Percmo's Reviews

Academy Award winners Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg teamed up with two all-star casts to create each of the sprawling, epic-length World War II miniseries featured in this double-header. First on the bill is 2001's Band of Brothers. Adapted from the bestseller of the same name by Stephen Ambrose, it tells the story of the U.S. soldiers assigned to Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army. This was a crack squad of some of the most gifted men in the U.S.A.F., who parachuted into France on D-Day morning, fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and captured Hitler's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgarden. Stars include Damian Lewis, Ron Livingston and Matthew Settle. Next in the set is 2010's follow-up, The Pacific. It recounts the experiences of three U.S. enlistees -- Eugene Sledge (Joe Mazzello, Robert Leckie (James Badge Dale) and John Basilone (Jon Seda), as they make their way across the harrowing Pacific Theater of World War II - with stops in Guadalcanal, Cape Gloucester, Peleliu, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

I saw most of both series on HBO. This will be the perfect Christmas present for my dad.
What's great about it: informative, entertaining touching

I installed (4) of these speakers in my 20" boat this spring. They are powered by an inexpensive 200w (50w x 4) Pioneer DEH-3300UB which I also purchased from Best Buy. I ran 12g speaker wire in case I ever want to add an external amp.
Many installers don't utilize marine speakers in boat applications but in my case, as we sometimes get caught in the rain, I wanted a water resistant speaker. I was somewhat skeptical at first, especially at the extremely low price but.......
These speakers sound as good as many priced 4 times as much. Sound quality is excellent at low to very high levels. I had to try them fully cranked just to see how they would perform and even at levels much too loud for most they sound fantastic. I highly recommend these speakers for any boat or other outdoor application.
What's great about it: sound is very good the price outstanding!
What's not so great: I have no complaints yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!
