Great clip

I work witha variety of mics with varying diameters, so the clothespin clip is my favorite because it will fit them all. As a working journalist the ability to quickly and discretely attach and remove my mic is crucial and the simple squeeze makes this easy to mount and dismount.
That being said, this is cheap plastic and a couple of metal springs and won't stand up to drops or frequent use, which is why I usually try to carry an extra one.

What's great about it: Easy tclips, holds most mics
What's not so great: Price, durability

Good alternative for reporters and podcasters
on May 23, 2013

Tripod makes for a great, easy to use alternative to C clamps fo reporters and podcasters alike. The 5/8" threading allows you to attach most mic accessories, which can come in handy if, like me your mic isn't the right size for the included clip or you prefer a clothespin clip.
The stand is pretty solid and well balanced; my 6" gooseneck had only a minor adverse impact on stability, although I wouldn't go any longer or trust it with a heavy mic, it held up my RE50/N quite nicely.
All in all a well-built product that gets the job done at a reasonable price.
My Best Buy number: 2692134094
What's great about it: Easy set-up, good price, universal compatability
What's not so great: Stability could be better, clip doesn't fit all mics
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fast, durable and portable

Compatible with...:Mac
If you are a photographer, video editor or graphic designer and really need a portable Thunderbolt drive this is by far one of the best I've seen.
If however, like most people, you're the average user who wants a high speed bus-powered Time Machine drive, this is not what you're looking for.
For less than half the price you can get a USB 3.0 drive, which will allow you to do everything this will and do so with no noticeable speed differences. In fact for less money you could buy a Lacie USB 3.0 drive with FOUR TIMES the storage capacity.
USB 3.0 (built into all 2012 and newer Macs) provides great transfer speeds and better compatibility with older Macs and Windows machines and the average user won't notice the speed difference, especially since TimeMachine maxes out before you ever get close to Thunderbolt speeds.
If you're the average Mac user I recommend that you get a Seagate drive, because you can always add a Thunderbolt adapter later on.
That being said, if, like me, you're a business user and you need to carry a high speed drive with you and do a lot of dragging and dropping or file exporting, I can't say enough how great this drive is. Using the included Thunderbolt cable I am able to transfer 50 gb worth of HD video in under two minutes, a feat that I previously thought could only be done over ethernet.
Not only is the Thunderbolt speed amazing, but the drive is surprisingly portable, while still extremely durable. Also both Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 cables are included, saving you from having to spend $50 on the former cable.
Additionally the included Lacie software makes it easy for anyone (even the technologically impaired) to partition the drive (if so desired) allowing for a diverse array of uses and allowing your drive to interface with different operating systems.
BOTTOM LINE: If you're a professional who work with a lot of multimedia files in the field and need either a back-up or external hard drive, this is the perfect drive for you. If however you are a consumer looking to back-up documents and pictures, this probably isn't the right drive for you.
My Best Buy number: 2692134094
What's great about it: Durability, portability, speed and included Thunderbolt cable
What's not so great: Price, Not optimal for TimeMachine

I have to admit that I was quite skeptical about a $10 part allowing me to use my old chargers with my new MacBook Pro Retina Display, but after buying one of them I found myself very impressed, so much so that I quickly placed an order for a second one.
The adapter is magnetic on both sides and quickly attached to my old MagSafe and then to my computer with ease. I have been pleasantly surprised at how well the adapter stays in place (my primary pre-purchase concern).
I have three chargers (two original MagSafes with the adapters, and one MagSafe 2) and can honestly say that I have seen no difference in quality or charging speed.
In short I have two extra chargers that would have cost me $175 for only $20, a truly great deal!

Love this screen protector for my iPhone!
By moniquegenieve2 from Ontario, CA
I wanted a matte screen protector because the glossy ones always look dirty to me. Also, I wear powder and foundation and it tends to stick to the glossy ones more. I get that when clean, the glossy protectors look better, but this one just works better for me. I also love that I can see it better in the sunlight.
ONE MAJOR PROBLEM: It covers the proximity sensor in the iPhone. It won't affect the black iPhone, but it will affect the white iPhone. Basically this sensor will turn the screen black when you hold it to your ear so that your face won't hang up on or mute your call. The protector made it so that the sensor didn't work and would hang up on anyone I was calling. It would also start calling people via Facetime. Best Buy was going to replace my phone because they thought that the proximity sensor was defective, but one of the associates pulled the protector off and the phone works perfectly without the protector.
So, to use the white iPhone with this screen protector, you will have to cut the part of the protector that covers the proximity sensor off. Then it will work fine. I wish the people at the Best Buy who sold me the phone knew about this because it would have saved me a lot of frustration and a second trip to Best Buy.

Don't Count It Out Yet
By iliketag from Colorado
I purchased a couple of these cards back in late January when I purchased my 5D Mk II. I have not had an issue with those two and have shot two weddings and several portrait sessions with them. However, I purchased two more as "just in case" cards in early April and one corrupted after about 5 shots. The other was, and has been, perfectly fine.
I believe PNY just had a bad batch, as with any product that is mass produced, that risk is always there. Unfortunately those were distributed to several stores (not just Best Buys) and has tarnished the reputation of these cards somewhat. I do not think these are bad cards! I waited for my store to get some more in stock and when they did not, I returned it. It happens. I will also note that they were not available on the website for a while after I purchased mine, which is an indicator that PNY knew of the problem and was not shipping cards. Most stores now do not even have a spot for them, and while they are available online, I will have to order them while they're on sale and try my luck. I always have 15 days to return if it's the worst case scenario.
These cards are an excellent price for how much space they provide and performance wise I have not seen a huge leap from the Sandisk cards that are considerably more expensive. Yes, they are not as fast, but the write speed has been proficient for my needs. Overall I am satisfied and would recommend these cards. Just save your receipt and test them out so you know yours is not a bad card within the return policy.

Pro quality images in a consumer quality package
By FBGraham from Austin, Texas
In the world of Nikon wide angle lenses, this and the venerated 12-24 are the top contenders. I decided on this one mainly because I use filters for landscape photography. Very pleased with the performance. VR is an added bonus that I don't use much. What I don't like about it is the plastic feel compared to the more solid 12-24. On the other hand it makes the lens lighter. Not a big deal and the only imperfection I can think of. Its a great value lens for the money. I use this with a D600.

The comparable metal lens would actually be the 17-35 f2.8, which, like the 16-35 f4 accepts filters.
The 12-24 f2.8 is a specialty lens designed for use in studios.

poor customer support from JVL/voice sync problem
By herman
I just both them today 11/24, took them home was amazed how good they sounded on music, paired them to my samsung 4k 55" tv and started to watch a movie, the voice dealay was way off, tried watching a movie on my samsung note5 same problem with voice time delay, tried my cheaper LG plus 3 others headsets i have, the sound was perfect,so Icalled JVL customer support, where they told me that's is normal that if i wanted it to not have the time delay to plug a cable to the headphones, well you know what i wanted to say, ill be back to exchange them for a BOSE or SONY Bluetooth headphones, i do hope that this was an isolated case

Fact check
April 11, 2016
The case is NOT drop tested by the military, which does not engage in commercial drop tests.
The military sets standards, which those seeking to śell to them must meet or exceed. Logitech drop tested it and is self certifying that it exceeds those standards -- to be clear the military had no role whatsoever in that testing.

USB 3.0
April 30, 2016
You could buy a $1M studio deck and it still wouldn't work at USB 3.0 speeds UNLESS not only the motherboard, but the actual port the reader was plugged into was USB 3.0 (some computers have motherboards that support USB 3.0, but only some of the ports are 3.0). I'm confused as to why you expected 3.0 speeds if your computer only supported USB 2.
That is why this, like virtually every USB 3.0 device is backwards compatible to USB 2.0, allowing them to work (albeit at the slower speed) when USB 3.0 is not supported.

Best APS-C DSLR On the Market!
By DusterBuster
The Nikon D500 is a camera that professionals and enthusiasts have waited 7 years for. It replaces the D300s and is at the top of the APS-C market. The closest comparable competitor is the Canon 7D-MKII, and even it can't touch the build quality and performance of the D500. Now, lets talk about what makes the D500 great:
-20.9 megapixel sensor with EXPEED 5 image processing. This processor is top of the line and the only other camera that has it is the $6500 D5.
-153 Autofocus points that cover the sensor edge to edge with 99 of the points being cross-type. Shooting with this camera doing sports and wildlife shooting in bursts, the AF tracking is superb and unrivaled by any alternative.
-ISO covers from 100-51,200 natively! This is unheard of in an APS-C body until now. This means this camera performs well even in low light situations. Look up some of the ISO tests on this camera and you will see that it impresses even at these higher ISO's. It can shoot up to 1,640,000 ISO, but that is not natively and is not recommended by Nikon.
-4k Video. You may have heard that it does have a 1.5x additional crop factor when shooting video. Don't worry too much about that, if you are shooting with the correct lense, it won't be a problem. That said, the 4k video is amazing and looks great on my 4k TV.
-Dual card slots. This camera includes one SD and one XQD card slot. While expensive, XQD is blazing fast and virtually eliminates the buffer so that you can continuously shoot. Speaking of buffer, even with SD, this camera is no slouch. Even shooting with SD only, I've never had to stop and wait for the buffer when using the continuous shooting features.
-10FPS. That's right, you can capture 10 shots per second when shooting continuously. This is a feature you will find VERY useful for sports and wildlife photography.
-Snapbridge is a new feature, exclusive to the D500 at the moment, that lets your camera connect to your phone via NFC/Bluetooth for image sharing among other features.
All-in-all, this camera is a beast and an absolute must-have for any sports or wildlife photographer. Yes, it's no slouch for weddings, landscapes and portraits as well, but Full-frame sensors will surely outperform it in those areas. I would personally pair this camera with a D810 and use this one for the sports/wildlife and the D810 for Weddings/Portraits/Landscape.
If you are in the market for a new high-end professional grade APS-C sensor, this camera is the one for you. Definitely buy it!
Below, I've included a pair of photos taken with the camera.

I already have a D800 and am looking at this as a potential second body.
I checked the photos you uploaded and they're as sharp, if not sharper than those I have taken on the D800, however I'm curious, did you do any editing or enhancing on those two images?
Also I'm debating between a D610, D750 or going medium format. I have shot with the former two, but not yet the D500. How does it do shooting RAW and IYHO, how does it compare to the D7200, which I know well.
Having previously shot with a Canon 1D MK III and 7D, I like your analogy to the 7D Mark II, however ever since switching to Nikon I never considered medium format -- until now.

Fantastic new camera
By EricBowles
I love the D500. I've had more than a dozen Nikon DSLR cameras and this one is great. I photograph professionally and teach workshops.
The WOW features on this camera are the frame rate and the low light performance. At 10 FPS, the camera is fast, but more importantly, with a fast XQD memory card like the Lexar Professional 2933X XQD, the write speed is nearly enough to keep up with the frame rate so the buffer never fills. You can rattle off 200 frames in a burst, then repeat with another burst of the same size. Not everyone needs this kind of speed, but for sports or wildlife it is very helpful.
ISO performance of the D7200 was already quite good for a DX sensor, and this is just a little better. The advantage comes at higher ISO levels - great for low light. The D500 is about a half stop better than the D7200 under low light conditions making it nikon's best DX camera.
Handling is typical of Nikon DSLR cameras - a solid, well built body with controls easy to access. I had no problem adjusting settings without every taking my eye from the viewfinder. The key change is the Mode and ISO buttons have been switched from the typical layout. This places the ISO button next to the shutter - easy to access and make changes that can be seen in the viewfinder.
Card speed matters with this camera. Get a fast XQD card for best performance - a Lexar Professional 2933x or Sony G XQD card. Other cards will not perform at peak speeds and will fill the buffer in a shorter time.
In the SD slot there are several options. I bought a Lexar 2000x UHS-II SD card, but there are some issues with this card and I would not recommend it until the issues are resolved. Be sure to get a UHS-II card for best speed. UHS-II has a second row of contacts and requires a new reader for peak speed. The Sandisk 280 MB/s UHS-II or Toshiba Exceria Pro UHS-II are good, fast cards. Stay away from slower cards like the Lexar 1000x or any UHS-I card. The camera can use UHS-I SD cards in an emergency, but they operate in compatibility mode and are much slower.
This camera is the nice upgrade to the D300. It's a solid choice with a lot of great features. My bread and butter camera is still my D800E, but this camera is a very good compliment and my choice for moving wildlife and sports.

IYHO?
June 4, 2016
While you rave about the D500, you still say that D800E is your bread and butter camera, so I'm curious why you picked this: was it the sensor or the speed?
I'm a part-time photojournalist (don't shoot sports or wildlife) and recently decided that I needed a second body. When I bought my D800. I looked at and liked the D600 and had a hard time deciding, but went with the D800 due to durability. I wanted a camera that could be banged around and still shoot well and the plastic casing worried me. Owning a D800E, is the D500 just as durable?
From a price point perspective I have a hard time justifying going to a medium format body when the D750 costs the same. IYHO, what makes this camera superior to D750 to justify that and why if I were going medium format wouldn't I buy a D7200 (like you my D800 will still be my bread and butter)?
I just want a backup camera in case I need to send mine for repair or on those very rare occasions (maybe once or twice a year) when I get an assignment) where I really need a second body.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

Storage space???
July 9, 2016
BestBuy sells 2.5" SSDs up to 1 TB both online and in select stores and even larger hybrid and HDDs are available, so like my fellow commenter I don't understand your "Tiny under a GB hard drive" (Sic) comment. Remember that this is NOT a hard drive and as such comes with no included storage, rather it is an enclosure for a drive that you either already have or are going to purchase.

The blue ones are a limited run item, which BestBuy currently does not carry online or in store. As I understand it limited quantities may be purchased directly from Bose, either online, by phone or at a Bose store.

As BestBuy only carries them in black or silver if you really want the blue ones you would have to return the black ones and buy the limited run blue headphones directly from Bose.

Need to know what is best brand for Logitech remote using AA rechargeable NiMH with minimum of 1800 MA
There is no "right answer."

The general rules is that the higher the mAh, the longer it will hold a charge, but there is no difference in power output -- a 1,000 mAh battery will put out the same amount of power as a 2,500 mAh battery.

A remote is a relatively low-drain device, so pretty much no matter what batteries you choose you can expect them last a few months. Given that my answer is it comes down to budget and personal preference. Some people swear by Duracell, others by Energizer and others will buy whatever is cheapest, so it is really up to you.

I'm recommending some options that exceed your 1,800 mAh requirement and are from brands that I have used and trust.

If you think you need 1,800 mAh or more, be careful with Duracell and Energizer, because while they both make batteries that significantly exceed that specification, they also make batteries that come in way below it, so make sure that you are buying the right model. Four packs that exceed 1,800 mAH:
Energizer (2300 mAH) -UNH15BP-4
Duracell (2400 mAH) DX1500R4 and (2650 mAH) DC1500B4N

I hope that helps!

will this work on my laptop

If your laptop has Bluetooth connectivity, which most modern laptops do, then yes, you can use these or any Bluetooth headset with it.

If it does not then you can buy an inexpensive USB dongle that will add Bluetooth connectivity.

charging battery without an ac adap

my ac plug on my laptop is broke.is there anyway to charge the battery without it?
Unfortunately, the answer is probably not. Most laptop batteries can on;y be charged from inside the computer.
