Foiled yet again by Best Buy error! I ordered this and received single-disc DVD, not a 2-disc BluRay as descriptions indicate. Now that I search for this on the site, I see there is another listing for it at a slightly higher price for a "DVD", yet the picture on that item is a Blu-Ray. Best Buy is notorious for erroneously listing video specs, and it looks like they switched the specs on these 2 items. Don't know why I'm surprised...again.... The content is probably good, but since I wanted a Blu, I haven't checked.
These are decent classic Sci-Fi movies, but they are regular DVDs. The Best Buy description says "Blu-ray disc". I clicked on a link from the weekly ad to this "Blu-ray Disc" set and ordered it for store pick-up. The sticker on the package has the same SKU #1584655 and states "BD-FLASH GORDON". There is even a blue stripe along the top of the front of the case to complete the farce. Before opening the package, as with all Blu-Ray, I checked the back of the case after I got home to see if the movies were listed as 1080p; there was no resolution listing (the Date Night/Mr. & Mrs. Smith two-pack of Blu-rays sold at Best Buy doesn't list resolution on the outside packaging either). I wondered about the standard DVD case, but since there were four discs inside I erroneously figured that they just changed the packaging for this product. I checked the product page on the web site again, sure enough it says "Blu-ray Disc". Maybe if I had put readers on I would have realized the Blu-ray logo was not to be found on the packaging. So my review of this four-movie "Blu-ray Disc" product on a scale of 1 to 5 is a 1, because it apparently does not exist. What a pain! I will put a request through for them to fix this, of course, web description and store label....
What's great about it: Good Classic Movies
What's not so great: Fix Description-These are REGULAR DVDs!
