Reliable and flawless mesh system!!!

I live in a home of 1,837 sqft that is automated. Equipped with over 150 connected devices. Given the constant evolution of technology and the need for faster and more reliable internet, I've consistently invested in upgrading my routers and internet plans, even though it has often meant paying a premium price. The increase of IoT devices and tech equipment demands a robust network infrastructure capable of handling high-speed internet, which has been a budgetary concern due to the typically expensive nature of such solutions. In light of these considerations, I recently decided to upgrade to the NETGEAR Orbi 970 Series BE27000 Quad-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (3-Pack) to address several persistent issues I faced with my previous router mesh system.
These issues included:
1. Random device disconnections often require a router restart to resolve IP conflicts.
2. Slow internet speeds lead to low-quality video streaming and buffering.
3. Frustrations with the Apple HomeKit application and device responsiveness, particularly concerning WPA3 and 160GHz compatibility.
4. Connectivity problems with 2.4GHz devices, occasionally necessitating router restarts.
5. Persistent dead zones, despite my house not being exceptionally large.
Transitioning to the NETGEAR Orbi 970 proved to be a transformative experience. It resolved all these issues seamlessly. The unboxing experience was a luxurious one, with the router and two satellites neatly packaged alongside a CAT 6 Ethernet cable for modem-to-router connection. Setting up the system was straightforward, thanks to the user-friendly app. Importantly, I was able to retain my existing SSID and password, avoiding the hassle of re-entering them for my numerous devices.
Following the pairing and connection process, the app provided comprehensive device management features, notifying me of new device connections and their security status. Renaming connected devices enhanced network security by identifying unfamiliar ones. Notably, the router includes built-in Bitdefender security, safeguarding each connected device. Additionally, Bitdefender Armor can be downloaded to scan Wi-Fi-connected devices and protect against hacker threats for a year.
The Orbi 970 system is thoughtfully designed, offering quad-band support for Wi-Fi 7, encompassing 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, and featuring a dedicated 5GHz backhaul. While its size might occupy counter space, it ensures adequate ventilation, aided by its 360 antennas, without compromising coverage. This mesh system does not get super hot!! Compared to my previous mesh system which gets super hot.
With 10 gigabit ports on the router and 4 of 2.5 gigabit ports, I was able to optimize my network connections for various devices, such as my Alienware PC, Philips Hue, and Arlo BaseStation. The two satellites also provide ample connectivity options. The mesh system can handle 200 concurrent devices at the same time. In addition, it is allowable to choose between 2.4 and 5ghz for IoT devices or even select both. However, when I selected both frequencies, some of my smart display devices lost connection which is proven that 2.4ghz is the optimal frequency for IoTs. Also, for the main Wi-Fi network, the security method of the protocols can be chosen from WPA2/WPA3-Personal or only WPA3-Personal. Again, my experience forced me to use both WPA2/WPA3 for network stability.
After completing the setup, I immediately noticed a remarkable improvement in my network's reliability and speed. Browsing became virtually instantaneous, and video streaming could occur at the highest available resolution without buffering. Even my 2.4GHz-supported devices maintained stable connections throughout the day. Furthermore, my speed tests now reflect the true capabilities of my Xfinity Gigabit plan, with download speeds reaching 1467 Mbps and upload speeds at 247 Mbps. This performance fully justified the cost of my Xfinity plan.

NETGEAR offers two types of subscriptions to enhance the capabilities of the system. NETGEAR Armor provides advanced cybersecurity protection and vulnerability scans for all connected devices. Additionally, there are two tiers of ProSupport, one offering extended warranty and support, and the other offering extended warranty only. Both tiers provide repair and replacement services, but the extended support tier offers more comprehensive assistance. Given the investment in this system, I would opt for the highest tier to ensure coverage in case anything goes wrong.
In summary, the NETGEAR Orbi 970 Series BE27000 Quad-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System has been a lifesaver, effectively addressing the connectivity issues I previously encountered. Its seamless setup, robust features, and impressive performance have transformed my home network into a reliable and high-speed internet for all my connected devices and applications and that is noticeable!

The security section also presents the current security status and any detected threats, and the ability to share Wi-Fi credentials via a QR code is a fantastic feature. Great setup and reliable performance.

Versatile and works like a chime

In the exciting world of racing simulators and gaming, the pursuit of realism and total immersion is unending. Precision and performance execution are paramount, and every detail carries weight in capturing the essence of the racetrack. In this context, I integrated my Thrustmaster TH8S shifter with my Logitech G923 Racing Wheel for PC, and the results were impressive. Within a matter of moments, my PC recognized the shifter plugged in via USB, and it was ready for action without the need for extensive driver searches or additional software installations. This shifter operates seamlessly via a hassle-free Plug and Play method.
It's important to note that my assessment of this manual shifter is rooted in my personal experience and is not intended for direct comparison with other brands. I opted for the TH8S shifter due to its exceptional versatility and wide compatibility across various racing wheel brands.
Design: The H-pattern shift plate with 7 gears in addition to reverse gear execute well and make no miss except when I first used it. It is mostly made of plastic, making me feel like this is cheap. However, it feels sturdy and has a fabric protector around the shifter lever to protect the interior mechanism from any potential debris. The shift lever is made of steel which is expected from such a well-known company for making high and premium gaming peripherals and accessories. It Has a clamp that allows it to be securely mounted to a table or racing wheel seat. Very secure and stay attached with no issue.
Compatibility: Compatibility is indeed one of the key attributes that sets Thrustmaster's racing peripherals apart from other brands. Thrustmaster has designed its products to offer extensive compatibility with various gaming platforms via dual connectors. It is widely compatible with a PC via USB cable (any racing wheel), PS, and Xbox via DIN (which require the use of Thrustmaster-brand racing wheels).
Functionality and execution: One of the distinguished features of the Thrustmaster shifter is its ability to adjust the shifter resistance, which allows me to fine-tune the gear lever's resistance feel to suit my preference.

The Security System at Simplicity

First and foremost. I have Xfinity the Gigabit plan (1200 Mbps) service hooked to Nest Wifi Pro with 3 points mesh system. I primarily want to invest in this Arlo Security System because of the ecosystem since I already have 9 Arlo cameras installed across my house. Secondly, I like the Arlo app; its UI is intuitive and easy to navigate. What I like: Easy setup and installation and the whole process took me about 5 minutes. No drilling or wiring is required. Arlo app guided me through the setup and illustrated it well enough to visually understand. The connection was trouble-free and had no issues with my tri-band mesh router. Once I added the security system, the Arlo app prompted me to upgrade the app. After that, the app was changed and its UI looks different. My system comes with two sensors. It is worth noting that each sensor performs multiple functions such as open/close detection, motion, water leak, tilt detection for doors, light changing, temperature, and smoke. This is convenient and versatile. I used one sensor for my garage door since it will alert me whenever the door is open or closed. I put the other sensor for motion detection near my main door. Also, the sensor can be installed with or without a magnet. In my case, I had the sensor for the garage door mounted without a magnet since it supports a tiltable door option which is awesome. Such setup requires further calibration that is also well-guided through the Arlo app. What I don't like: It does not have a battery and cellular backup as it is sold separately. The system is not integrated with Apple HomeKit which is inconvenient since all the cameras are integrated and can be viewed on the HomeKit app. In addition, the new app UI upgrade forced by the security system is not as friendly as it used to be with the Arlo secure app. I have experienced some issues with 2 cameras and setting the arming mode is not as friendly as with the Arlo secure app. Overall, my experience with the system is good. it functions well and sends me a notification whenever an audio/ motion is detected. The garage door sensor is a breeze, it alerts me when opens and closes. Adding a widget on the app dashboard is great to have all my cameras and sensors at my glance. Of course, professional monitoring is available for $25 a month with emergency response. The app reflects the three alarming modes as they are physically on the hub keypad. that can be customized for how notifications and actions can be triggered. I had to edit each mode to adjust the motion and audio sensitivity in the best way that is not overwhelming and annoying. It is an excellent system if you are looking you have a security system and cameras in one app. So far so good!!!

Stunning and retro design speaker

JBL has been well-known for making premium and high-quality speakers for years. This JBL Authentics 200 has a merit to hold the name of authentic!! the retro and heritage design makes it stand out and feel like a masterpiece. The design is superb and elegant. The build quality of it is no doubt far and beyond, it feels premium and looks sophisticated. The leather-like wrap with a front foam grille makes an amazing blend of quality and luxurious look. The size is about perfect. it sits well in my guest room and the sound is room-filling and enough to be heard around my home. When turned, the volume, bass, and treble knobs are premium and have a nice haptic feel. Connectivity, this speaker is wifi and BT enabled, but what impressed me much about this speaker is the integration and ability to use two voice assistants simultaneously which are Alexa and Google Voice. Both are all-time active and can be invoked. Besides, streaming via wifi is awesome and seamless. In addition to Alexa and Google, Apple AirPlay is also available which makes this speaker "all-in-one" to provide everything from music streaming and home control through voice commands. I personally, like the way it is powered. being wired is the best option since I don't plan to take it with me anywhere other than my home. In contrast, I can use the multi-room feature on Alexa and Google Home apps to connect it to other speakers I have already in different rooms and have them all play simultaneously. The microphone seems great as I did not have any voice assistant issues. It picks up the trigger words such as “Alexa or Hey Google” immediately. Also controlling smart home devices was a breeze. The speaker can be connected to the internet via ethernet but I would rather use wifi just to declutter cables it is good to have for sure. USB Type-C is also available to connect a phone or tablet and play music. I loved this speaker, it offers a luxurious design, premium quality, and all the music streaming services to the extent I can choose any service I prefer with no hassle. The sound is amazing and provides super clarity and loud. In addition, the favorite heart-shaped button is the moment feature that allows to create a playlist on the JBL One app to play it with a single press on the speaker. Finally, a privacy-related feature is addressed here as the speaker has a microphone on/off switch on the back which is convenient.

Absolutely a great gaming laptop!

I have been using gaming laptops for my entire life ranging from top and high ends to midrange machines and I believe gaming machines offer cutting-edge technology with a minor difference between brands that offer different prices. This Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is a perfect gaming laptop. It is a powerful gaming laptop that offers a great balance of performance and features. My thoughts after using it for a few days. It has a sleek and stylish design even though it is a bit heavy. The startup sound is kind of loud and reminds me of Transformers, but I liked it. The Predator logo on the top of the lid stands out. It is made mostly of plastic but feels sturdy and well-built. It has a dedicated button that is used to cycle between different performance modes which is handy. I liked the design of the keyboard. It is a full backlit keyboard with a nice feel and soft clicks and RGB lighting with 4 zones. The trackpad size is good but not the best as some gestures tend not to work properly. It is kind of heavy and generates heat when I use it on my lap, especially when it is in Turbo mode. Also, on Turbo mode, the fans tend to be very loud, and I was able to hear them even with my headphones on. The display is bright and clear, and the colors are crips with a resolution of (2560 x 1600) and a 165Hz refresh rate that supports G-Sync. The gaming on this machine was flawless. No lag or screen tearing except the battery drains greatly. Balanced mode allows more battery life so when I used it for gaming, I had to keep it plugged in for my entire gaming session. Downloading and connectivity seem to be reliable and killer Wi-Fi has the double shot feature to boost connectivity speed in terms of download/upload which is noticeable. It is packed with the latest hardware for a delay or lag–free experience. Intel Core i7 13th gen powers it, 16 Gb RAM DDR5 (upgradable), and GPU RTX 4060. Storage default is 1 TB SSD and comes with one empty slot for an extra storage upgrade. Such a combination of hardware makes the laptop incredibly powerful. It can handle even the most demanding games at high settings. The Acer Sense software is like Aser Crate and Alienware Command Center in which customization can be made. A/O is a handful there is a good selection of ports and connectivity options. 2 - USB Type-C Ports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps) DisplayPort over USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4 & USB Charging, 1 - USB 3.2 Gen 2 Port, 1 - USB 3.2 Gen 2 Port, 1 - USB 3.2 Gen 1 Port, 1 - HDMI Port 2.1 and 1 - Ethernet port. It is a well-rounded machine with some Cons. The power brick is chunky and significantly big. I could barely put it in my slim backpack. The other thing is that the Thunderbolt port cannot be used to charge the laptop using a USB-C cable by the PD charging station. So, the power brick is the only way to charge it. Besides the battery life draining quickly in Turbo mode and the fan being too loud, neither Windows Hello nor fingerprint can quickly sign in. Overall, it has a pleasing display and great hardware, and its performance is amazing in gaming and productivity. It comes with a nice sleeve.

Premium quality and super usability.

No doubt that the SANUS brand is one of the best when it comes to TV mounting kits. The box is heavy which is a good indication that it is well-built and packed. All the installation components are well organized in the box and the instruction manual is colored and concise. It guided me through the entire installation with no issues. My TV size is 42” and it used to be sitting on a cabinet until I upgraded my new TV to this LG 42” UIQ9000 and planned to mount it. The SANUS wall mount came right on time. So I mounted the TV on the wall and the whole process was like a breeze. This TV mount gives me full motion and flexibility to move it around freely and effortlessly. All the post-installation adjustments are great and my TV was positioned how I liked it. Very sturdy and feels like it will last forever. Very slim and full motion allows me to extend and swivel and tilt, which is precisely what I needed for my TV. Also, it is well-thought-out that the company added a cable management attached to the metal bar to run the cable. After I run all my cables, they can barely be seen from the side. Very satisfied and it is a great product overall. Highly recommend it.

blazing fast extra storage space

I was on the lookout for expanding my PS5 storage to address the issue of running out of enough storage while I like to keep my old games also, I had to delete some of them due to the storage space issue. I researched for almost a month to find a steal deal and voila this Crucial PS Plus is a lifesaver. It is a high-performance PCIe Gen 4 SSD that is designed for my PS5. It offers sequential read speeds of up to 6,600 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 5,000 MB/s, which is significantly faster than PCIe Gen 3 SSDs. Installation is straightforward with a nice goodie from Crucial which is the included heatsink with its thermal pad pre-installed. This made my whole installation process much faster. It is recommended by Sony to keep the drive cool under heavy loads. This is especially important for the PS5, which can generate a lot of heat which leads to affecting the console performance by the rising temperature. I popped out the side cover, unscrewed the SSD bay’s cover, and put the Crucial SSD in. It was a nice and clean process that took me 10 minutes to finish everything and was ready to fire up my PS5 console. After I turned on my PS5 I was welcomed by a formatting message on the screen “which is required to continue the setup”. After that, the SSD drive was ready to go. My reading speed was 5500mgbs which is a blazing fast. I moved some of my big old games from the internal storage to this new Crucial and amazingly they all transferred at a blazing speed. I also tried to load up a game first from my internal storage and then moved it to the new SSD and noticed that both have the same load speed. Other games I moved to the Crucial SSD loaded fast and had no issues. It is an amazing SSD. Speed is reliable and blazing fast. Overall, This Crucial P5 Plus SSD drive is a great choice and worth it for the easy almost ready-of-the-box installation and performance you get.

Versatile all-in-one computer

This Dell Inspiron 24" Touch Screen All-In-One is a mid-range computer with good performance, features, and value. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 5625U processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. From the given hardware specs, I would admit that this computer configuration provides enough power for everyday tasks such as web browsing, email, office productivity, and light gaming so I don't expect it to handle heavy gaming or even multiple tasks like video editing and graphic design. The computer also has a 24-inch Full HD touchscreen display, a built-in webcam, and a variety of ports including HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C. The screen is decent but it does the job. I love the pop-up mode of the webcam it gives a sense of privacy since I can hide it when I don't need it but I need it though to sign in using Windows Hello. With that being said, the webcam seems kind of dim at night and does not provide a high-quality picture. I have to remind myself always that this computer is a mid-range. The design is nice and compact. I replaced it with the other desktop that I use for work and loved how it sits standalone without a tower and it saved me so much space. Touchscreen seems to be responsive and I'm having no issues so far. I'm glad that Dell included a wireless keyboard and mouse but I preferred to use my Razer set instead. I have the plan to expand the RAM since it is expandable to 32GB with DDR4 (3200 MHz) beside the storage just to have more speed and storage capacity.
I/O: USB 3.2 Type-C, 3 USB 3.1, 1 USB 3.1 with PowerShare, 2 HDMI, Ethernet port, and SD Card Reader. Overall, this is a versatile all-in-one computer for daily use, and as far as the price goes, it is very competitive price. Cons are no discrete GPU as well as a CD drive and I wished it has more USB-Type C ports rather than only one it would have been much more convenient to serve my needs. I like it, it is a neat and capable PC. Also, Dell does not disappoint me when it comes to high-quality PCs.

Another great gaming headset from Razer

Personally, the Razer Blackshark Pro V2 is a stellar gaming headset. I still use my v1 and am happy with it. Design: Razer kept the same pilot-inspired style that I like and looks fantastic. The same comfort is similar to V1, it doesn't apply clamping force over my ears or head even after a long time of wearing. The adjustable leatherette headband is one of my favorite features of this gaming headset, it is easy to adjust and comfy. Connectivity: This V2 comes with new welcoming improvements such as moving from USB to USB-C and adding Bluetooth capability along with a standard 2.4 Ghz USB. The smart switch button allows to switch between BT and USB dongle (does not support auto switching). The detachable mic sounds much better compared to its predecessor and my voice sounded clearer and louder when I played online with my friends. Another improvement is the EQ button for quick toggling between the default preset of EQs. However, one of the five default EQs is a custom that can be edited via Razer Synapse. What I like about it is the onboard saving which means I don't have to have Synapse once my preferred custom EQ is created. it will be saved on the headset itself. The volume dial is different and does not have a tactile feel, unlike the previous version. I just don't know why Razer removed this feature. The dial continues to roll when it is all the way up and down. As a result, when I used it on PC, and can see the volume indicator but on PS5 I can only tell when the tone beeps. I just hoped that Razer kept it and never changed it. I have been using it on my PS5 for the last 4 days and I'm impressed by how they sound cool and clear. I put it in the gaming mode, and it is terrific. Two things that I don't like; first, this version does have the carrying pouch the V1 does other than that it is my favorite design, and the battery lasts longer compared to its predecessor.

Compact and budget laptop for daily tasks

From my use of this laptop, I can say that this laptop is meant to be used for basic purposes such as school work, checking emails, surfing the web, or any personal simple use, and NOT for heavy tasks.
It is also a good laptop for students and budget-minded users. The specs are kind of disappointing when I first looked at it but my ultimate use of this laptop is for school work and portability. Nevertheless, the specs turned out to be satisfactory and sufficient. The startup and browsing and navigating programs are smooth and lag-free. The keyboard keys are spaced well and it is comfortable to type on and the touchpad is responsive. The laptop is also very thin and incredibly light, making it easy to carry around and the battery seems to last forever even with my office work and having multiple windows open. I use it almost every day for virtual meetings at my workplace and so far I have no issues connecting to Wi-Fi or any other system issues. I wish it has a higher screen resolution as I can see some glare and the colors are not vivid. In addition to a backlit keyboard. Besides the screen brightness is adequate and the speakers are not that great. Preinstalled (8Gb RAM) can be upgraded but for my simple use I don't feel I need to do that but it is a plus. Finally, the Intel Core i3 (11th gen) and 8GB of RAM, 128 GB SSD, and no other I/O ports but does the purpose and I'm pleased with its lightweight/ portable and smooth navigation.

Wireless and Motion deretction is smart that can give a notification by sending an email to inform there is something moving close to the camera, resolution is very good as I tested it day and night time and also its smartphone based-app is so helpful and takes you through setup and configuration with several options like rename you camera, turn alarm on and iPhone touch id sign in feature. At night you can adjust camera brightness for a better picture clarity. I'm a 100% satisfied that I can monitor my house front and back remotley. I recommend this security camera to a friend
