This mouse sucks. What more can I say?

I've been a mac user for a decade now. I have to be if I want to continue making money (video editor, graphic designer). I've been generally satisfied with every product I've bought from them (PowerMac, iPhone, iPod, etc.), but this mouse is terrible. It came with the PowerMac I purchased a couple years ago. It was fine at first, but eventually the ball would only scroll in one direction. I'm assuming it's because it was "gunked up" inside. Then the left and right mouse buttons would get mixed up because there's literally only one big piece of plastic for the button(s). I understand Apple wants their products to look very sleek and simplistic, but this mouse is garbage. But it's not only garbage, it's OVERPRICED garbage. Do yourself a favor, get a Logitech M100. It cost me a mere $11 and I have no complaints about it.
I wish there were an option to give this 0 stars...or negative stars.
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Everything

Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens: Get the whole picture with this ultra-wide zoom lens that allows you to fit more of the shot into the frame without backing away from your subject. This Canon EF-S lens is ideal for architectural photos, landscapes, panoramic views and wide shots in enclosed spaces. The lightweight and compact body is comfortably designed for handheld shooting.

Excellent wide shots, a little pricey

The only negatives I have about this lens is the price and some slight distortion. It's a little expensive, but I guess that's the price you pay for some amazing shots. The image quality is stunning. It's great for larger than life pictures (in the city surrounded by skyscrapers) and situations where the space is limited (a group shot in a small room of your house). Performs well in low light simply because there's hardly any motion blur from the wide angle. There is some slight distortion when you zoom all the way out to 10. Overall, great lens.
What's great about it: Quality build, quality pictures, WIDE lens
What's not so great: Slight distortion, expensive
I would recommend this to a friend!

Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light without needing a flash. It's excellent for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.

Amazing lens for the price

I can't say enough good things about this lens. The price is fairly inexpensive for the quality of the image you receive. The bokeh is amazing. I'm sure there are better portrait lenses on the market for Canon, but you can't beat the quality you get from this lens for a mere +/- $400. The large aperture creates an extremely shallow depth of field and allows for easy handheld night shots. My only complaint with this lens would be the focus itself. With the aperture wide open it can be very difficult to get the focus exactly where you want it.
What's great about it: Great value, great quality, large aperture
What's not so great: Difficult to focus at times
I would recommend this to a friend!

Canon EF-S 18–200mm f/3.5–5.6 IS Standard Zoom Lens: An ideal lens for everyday use, this versatile lens can capture a gorgeous sunset to a spectacular fireworks show. This zoom lens suppresses chromatic aberrations while retaining true colors. And with the image stabilization to help reduce motion blur, you get extremely sharp pictures.

Nice range, expensive

I bought this to replace the kit lens (18-55) that came with the Rebel camera I purchased. It was a toss-up between this and the 55-250 lens. I chose this only because I thought it would be better not to be switching lenses back and forth depending on the situation. The quality isn't fantastic. I'd say the lens qualtiy and construction is nearly the same as the 18-55. It's great for nature and wildlife images when you don't necessarily have the time to switch up your gear.
What's great about it: Nice standard lens with good zoom range
What's not so great: More expensive than the kit lens and a decent zoom lens combined
I would recommend this to a friend!

An Old Mouse Means No Mouse
By UncleTy from San Antonio TX
After using this mouse for a year, I have found some things that I do not like about it.
Although I do love the side buttons, after a while I find that I click them on accident. This happens often when I am dragging items across the screen.
Also, the ball on the top of the mouse gets stuck often. Like the ball at the bottom of the old fashion mouse, they tend to need cleaning, but sadly, for this mouse, you can not clean them. I would have to try and move the ball around and get it to work. This is an on and off again project. Since I do not want to fork out 50 bucks for a new mouse, I try my best to get it to work. Right now I can scroll down but not up.
Also, when scrolling I have it set up to my dashboard when pushing the button, but since it's not working properly the dashboard will now pop up almost every time I try to scroll. I had to take off this feature, thus limiting the many uses of my mouse.
I do like the sleek design and the way it eases into my hands, but with no ball I do not think it is worth it. I would like to have an option to make the side buttons a right click, but I do not think that is available. As a gamer this mouse is a no go, and with no scrolling options it makes searching the web a drag.
So, I have maneuvered my way to having this mouse a whole year and a half. Lucky, I would say yes.

Get a new mouse
June 4, 2011
Logitech M100 or M110. I bought one for $11. I threw my Apple mouse in the garbage after getting sick of all the ball and right/left button issues. In fact the only reason I had it in the first place was it came with my PowerMac.

Canon EOS Rebel T1i
June 8, 2011
I don't use anything fancy, just the T1i. I like to rely on Natural lighting as much as possible and I think the only touch up on these pictures were some adjustment to levels and saturation. I have the Wide Angle 10-22 and the Zoom 18-200 as well, but this delivers the best pictures by far.
