I replaced a 30" that fit in a small cabinet and had to get a console table to hold this 60". But once I had the table setup this tv was a piece of cake.
The picture is great, the setup was quick and easy (although slightly different than in the manual) and there are a decent number of ports. Also the smart features work well with no lag. I plan to hook up additional devices in the future but wanted to report now rather than wait.
I am a big LG fan but this Hisense is equal in my mind.
It comes with 3 HDMI (although spec says 2 HDCP2.2 inputs), 1 USB, 1 digital optical out, 1 composite video in, 1 analog audio out, Antenna in, headphone out, ethernet port. It's also wifi enabled for smart features.
The picture and sound are great. I have played Xbox watched DVD and streamed Vudu HD movies. I have not hooked in Fios yet though.

Compact, good quality, not comfortable

These tiny ear buds are a very good quality, and work well. The batter lasts a long time and the recharge quickly. One issue with the in-ear buds is all the controls are on your ear so you have to push the ear buds into your ear in order to control them and it's uncomfortable. The sizing while they are just playing is somewhat comfortable and will likely vary on individual ears. The sound quality is great and they cancel out surrounding noise well. I typically use one ear bud at a time so I can still hear, and these work as a pair or right ear only so they were not very accamodating.
Install/setup was quick and easy.
They are small and not connected so you will need to store them in a pocket (where they could be damaged) or the charging case (which may use up your stored charge)

Here is my detailed info.
They were ready to go right out of the box (charged). They were easy to turn on and sync up with my phone. The directions were simple and accurate.
To sync up/turn on you need to press/hold the button on each ear bud. I mentioned they work in pairs or right ear only. If you want to use left only you are out of luck. When they are synced and playing if you remove one of the ear buds from your ear it will pause and won't play again until you put it back in. You can work around this by only turning on the right ear, but you can't use it with only the left (the way I normally did)

Controls are split between 2 ears so if you don't have both in you lose 1/2 the controls. Volume up/down, skip up/back on one ear, and play/pause call/access siri-google-etc. on the other. Sync is on both. You can still control these from your phone or device also.

Good Scanner and Cleaner-many devices

It is always hard to tell if a anti-virus, etc. software works well, because inherently if it's doing its job then you don't know about it. The other features are a little easier to see, device cleanup and speed up.
One of the features I do like is the unlimited devices. You won't have to worry if you installed on this laptop already or this tablet etc. Also it works for PCs/Laptops and mobile devices like phones/tablets.
I installed it on two laptops and my phone. I have not yet installed it on my iPad but plan to soon.

The install was pretty easy on all these devices, however if you have another anti-virus software running you will need to disable it to use this one (they treat each other as threats). There was some login and setup required to use the 2nd device and so on to verify your account but it was not very time consuming. The phone was probably the most time consuming because it recommends additional apps to run with the AVG like the cleaner and some others that I did not use. There are also some pay apps that are also recommended but not required.
I use the main AntiVirus and the AVG Cleaner apps only. I have had no issues of virus and I feel like it does a good job keeping my devices running more efficiently by closing unused apps and cleaning up old files.
I would recommend this software, but I cannot speak to whether it is better than any other brands.

Good keyboard design could improve

This keyboard functions well and is easy to install. Simply plug in USB or turn on Bluetooth to connect.
It connects to your computer via bluetooth or the USB wireless adapter. both work well.
The keyboard functions well for normal Windows functions.
As far as gaming it is a great improvement to my old keyboard. The bluetooth is very responsive and I appreciate the louder click of the mechanical keys. Some of the bad features are the G hot keys - they are hard to reach and not convenient. They are about as difficult to reach as the F keys. Also the space key faces inward at an unusual angle and is slightly uncomfortable.

I have tried out a bunch of bluetooth speakers over time. As just a speaker this one is pretty good quality. As far as taking the place of my Alexa it is not up to mustard.
Get it for a quality portable speaker, and use the Amazon features just as a bonus.

The speaker was easy to get started out of the box. Mine also came with a wireless charging pad (great feature to add to the purchase). It connected easy with my phone to play music etc. I had issues getting Alexa up and running at first but that may have been a wifi connection issue. You will be required to use the app for the speaker to connect. The connection is good, and sound quality is good. One thing I noticed with this brand of speaker before (and this one) the volume up/down controls are slow to respond and lead to over-adjusting the volume before it catches up. This is because it's controlling the phone/device volume it's connected to wirelessly and I guess there's a lag. There are only 4 buttons, volume up, down, power, and sync. All self explanatory. The speaker is a little heavy, so while portable, you probably don't want to carry it around. I suggest taking it where you want and sitting in on a table.
The charging pad is great. You simply need to replace the screw in hook on the bottom of the speaker with a metal one provided with the base. Then you plug in the base w/ provided cord from the speaker (micro USB). Just sit the speaker on top of the prongs on the base and it charges wirelessly and automatically (also it will turn on automatically, so if you don't want it on you'll have to turn it back off)
The only other items to check are the Alexa features. I already have one so if you do too, make sure you keep them in separate rooms. Otherwise they will both play the same thing at the same time when you activate them. The main difference I notice with this speaker Alexa ability vs my original one, is this is a speaker first, so it is connecting to a device to play music from there primarily. When I tried to access online amazon stations it would not do so and would pull from my Google Play phone radio stations instead. This may be an issue with my Amazon music account that doesn't allow additional devices without changing plans. So if you want full function and this is not your only Amazon Alexa device you may have to change your account/plan settings to add a speaker. If this is your only Alexa device then it may work as expected.
Size and shape it is about the same as my Amazon Alexa in size/shape and weight. There is no volume spin control, only up/down buttons.

Great Camera/Picture too sensative

I got this Camera System as an upgrade to the Arlo-pro system I already have. These newer version cameras have a clearer picture and seem like a wider view angle (although specs say the same)
I like the old system and this new system a lot for the motion sensor and the wireless ability. I have been very happy with the older Arlo Pro for about a year and so far the new system works great too.
My one complaint of both is the motion sensor goes off frequently from the motion of my flag outside (I have tried to adjust the position but wouldn't work right). The newer camera seems to be set off frequently from squirrels outside (which the older one did not).
I like the old system and this new system a lot for the motion sensor and the wireless ability. I have been very happy with the older Arlo Pro for about a year and so far the new system works great too.
My one complaint of both is the motion sensor goes off frequently from the motion of my flag outside (I have tried to adjust the position but wouldn't work right). The newer camera seems to be set off frequently from squirrels outside (which the older one did not).

Then you are ready to setup your cameras in a location of your choice. They are rated for indoor or outdoor and work in little/no light to daylight so you have options. The mounting system is the same as the old Arlo Pro. The cameras have a built in magnet in the back and attach to the metal clip that can be screwed into any surface (wood works easiest). Once the clip is installed you can attache the camera to it and swivel it around to get the view you like (you can watch it on your phone as you do it so you know what it looks like)
The cameras can be run full-time if you wire them in, but I got these for the wireless function. They are rechargeable and I haven't run the battery out yet, but I have had to charge my old cameras 3 times each since last December (11 months). So the battery is very good. There is an indicator or the app so you can tell when they are getting low (I charge mine at around 30% or so).

These stay on for 7 days or you delete them.

The range for the cameras seems to be around 50FT or so if going though walls. I had spotty coverage on one camera that was about 45-50 feet away through a couple walls until I got a WiFi extender. Now it's better.
You can play videos, adjust settings,and control cameras from your app or online. A note, every time you log in online it will boot you off the app, and vice-versa.
Overall I like the system a lot. It works very well and the wireless cameras and easy mounts make the set up and any adjustments easy to do.
The only complaint I have is that the motion sensitivity is too much. If you are looking for people to set it off only you may get a lot of false warnings. If you want to catch the rodent that is eating your vegetables then it will work well.

Great RC Car, Battery life and charge ok

I haven't played with a decent RC car since I was a kid.
This car is a lot of fun! A lot of fun.
Quick upsides, fast, easy controls, low base so no roll-over, easy setup out of box, 2 batteries included

Out of the box it was pretty much set to go, you had to take the top body off to connect the battery already in the car. The top body is a flexible plastic cover held w/ cotter pins (I am afraid removing this over time may damage it and need replaced). The battery connection is simple. The remote sync is simple - turn on the remote, wait 3 seconds, turn on the car, done.
The car goes pretty fast ( I did not clock it but would guess 10-15 mph). The steering controls are very responsive and it comes with a trim to adjust steering if it's a little off center. The remote is a trigger/wheel style, not the 2-joystick style. I like the wheel style better. The range is pretty good. I tested it on a parking lot and it ran 100+ feet with no signal loss. The forward was easy to control and steer, the reverse took some getting used to and steering in reverse is tricky when going fast.
I ran both batteries out of the box and didn't know what type of charge they would already have. They both ran around 10 minutes or so. When the battery starts to go the steering pulls to the left and the power starts to drop. It it's 100+ feet away when this happens, turn it back around or start walking to pick it up. The 10 minutes is a little on the low side for what I would like but not unusual compared to cars I had in the past (I just hoped the batteries would have improved). I was running it back and forth mid-full speed most of the time though. They also offer replacement batteries that last longer.
After my 1st test run I took them home to charge. Both batteries took around 90 minutes to charge full again. I took the car out for a fresh battery run and it went around 14 minutes - same running pretty full throttle most of the time. It was fun running over speed humps and getting some air and zig-zaging around the islands. It also seems pretty sturdy - as it ran into a couple curbs and survived fine (also the only time it flipped over). I did not run it in the grass or dirt. I would expect it to work fine just less traction and more cleanup after.
Great car, a lot of fun, I think anyone age 8+ would enjoy it.

I really like this new Google phone
The screen size is a great jump from my iPhone 5s
The camera quality is much better and the fingerprint scanner (located on the back) works well and fast
The switchover was pretty easy from my old phone
And the new Google assistant easily competes with her apple counterpart

The screen size is large and very clear. A little too large for my back pocket. I enjoy it but will have to find a better way to carry it

There is no home button so that was an adjustment as was going back to android from iOS after a few years. But it was like riding a bike-I didn't forget

There's a cool shake function for the camera that switches from front to back as well as several other motion functions you can setup
I also prefer the android keyboards over the apple ones (numbers on all the time)
I have been having trouble finding a variety of cases for the phone so far (likely due to the recent release ). I expect more to be available soon
Overall a great phone. Nice large screen for games videos or anything. New OS is fast and works very well. Screen setup is easy to navigate and the google assistant unlock function is cool. You can unlock the phone with your saved voice saying 'OK Google'
You will be happy with this phone if you are ready for a switch or an android upgrade

I wanted to add to my review something I had left out. Google went with a new charging plug/port for the Pixel. The port in the bottom of the phone is not micro-USB like most anroids before. It is a new port (Google-USB-C))about the same size as micro-USB or apple's lightning. It is reversible like the lightning plug so you won't have to worry about plugging it in the wrong way like the old apple plugs or USB.
The phone came with one wall charging cord and one connecting cord for USB. The wall charging cord has the same new connector - USB-C on both ends and the wall plug accepts the new connector only. The 2nd cord has the USB-C connector and a USB end. The phone also came with a USB to USB-C dongle in case you only wanted to carry one cable but wanted to be able to charge via USB or USB-C

The speaker sounds good, and has a good volume range getting loud enough for outside noise.
It has a good range on Bluetooth 70 feet or more in an office around walls for controls and volume adjustment.
It is a good size, a little heavy but feels sturdy for outside/beach/park type use. It's approximately 3"x3"x9". There is a compartment on the bottom for storage/plugs, and the charger/additional plug are located on one end. The opposite end has the power/lock buttons.
Controls are as follows:
End-Power and lock out toggle (to lock controls from accidental touch)
Other end-USB plug/charger for device/phone, DC Power charger for speaker, .8mm headphone jack audio in for device/phone play
Top-Bluetooth sync, skip back, play/pause, volume up, volume down, skip forward, change input (from Bluetooth to either jack)
Bottom-inside 4.7"x2"x0.5" closable storage compartment 2nd USB charger, 2nd .8mm headphone jack audio in for play.
The speaker comes with the user manual and the DC plug for charging.

The first thing I noticed is the compartment is very small, not large enough for most phones to keep inside (4.7x2x0.5) and won't fit an iPhone 5s w/o case. Also if you use the plugs in the compartment you have to leave it open and either on it's side/upside down making access to the top controls difficult. It looks like this is to store a very small wallet/money clip or license/credit cards/cash and not a phone or ipod.
The USB plugs are out only and used to charge, not play the device. So if you want to plug in your phone to charge you will have to also use the .8mm jack or Bluetooth in order to play (jack would be a problem, Bluetooth is fine)
The 2nd USB plug inside the compartment did not work to charge my phone, I assume this is just a defect in the model I received. I was unable to test the .8mm jacks since I don't have one and one was not provided. I'll assume they work and the function toggle turned off the Bluetooth so that seems to confirm it.

OK Speaker Update

I offered above an amendment after issues I experienced after initial test.
Some items I was incorrect about in my review, others were not explained in the user manual (small paper copy included or full online version)
I was corrected in that the speaker only includes one speaker and not two (one on each side like I thought). The metal grill w/ LIFEPROOF on it is the speaker, the back side w/ nothing on it is just for show (no speaker).
I have also discovered an additional quirk that I thought was a defect. The full online manual explains that only one USB charger will work at a time. I initially thought the drybox USB did not work. In order to get the drybox USB to work you must toggle through to that audio source. So if you are playing through the drybox audio in cable you can charge using that USB. If you are playing through Bluetooth or the outside audio in cable you can charge using the outside USB. I had to find this by experiment. Because there is no readout (to keep the speaker waterproof I presume) there is difficulty telling which source your are on (other than when it's Bluetooth, the BT indicator is lit, and when it's one of the two cable audio in the BT is not lit.
As a result of this I also tested out both cable audio in jacks and they work fine. The drybox cable jack has little clearance so a thinner audio cable is recommended or just use the outside audio in.
As an additional note, the speaker is not waterproof when the Drybox is open (i.e. w/ cables sticking out) so you would probably not want to use it anyway unless you wanted to have two different device cables plugged in at once (which it can handle but only plays one at a time-source toggle)
The Bluetooth call/answer/hangup function works well on the speaker also. Simply press Play to answer & hold Play to hangup.
All in all a good speaker. (Better than I initially thought the first time testing it). The only changes I would like are to have two speakers (one each side) a larger Drybox (go up the the AQ11 when it's available) and a little better clearance on the audio in jack in Drybox for regular size cables.
I'd change this to a 3 Star instead if I could after the retest.

I believe you can run the printer just wired like normal.

Can you use the wireless mouse without programming it using the application? Because I’m interesting in online gaming but in the ps4 and I’m pretty sure you can’t download that application in a ps4. Is there a possibility I can use the mouse with a ps4?
It should work with just the standard Windows driver setup and not the Logitech program, but my laptop set it up automatically so I have not tested this.
