Tons of room for lots of games

I picked this up for just around $50 thanks to a best buy sale and it was one of the best things I got for my vita. I've had a vita since it came out, and got a 8gb card initially and couldn't keep up with all of the free games playstation plus puts out each month for vita. This card finally solves that issue, and just makes it really convenient to have all of your games immediately accessible. Swapping out vita cards for games gets annoying, and this will make your life a lot easier.

What's great about it: Plenty of room for quite a few games
What's not so great: Too expensive at its list price

A fantastic deal for any Playstation owner

Playstation plus is basically a $50 service that gives you access to some great features like A) cloud saves for all of your games (meaning you can access your save files from a friends playstation just be logging in). B) Playstation Plus free games every month, that if you download you can have access to so long as you keep your playstation plus subscription active. The game selection is great, with games like Hitman, Uncharted 3, Gravity Rush, Battlefield 3, etc. C) Special sale prices just for playstation plus members, giving you huge discounts on dlc and other promotions that are run every month/few weeks. With the playstation 4, you need to use playstation plus to get access to online multiplayer. I know that's a bit of a bummer, but hey it means that Sony can pay for its servers and hopefully provide some great new services like Gaikai game-streaming in the future. Playstation plus is a fantastic value alone just for the game sales and the free games each month.

Not related to the games, but still a solid movie

First of all let me say if you're looking for a fast-paced action-type movie like Final Fantasy Advent Children - this isn't your kind of movie, Advent Children is. In fact this movie isn't at all related to any of the games from what I can tell. This is a much more slowly paced movie that frankly I had to watch again to really take in fully. It's an entertaining movie because of the subtle drama elements that they put in + the fantastic CGI work. The basic story you can probably gather from the synopsis or IMDB, and in my opinion is a bit unusual to understand at first. Overall it had some great set-pieces with some great action, and explores a lot of the undertones of the quintessential character types like the headstrong general and optimistic scientist tropes. It does add some depth to these characters to show some of the motivation behind their actions rather than relegating them to cliches. I got into the movie once the pace started picking up and plot turns started to get thrown in. All in all, a solid pick up if they're on sale and you enjoy some drama and want to see some really cool CGI action.
What's great about it: The CGI quality is superb, and has a great subtle sci-fi story
What's not so great: The characters expressions lack that spark sometimes, and the story moves along a bit slowly at times

The wind blows freely down the corridor of what was once a canyon of skyscrapers populated by million-dollar businesses, employees in suits and citizens on cell phones. A constant stream of yellow taxi cabs used to flow steadily down the asphalt streets. Now, Mother Nature has reclaimed what was hers, and vegetation engulfs the massive cities in patches. A modern plague outsmarted our civilized medicine, so now our cities now lie abandoned, and what's left of the American population is forced to do whatever it takes to survive. Neighbors who were friends, now kill each other for a loaf of bread — or a rifle — whatever they can get their hands on to help them live another day. In this decimated democracy, two individuals join up to work together in order and attempt the dangerous journey across the country. Will these two be able to survive the trek — or will they be The Last of Us?Developed by Naughty Dog, the creators of the popular Uncharted franchise, comes The Last of Us. Carefully blending elements of survival and action, The Last of Us defines a genre by placing you in the heart of the adventure to outlast a modern plague on your journey across the decimated United States. Playing as Joel, a survivor, and Ellie, a teenage girl who is much braver and wiser than her age would suggest, you must work together to fend off dangerous foes, terrifying enemies and other survivors who will do anything to save themselves. Every minute of every hour of every day is a struggle to outlive the next person you encounter — do you have the mental and physical strength to make it?

The Best Gaming Experience I've Ever Had

The Last of Us is truly a tour de force, and definitely the best gaming experience I've had to date. It feels like the culmination of years of work in the console life cycle, and the fit and finish really shine through in almost every moment in the game. Even within the first 15 minutes of playing the game I became more emotionally involved in the story than I have ever felt with any other game I've ever played (and I've played quite a few). This isn't going to be the generic war-shooter experience like Call of Duty or Battlefield, nor is it the overly dramatic sci-fi game like Mass Effect or Halo. The Last of Us strikes closer to home, and gives you a real and gritty look at what would happen if the world fell apart.
I don't want to say much about the story, since frankly that's one of the best parts that you get to experience for yourself. I will say that after playing this game the bar will be raised in terms of story, characters, and immersion for every-game thereafter. This is the kind of game that pushes the entire genre and field of games forward, and the rave reviews by almost everyone is testament to that. I'm going to remember Joel and Ellie for many years to come, I know that much already. I will say that this game's combat isn't exactly really easy to master - but that's the point. You're not some super-soldier gunning down hundreds of bad guys, you're just someone trying to make it in the world when everything is just in ruins. The fights all feel frantic and messy as you fight to survive. It's a tougher game than other ones, but that's part of what makes it so fun and realistic.
The graphics in this game are phenomenal, looking like they're being run on the PS4 rather than the PS3. The only knock I have against this game is that because there's a lot of times where you want to sneak past enemies and you have other characters following you, they sometimes just run around and look like they would blow your cover but they don't. The reason the enemies don't respond to your friends running around is so you don't get yourself into a fight because of characters you can't control. I get why they did it, but it's something that breaks the immersion of a tense scene. I highly recommend that anyone who's in the right age group (NOT a Family game or one for kids) with a ps3 buy this game. You won't be sorry. Take it from someone that's bought a lot of games over the years, the Last of Us is the swan song for the Ps3 and one of the finest gaming experiences you'll find anywhere.
My Best Buy number: 2726554935
What's great about it: The story, characters, and presentation are all nearly flawless
What's not so great: There are a few buggy things that break the immersion here and there

Best wireless headset for the price

If you want a headset that's dead simple to set up then you can't go wrong with the Sony Pulse Headset. All you have to do is plug in the USB receiver into your computer or ps3 and it just works. The sound quality is great for the price, and I love that you can adjust the bass-impact (which basically is like having a rumble-pack that really sends the bass into your head) to get that extra oomph. One other perk is that these will work not just with the ps3 and a tv, but with almost anything with a audio port. The receiver has a 3.5mm input jack, so you can connect your iPod, xbox, or even TV audio into that input slot on the wireless receiver and it'll work. You just need to make sure the receiver is plugged into something so that it's getting USB power. This makes this headset truly Universal. I just got tired of dealing with headsets from turtle-beach etc. that have those clunky extra base stations. This thing is just great to look at, comfortable, and dead simple to use. The only thing missing from the package is the USB charging cable, which is included for those who bought a ps3 to charge their controllers with. That means for those of you who want to use this and didn't buy a ps3 you'll need to get that charging cable, which should cost a few bucks tops to get. All in all if you want a fantastic wireless headset to use with anything - this is the pair to buy.
My Best Buy number: 2726554935
What's great about it: Just plug and play with ps3, pc, or mac
What's not so great: Charging cable not included
