Months after undergoing electroconvulsive therapy, Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is living a relatively peaceful life with her father and sister as the second season of the conspiracy thriller begins. But her mental health is threatened when she accepts a mission to return to Beirut and gather intelligence from the wife of a Hezbollah leader, a woman who once was one of Carrie's most valued sources. Carrie can't resist the possibility of bringing down terrorist Abu Nazir (Navid Negahban) and perhaps being reinstated at the CIA.
