Sounds great, hates scratches

I purchased this unit in lieu of a Marantz unit that was backordered. The sound Quality of this unit is superb, especially for the price.
My only issue with this is that I have a few cds that have minor scratches. no other cd player I've played them in has even let me know they were there. This unit, However, doesn't like 1 single, tiny scratch on a CD. It's not that it skips, it gets completely hung up on that spot of the CD.
Because of this, I am thinking about returning it and trying something else.
What's great about it: quality of Sound, ease of use
What's not so great: Hates even a single tiny scratch
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product not only did not work as advertized, it actually damages the disks you put in it. It is supposed to slowly rotate the disk which it only did once and never again. The two disks I tried on this came out in worse shape then they went in and were permanently damaged. Do not buy this product.

these swirly scratches it produces made mine completely unplayable. I picked up a JFJ Pro instead. 4 times the price, but the come out brand new looking!
