I purchased one of these about 6 months ago and was not at all happy with it's performance. I actually pick up more stations, with higher signal strength, using an old dipole wire antenna. Terk makes some good TV antennas, but they need to go back to the drawing board on this one!

Best Deck For The Money!

I traded in a Kenwood satellite ready deck for this one because I couldn't stand the dim dispaly which couldn't be read in the daytime. The Alpine display is brightly lit, easy to read, and gives you 2 lines of information from Sirrius/XM (My old Kenwood didn't) It's also got great sound whether you're listening to the radio or a CD. My only complaint is it has so many features that are poorly explained in the owner's manual, but once you've got it properly set up, you can't beat it!
Kenwood In-Dash CD Deck: With built-in Bluetooth connectivity and USB and auxiliary inputs, this in-dash deck lets you play music from your MP3 player or smartphone with ease. Integrated EQ presets allow you to make precise audio adjustments.Geek Squad® installation is strongly recommended for this product. Please visit your local Best Buy store for details.
I purchased this deck as a replacement for a Alpine damaged in a wreck. The CD player works well, and the tuner picks up more stations than the Alpine did. My only complaint is the faint display which is next to impossible to read in the daylight. If it weren't for that, I'd give it 5 stars!
I was very excited when I heard about this release. Rhino Records has done an excellent job with other re-issues, but to say the packaging was cheap would be an understatement! I have never had any Digipak CDs with jackets this thin and flimsy. The outer box is no better. Sure, the sound quality is great and up to Rhino's usual level of excellece, but this is the worst packaging of a box set I've ever encountered! If you have old jewel case CD copies of these records, put the new CDs in the old cases!
