This is by far the best effort to date on the Narnia Series. Very few liberties were taken with the literatary masterpiece that is: Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Douglas Gresham, a descendant of the author (C.S. Lewis) and keeper of the Narnia kingdom was on hand to make sure the movie adaptation stayed close to the original. He has a cameo appearance as a slaver. We saw the Movie on the big screen in the 3D version and I thought the limited 3D sceans added to the realism.
Ideally you should read the book first and then see the movie on the big screen, but if these options are not open to you, you will still enjoy and benefit from seeing the Blue Ray Version. This work is meant to fire the imagination, build your courage, strengthen your faith in the great Alsan -- who is not safe, but He is good.
What's great about it: Faithful to the Original, Brilliant and Beatiful Sceaneary.
