Just A Cheap Gamepad, And I'm Okay

So I bought a PC controller because I wanted to play Castle Crashers without the confusion of what buttons is what. The game recommended a controller mainly because the buttons it tells you are on controllers, not keyboards. So I bought this cheap controller and it might not be XBox but it gets the job done. Sadly if you're like me and have few games that work best with a controller, you might ask yourself how to get $25 worth out of it? Your answer may have to be playing with Emulators, sorry first party companies. But if you have plenty of games that best work best on controller then I say to check this out. The only complaint I have which isn't completely to the controller itself, but rather to another game on why I bought it in the first place. If you're like me and expecting this game to work on games on Steam that were originally on PS2, you may be disappointed, the gamepad does not suit well with them. I've tried it with GTA San Andreas for PC, and it just makes you question on why it feels more difficult than it should be. Other than that, it's a decent gamepad, and it may not work for older PS2 port Steam games, it does work well with all other games.
What's great about it: Easy playing certain game that's used to controller, shove in USB port and ready to play
What's not so great: Some games that were designed for early PS2 titles that got a Steam Port may not work as expected.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Injustice, Obey Superman or Die.

If someone were to told me before this game was announced that the makers of Mortal Kombat were going to make a DC Comics only fighter using some of the mechanics used in the latest Mortal Kombat game, I would of questioned on why they would even attempt it after their last work with the DC Universe. But after seeing the approach of Injustice from trailers, I thought, "This game might be decent." Well I got the game and what do I think of it? I think it's rather good actually, probably a redemption after Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. But seriously this game isn't like your ordinary Super Hero game, no saving damsels in distress, Darkseid isn't plotting on conquering Earth, the Joker is still Joker, but the big bad is someone you would never expect.
Story:
I have to be careful on discussing about the story, even what could be considered minor can easily become major in this game, so I'll keep this to a minimum as possible. The story is actually a familiar approach that is known in the DC Universe, meaning the whole Injustice story takes place in two alternate dimensions while both dimensions could of suffered the same fate. Luckily, and unfortunately only one of the dimensions suffered the worst fate which ended up corrupting Superman in a big way. In the other Dimension which has all the heroes we technically know and love, the event that would of happened was altered which has sent heroes Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Green Arrow along with the Villain Joker to the alternate dimension, in which everything has gone into a dictatorship. As much as I want to say more, up to here, it's all nothing but spoilers that is best not said if you haven't played the game yet.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is unique, but simple at the same time. The unique part comes from how the game is played, meaning how some objects in the room are able to be used as a weapon, or just to get out of the way. And each character may use that object in a different fashion (EX: Batman may plant a bomb on a car while Superman can pick up and throw the car). The simple comes to the controller use, playing the game is not complicated, in fact the true things to figure out are combos, but super moves can be done by just pressing two buttons. I don't know how the latest Mortal Kombat worked, but if it worked like how Injustice does, I kind of like it. The only thing I believe needs some work however would be the online. The match up takes some time to find one person, and I can't seem to find a way to play with friends only other than local.
Verdict:
For a fighting game on it's own, it works. For a Super Hero fighting game, this is probably the best it'll get for now. This is probably a fighting game I can easily recommend trying this out. It's not Mortal Kombat, it's not Street Fighter, it's Injustice and it works.
What's great about it: Storyline, Roster, Controls, Gameplay
What's not so great: Online could use a little work, Only one super move for each character

You can see the checkered flag in the distance. You hear an engine rev behind you, but you can't look back. Your eyes are pinned on the victory ahead of you. Suddenly, the road falls out from underneath your tires and becomes miles of endless water — this truly is racing transformed. Speed down winding highways as Sonic or one of his many All-Star friends, leaving nothing but dust in your wake as you clobber your opponents. The crowd is calling your name. Do you have what it takes to become an All-Star?Overtake your opponents as Danica Patrick, Wreck It Ralph or any of the 20 classic Sega characters and racing heroes in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Defeat the competition through 16 different courses, each more challenging than the last. Weave through air, land or water in a vehicle that changes from car to boat and to plane as you race — and you must master all three to win. Aim one of your many weapons at your opponents to ensure a solid lead, but watch out — dangerous hazards await you at every turn. Compete with style and use daring moves to increase your All-Star meter and unlock new moves. Play online to prove you can take on new modes, such as the Grand Prix, Battle Arenas and even the World Tour. Test your ability to operate all three vehicles with new time trials and dart past your opponents on the new Outrun Bay Track. You can hear the crowd cheering, but will you be the first to cross the finish line?

Sonic Kong Racing, Wait That Don't Sound Right.

Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed isn't the Sonic game Sega fans would really want, but when it comes to average cart racers Mario reigns supreme but Sonic comes at a close second if not third from Diddy Kong Racing back from the Nintendo 64 days. But for a cart racer on it's own, Sonic All-Stars holds up, it's a fun racer and if you're a big Sega fan, you'll probably be more awed by the race tracks and music in the game. And boy are the song selections great, of coarse when has Sega failed us on music?
The gameplay is good, though if I were to ask Sega when they make the next game to allow button customization instead of the old "Alpha" or "Beta" selections of controls. When you play racers by holding on to the "A" button for years, you don't think to press the trigger (ZR) button to go at first. But eventually you do learn the controls and eventually you don't care for that anymore, but you will have to remember when you play Mario Kart to not hold the trigger. When you reach the blue rings which transforms your vehicle, you'd think there be much change, but actually the controls of the boats and planes are quite simple as the cars. Really if you got good control with the car, the boat and plane are second minded, congratulations, you can drive a car now and we give you a boat and pilot license.
Game modes is nothing different. You got the Career mode which gives you single player races and missions known as the World Tour. Do the World Tour and eventually you'll unlock new characters and the harder the mission you set it, the more stars you earn. Sometimes the harder difficulty settings are fine, but then there's "those" missions that just make you just not want to put up the trouble. Note to everyone, the blue cars on traffic attack will be your worse enemy. But not all missions, some are fun like the normal races and the boost races. Moving on to Multiplayer, this is where you can play online with 11 other people with 3 game modes. Race, Battle, and a Mission race which I never really played. You'll probably just be racing mostly, which is always fun to take on others around the world.
Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed has much to give, especially with guest characters "Wreck-It Ralph" and Nascar driver "Danica Patrick." And sadly as much as I want to say "Pyro, Heavy, and Spy from Team Fortress 2," I cannot include them in this review for one reason, they're PC exclusive and this game is for the Wii U. But in the end it's still Sonic Racing, just with cars, boats, and planes, kind of like Diddy Kong Racing.
What's great about it: 5 Player Local play, Play on Gamepad, Play online with 12 players.
What's not so great: Can't choose Mii online, no clone characters online, can't change background music, Player 1 forced to use Gamepad.

Black Ops 2 Back In Time, or Future, Something...
on January 4, 2013

For awhile, when ever I played Call of Duty, it was always on the Wii. And I'll admit, even when Modern Warfare 3 came for the Wii, every new game to the system had an upgrade that was expected in the previous game. Don't believe me? World at War on Wii, fun game till people just started abusing glitches like The Conduit. Modern Warfare: Reflex, graphically an improvement and more Online game modes than World at War. Black Ops included a Mic, Co-op Zombies, and use of the Classic Controller for those who weren't into the whole motion control style. And let's not leave out Modern Warfare 3, it was pretty much what Black Ops on Wii should of been like, especially making a gamertag, that one had my most attention. And now with the Wii U out and everyone just ditching the Wii, Black Ops 2 feels like the perfect Call of Duty that Nintendo console owners have been waiting for. Hense the "feels like," as much as I would like to call it perfect, it is not. I'll explain later why.
The campaign starts off a few decades away from the first Black Ops, where David Mason, son of Alex Mason, meets up with old man Frank Woods. You start playing as Alex Mason, getting that original Black Ops sense at first, even if you had it for Wii like I did. While playing, you'll get into the 2025 war, while some missions go back to the 70's. Speaking of missions, there's side missions in the Campaign. These side missions will put you on maps you would normally play in Multiplayer. And if you do them, you'll actually impact the story by making China your friend or foe. Of coarse with these being side missions you don't play as any of the main characters, it'll feel like a Multiplayer based objective than a story mission. Finally another noticeable change in the game compared to previous games, while playing the actual campaign missions, some of those missions will give you a choice altering the story. And like the side missions, what you do will impact the story you are doing, so choose wisely on what you're going to do.
When it comes to shooters, there has to be Online Multiplayer. On a personal standpoint, sometimes I feel like they should of stick to the old way. But in the end it's still enjoyable. One thing I like is they brought back Boot Camp which from my knowledge was introduce on World at War. Nutshell about it, if you're really new to the game, start there to learn the basics of Online. Most of the game modes that's been introduced in the past are also back, even the wager modes. Sadly they're not wager games no more, rather it's renamed to "Party Games." If you ask why, the Cod Points introduced in Black Ops aren't used, that got replaced by "Unlock Tokens." And to end subject for the Multiplayer, guess what finally get's introduced to a Nintendo Platform finally to people who only played CoD on Wii? Killcams, no missing Streak Weapons, Emblem Maker, Downloadable Content, basically whatever you complained what was missing on the Wii versions is included on Black Ops 2 for Wii U.
Let's move on to Zombies. Zombies wasn't that big on the Wii when it was introduce, mainly because it had only one map, Kino Der Toten. I'll tell ya, I wouldn't mind for a future DLC to bring back that map. But with Kino being the only map on Wii, well it got boring because you know the map by heart. Even if you played the one of the HD versions like 360 after so many times of playing it on the Wii, the only thing you'll need to figure out is the controls on the controller, everything else you'll know what to do on Kino Der Toten. But sadly, Kino isn't on Black Ops 2, but it does have 3 maps, each with 2 out of 3 game modes. One is the classic Survival mode, stay in one area, take out Zombies, rank points, find box for better weapons, ect. Grief seems a bit more competition than cooperative. Then there's TransIt, nutshell for this mode, Survival with a bus and building materials. The deal is you start at a bus station, and it treats like a normal game of Zombies, survival for many rounds of Zombies. But unlike others, you can get on a bus which can take you to the 3 maps and other places that's only given in TranzIt mode. Another thing, keep an eye out for parts lying around, they're not easy to point out, in fact they're kind of like those film reels from Kino. But these parts you can construct something useful in the game, like a generator to open doors or activate Perk-A-Cola machines. It's a nice twist for the game and one I really enjoy playing. Oh and remember Richtofen, that crazy German from previous games? He's now in control of the Zombies, and you'll hear his voice when you grab power ups.
The game is enjoyable, and you have many options in playing the game. You can use any controller introduce on Wii Titles (Wii Remote + Nun-Chuck and Classic Controller) or you can use the new equipment (Game Pad and Controller Pro) to play this game. The one thing I wished that was usable in Black Ops 2 was the PDP Headbanger. It could of worked out, the Wii U has 4 USB ports, the game supports voice chat, but it doesn't support the Headbanger and I find that the most disappointment in the game. As of now the only way to voice chat is to buy a pair of headphones that includes a mic. Which might be what I'll be buying next because this game is best to play while communicating with other players, especially in Zombies.
Other than that one flaw, this game is fun to play, for a CoD game. You might be playing more online than offline, but either way, this is one game I'm keeping.
What's great about it: Graphic, Story, Online, Zombies, Controller Options
What's not so great: PDP Headbanger not usable
I would recommend this to a friend!

The advances of video games over the past two decades are impressive, to say the least. Crystal-clear graphics, immersive storylines, the introduction of online co-op gameplay — the differences are endless. But if you can remember sitting on the floor (close enough to hold the wired controller) around the TV with your buddies to play classic Nintendo games like Super Mario Brothers, Donkey Kong and the Legend of Zelda, then you'll always have a special place in your heart for the old-school games that came before all of these advances. They were, after all, the dawn of an era that has shaped the world today. Experience those moments of nostalgia in a new light with the impressive advances of today's video game technology through Nintendo Land. The fun and thrilling theme park of Nintendo Land is filled with 12 lively attractions modeled after beloved classics using unique and innovative gameplay made possible by the touch screen and intuitive capabilities of the versatile and ingenious Wii U GamePad. Steer Donkey Kong through a chaotic and precarious obstacle course with its motion control sensor. Take on armies of attacking ninjas in Takamura's Ninja Castle with a swipe of your finger across the touch screen. With the dynamic multiplayer mode allowing up to five players to participate, you and your friends will be able to play the same game while enjoying a completely different experience depending on whether you're controlling the GamePad. Chase your friends with an invisible ghost in Luigi's Ghost Mansion or battle ground-based players from an aerial gunship in Metroid Blast, all by utilizing the GamePad's innovative touch screen.

I'M GOING TO NINTENDO LAND!!!

Like most launch games Nintendo has made for every new generation of consoles, from the SNES all the way up to the Wii U, they always release a game to show the potential of what that system can do. Like Pilot Wings for SNES, N64, and 3DS to the Wii's, Wii Sports, Nintendo Land job is the exact same as all those games. And like those games, they hold up the promise. Nintendo Land shows options of mini-games, and while you're playing these games, you're experiencing what to expect out of the system for future games.
Despite being a game for showing the potential of the system, it's still a game, and the game is fun. It has many options of mini-games to play that are all Nintendo related. But be warned, not all games you can play alone. Some of the mini-games require 2 or more players just to play. This can be a little disappointing and is the main reason why I don't give this game a 5 star rating, all because some require 2 players. But don't get me wrong, it's not going anywhere below 4 stars.
This game doesn't have much else to talk about, it's not entirely a big game, but it is a game to play at least once. Some Mini-Games may be more addicting to play than others, and some may not carry much attention at all. But one thing is certain, this game shows enough on what the Wii U can do, and too me that's enough to keep my Wii U and keep this game.
What's great about it: Addictive, Fun, Controls, Simple
What's not so great: Some games require 2 players

You sit by your boarded-up window and listen for any sign of movement outside. When you're pretty sure it's clear, you open your door slightly and slowly slip outside and into the deserted street, armed to the teeth. The streets are littered — trash and the remains of your neighbors saturate the streets. As you make your way down the sidewalk, you hear a noise behind you and whip around to check it out. It's the old lady who lived upstairs, but she looks...different. She's heading your way with a bloodthirsty look in her eyes. This is no time to be squeamish — she'll be just the first of many standing in your way. Will you make it out of London? More importantly, will you stay human? It's 2012 and London is falling. In ZombiU, the Last Blight is upon us and humanity has been ravaged by a sickness worse than death. Designed to take advantage of the Wii U and its unique controller, the game tests your will to survive. Use the Wii U controller as your Bug-Out Bag and keep it stocked with supplies, including food, weapons, ammo, first aid and more, and defend your home against the infected horde outside your door. Feel your adrenaline rush as you try to keep your eyes on the television and the controller screen at the same time. Try to stay alive, but if you do succumb, watch out for your online friends who will hunt you down to loot your supplies. Wake up as another survivor and try to escape your old character who has now become infected. Challenge your friends to Survivors vs. Zombies mode and use the Wii U controller to play as Zombie Master, or use the classic controller and play as a survivor. Try to stay alive — and more importantly try to stay human — in this fear-fueled game of survival.

ZombiU: One Bite and You're Dead
on December 29, 2012
Posted by: Spi3000
from Missouri, KC
ZombiU was probably the most talked about at E3 last year, also I remember it was discussed on a Late Show, I forget which Late Show however but the point is this game was brought up a lot before the release of the Wii U. The idea of the game is you're in London and the world is under a Zombie Plague, you play as random survivors trying not to die or be bit by Zombies because if you are bit your done with that character and he/she is now a Zombie. What makes it interesting about being turned into a Zombie is when you start playing as a new character you have to go find your Zombie self in order to get your stuff back. Once you get your stuff back, you get back doing missions in the game and trying not to die.
The story isn't worth the buy of this game, only the game play. But here's the idea of what's going on other than world being overrun by Zombies. You're founded roaming on the streets by a man locked in a safe room who goes by "The Prepper" mainly because he's always prepared, so he claims. He finds you and he asks for your help, in return he offers to help you survive. There's two other important characters, a scientist in the Queen's Palace who searches for a cure for the Zombie plague, and a woman who seeks evacuation. Prepper doesn't like either of them due to the fact he strictly believes that there is no cure or evacuation, only survival. That is the ideal plot in the story.
While playing the game with the online feature on, you will notice that some Zombies in game will have backpacks and a name on top. These Zombies are actual players that died in their game that you've received by via SpotPass, a function included on the Wii U and is included in this game. So you won't just be on the lookout for yourself, you should also keep an eye for other backpack carrying Zombies, sometimes they'll have stuff you haven't reached yet. Sadly you won't find guns from other player zombies, but you can find explosives.
ZombiU is a nice game, but I wouldn't say it's a complete buy. I highly recommend if you're interested to try the game first then see what you think. Other than that, ZombiU is a decent game.
What's great about it: Horrifying, Fun, Online feature
What's not so great: Short Story
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Cold War — a time in world history where everyone was torn between East and West. In the aftermath of the Cuban Missile Crisis, a deal was revealed that put an end to the situation. The U.S. government agreed to return Soviet scientist Nokolai Stepanovich Sokolov, who had defected to the West, back to the Soviet Union. They didn't realize that Sokolov was to be the designer of a terrifying new weapon that could spell certain doom and a new age of fear. Nearly two years later, the CIA forms a plan to re-capture Sokolov and deploys the covert FOX unit to the secret research facility, located south of the great Soviet fortress of Groznyj Grad. FOX is a next-generation special forces unit that operates as a specialized combat group and covert intelligence unit. The M.O. of FOX is to dispatch a single soldier who is backed by radio support from afar. With the hopes of the CIA resting on his shoulders, a lone soldier drops into enemy territory — his code name is Naked Snake.Swoop into enemy territory as Naked Snake in this re-imagining of one of the most popular Metal Gear Solid titles from the franchise. From the critically acclaimed director, Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D delivers an all-new telling of the classic PlayStation 2 story in immersive 3D for the first time ever. The power of your Nintendo 3DS creates a rich jungle environment with natural depth in the settings of trees, rocks, water and more. Access your item and weapon inventory easily and quickly with the innovative touch-screen controls. Use the built-in camera technology Photo Camo system to camouflage Snake in a pattern based on an image you capture in the real world. Snake is Back, and in 3D.

At E3 2010, the 3DS was first shown to the public for the first time in America. And at E3, many titles were announce stating that they were coming to the 3DS, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D was one of those titles. For nearly over 2 years this game has been in production and finally got released and must I say "HOLY MOTHER OF 'THE F-WORD'!" This game is amazing, even it was already amazing when it was released on the PS2, 3DS version just blew my mind.
First off I must say the 3D effects are REALLY good, it's hard to describe how good, best way for you to get an idea is to try the Demo that's available on the eShop. It's obvious that this game took a lot of time and heart put into it, even though in a way it's a bit of a port, it's also different to the original.
The story is the same as the original, not really a problem. However I've never really owned the original, I only played it at friends houses because of a strict mother. All in all I now have the game, and I really do enjoy it.
Now for the serious part which is a message to parents. DO NOT LET YOUNG CHILDREN PLAY THIS GAME!!! I must be strict on this, especially since kids these days are spoiled with M rated titles. The reason I'm saying this is because it's not the blood because you can turn that off, but there are points in the game where you press the "R" button you can see through Snake's eyes, long story short there are times when he stares at women's breasts and butts. Sorry kids, this isn't a game you should be playing.
If you're looking for a game that includes stealth, action, humor, movie references, survival, yoshi's, and just a classic, I highly recommend Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.
What's great about it: It's Metal Gear, Has action, Humor is decent, Has Movie References.
What's not so great: Controls take time getting used to.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Star Fox 64? 3D? On the go? BRILLIANT!!!

Star Fox 64 was my favorite Nintendo 64 title as a kid. I used to rent this game all the time before when the Internet was big and the only way to rent games was going to the closest Blockbuster. The graphics is upgraded, and it's pretty impressive. The game is pretty much the exact same as the original, but unlike the original where you had to start at Corneria every time you start the game you can stop at one point in the game and continue on sometime later. You can also level select, so if you ever feel like playing a certain level, you can just level select it instead of the ol' Corneria, next map, I'm at map Solosis I wanted Aquas. The controls, they're playable but I have a minor complaint on it. In my mind I still have the old N64 controls where "A" is to fire lasers and "B" was to fire the bombs, in default on the 3DS "A" is the same but to fire bombs you got to press "Y" not "B", it's a little disappointing that Nintendo changed the button fashion and if you're like me and have the original controls in mind, you'll take time in getting the controls down, but you'll get the hang of it. In terms of Minor complaints, I also have Major complaints. For starters the voice acting, usually I have no problems in terms of voice acting, even Anime I have no issues with most English Dubs, however the voice acting sets me off on this game, specifically Andross. Andross is supposed to be the main bad guy in the game, and the most memorable thing about Andross was his evil laugh in the original Star Fox 64, it was dark, evil, and played the seen right, in the 3DS version, it's short, just a "Ha ha ha" that's it, seriously who ever voiced Andross needs to get slapped in the face just for butchering one of the best laughs in the game. Another Major complaint is the game has only Local Multiplayer, in my opinion I believed this game could of support Online, Star Fox Command on the DS supported Online Multiplayer, I see no reason how Star Fox 64 3D couldn't. Those are the only two majors I have but the rest is just perfect, the remastered soundtrack is decent, the actions is perfect like it always been, this game is very casual, but not a highly recommended game, I'll only recommend getting this game if you don't have very many games on your 3DS or never played Star Fox 64 before.
What's great about it: Everything positive said to the original, level select, soundtrack
What's not so great: Voice acting, controls, only local multiplayer

Super Mario 3D Land Get's in Game

Super Mario 3D Land feels like it should of been a launch title, in a good way. Especially since the 3DS had a slow start, this game is perfect for the 3DS and a highly recommended game. I won't lie, the controls feel like New Super Mario Bros. for the DS while the looks in graphics look like it was completely based from that of Super Mario Galaxy. Before I even got this game, I was worried about the timer since most Mario games like Mario 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy don't have timers unless it was on a certain mission. The timer is actually not a big problem, and some levels actually include slowly rotating stop watches, get a blue watch and add 10 more seconds to the timer, get a green watch and you add 100 more seconds to the timer. I have only minor complaints about this game, one is the gyro controls when you get inside of a cannon or look through the binoculars, you can use the circle pad to aim but you're unable to turn off the gyro controls so it can get in the way commonly. Another minor complaint, the game feels like the game is all for the Tanooki power-up, you commonly come across it a lot, it's not a bad thing but you may get tired of dressing up as a raccoon dog, or maybe not depends who you are. After you beat the game you enter into new levels, the "Special Worlds" that Nintendo usually includes in most Mario Platformers much like Super Mario World, or a more recent title "New Super Mario Bros. Wii," only this time it's not one world it's 8 Special Worlds counter-parting from the original 8 worlds you play through. That's pretty much the game, I recommend this game, if you're still not sure then at least try the game either at a friends house or if a retail store is allowing demos of this game.
What's great about it: Decent, Fun, Extensive, 3D, Blend of New SMB and Galaxy
What's not so great: Nothing in my opinion

It's time to prepare your strategy and get your kart ready to race across the dusty desert course. The competition with be tough, but you've equipped your kart with giant tires so you can expertly careen through the off-road track. Racing takes strategy, customization and of course, skill and you have everything it takes to win the race and become a champion of Mushroom Kingdom. The race is on and the excitement of Mario Kart is back and now in stunning 3D on your Nintendo 3DS with Mario Kart 7. Reach new heights as your kart soars over track shortcuts with a special wing and plunges into the sea with a propeller. Customize your vehicle with accessories to suit the track, whether it be big tires for off-road tracks or small tires for city courses. Race as your Mii or one of your favorite Mushroom Kingdom characters, and take on exciting courses over a mountain road, through city streets, across a dusty desert, around new courses on Wuhu Island and in the jungles from Donkey Kong Country Returns. Compete with up to eight racers for fierce competition with your friends or other players around the world. The race is on.

Mario Kart 7 Drives in Style

Mario Kart 7 is probably the best racing game so far for the 3DS. With the ability to play as new characters, play as your Mii, play 16 remade maps that appeared from the SNES - the Wii Mario Kart titles, ability to customize your kart, and my favorite online multiplayer. Graphics are decent, especially for a title that's on a handheld. Grand Prix is pretty much like Mario Kart Wii, beat all races in 50, 100, and 150cc and unlock the mirror mode. The new maps that's in the game are great to, 3 of them are sectioned races which I find fun because in laps it feels short sometimes, but the maps that uses sections is different, like one big race track. The only minor issues to the game is there are no bikes and the character roster is lacking compared to Mario Kart Wii, but not by much. To unlock car parts you got to collect coins, every time you collect a certain amount of coins you unlock a random vehicle part, could be the main frame, wheels, or even a new glider. Also by collecting coins in races you can go a little bit faster, maximum amount of coins is 10. This is a very good game for the 3DS system, I love this game, sometimes I can't let down my 3DS system even when the red light is blinking, so I shove in my charger cord. I highly recommend Mario Kart 7, I'll even recommend it as a starter game.
What's great about it: Online Multiplayer, Local Multiplayer, Kart Customization, new items, highly recommended
What's not so great: No bikes, Maka Wuhu Glitch Shortcut
I would recommend this to a friend!

There's a difference between Reviews and Previews
September 27, 2011
I don't know why people do this, speaking for a game that's not even out and saying it's gonna be great when in possibility the game may turn out to be a possible let down. So far there has yet to be a Mario title that's bad, but some Mario titles didn't truly appeal to gamers, like Super Mario Sunshine. I'm not saying that Mario Kart 7 is going to be bad, but there is a possibility that the game may just not fulfill what you originally expected.
