DVD drive go bad? Pick this up.

My internal DVD writer/reader that came with my PC from 2005 started to act up on me, so I disabled it and purchased this LG drive. I've only used this for a few hours so far, but it's worked like a charm. Windows automatically recognized the drive and no software was needed. <= Was worried about that as I had heard of other burners that installed malware -- not this one. It took me about 11 minutes to burn a full-sized data DVD (single layer). Burning process is quiet, as well. Lightweight device (may want to fasten it down somehow so you don't pull it off your table when ejecting your disc).
What's great about it: So incredibly simple to set up on a Windows XP computer, compact, stylish looking.
What's not so great: You'll likely need to use 2 USB ports for this, so make sure to allow room for that. Connector cord is approx 1.5 feet.
I would recommend this to a friend!
