Bleak and Beautiful

In Alaska, when an oil drilling team's plane crashes in the frozen wilderness, the team's head of security must lead the team to survive the elements and a pack of wolves who see them as intruders.
The Grey shows that we are all instinctual at our core when faced with impossible odds. Logic, faith, religion, or sheer determination sometimes give way to more base animal behavior in times of desperation. Alphas emerge to lead. Betas fight to be the top dog. And survival usually goes to the fittest.

Perfect for the Superhero Movie Fan

A huge fan of the genre, Chronicle surprises and pleases. It may not have the glitz or glamour of the big tent pole superhero franchises coming out this Spring and Summer, but Chronicle brings the super-powered action/adventure back down to earth.

Tension filled, a strong story, and solid acting

SYNOPSIS: In 1966, three young Mossad agents pursue and look to capture a World War II war criminal hiding out "behind the wall" in Berlin. Thirty years later, it becomes obvious that the three hold a deep down secret.
REVIEW: In The Debt, Rachel Singer (Helen Mirren), David Peretz (Tom Wilkinson) and Unit Commander Stephan Gold (Tom Wilkinson) are retired Mossad agents who had come home heroes in 1966 after eliminating Dieter Vogel (Jesper Christensen), a war criminal accused of the surgical extermination and butchery of Jews. Once Sarah, the daughter of Rachel and Stephan, writes and publishes a book in 1997 about the events involving her parents and David, a tightly clenched web of lies threatens to unravel.
Effortlessly and cleverly sliding from 1966 East Berlin and the "present" of 1997, The Debt shows the actual events as they unfold. Rachel (Jessica Chastain), a young Mossad agent on her first field assignment meets up with driven, silent agent David (Sam Worthington) and ambitious youngest ever Mossad Unit Commander Stephan (Marton Csokas). Tension rises between the agents just as quickly as the stress of the assignment and the initial failure of the mission take their toil on the agents.

This Four is Definitely an Eight

D.J. Caruso, director of Shia LaBeouf's Eagle Eye and Disturbia, makes a cast change in favor of Alex Pettyfer for the this sci-fi action flick. Written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar from Smallville and Spider-man 2 credits, I Am Number Four is equal parts origin story, love story, sci-fi thriller and actioner.
Following the life of a young man, his life is turned upside during a beach party with friends when the emblem around his neck starts glowing in front of everyone. Henri, his protector and father figure, quickly erases all traces of their life and uproots them to Ohio. Now named John Smith, the young man is torn between staying off the grid to hide from the Mogadorians and blending in by going to school and socializing.
Alex Pettyfer as John or Number 4, is a flawless prettyboy who somehow manages to alienate himself and become a target by a group of bullies. Maybe it is because he is an alien. You feel for him because of his predictament and nomadic lifestyle, and root for him as he starts gaining his "legacy" powers. Timothy Olyphant as Henri brings all of his Justified and The Crazies charm to the role. Kevin Durand, from the 3:10 to Yuma reboot and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, plays the Mogadorian Commander who leads a team of his kind in the pursuit of eradicating the only beings that could stand in his way of destroying another planet. Durand is a chameleon of sorts in a lotof the roles he plays, but he always shows a a nonchalance and is at ease in the role. The cast is rounded out with love interest Sarah (Glee's Dianna Agron), loser alien hunter Sam (Callan McAuliffe), jilted ex-boyfriend Mark (Jake Abel) and experience teleporter Number 6 (Teresa Palmer).
