Beautiful but needs maintenance

Our first front loader. Learned (after getting it) that you have to drain the catch tub periodically. And there is a filter to clean. Also, if you leave the front door closed, you will end up with mold around the gasket. I was not willing to perform the maintenance items. I want to throw the clothes in, put soap in, start the washer, and come back later.
Ended up exchanging for LG WT1101CW top loader and much happier now. .

What's great about it: Quiet, solid build, nice controls
What's not so great: needs TLC .. Water savings NOT a desirable feature in a washer

Nice features- aesthetically pleasing

Bought this dryer DV42H5000GW to match front loading washer. Decided that the washer was too much trouble. It has maintenance items and mold potential. Plus did not like bending over to load/ unload.
So the dryer was the matching unit. It seemed to work OK.. but never really learned to use it. It would not dry anything completely. Also, it started making a scraping sound after about 2 weeks. Something may have been stuck in it.
Ended up exchanging it for the LG DLE1101W.

Bought this $3,000 set two months ago. Two weeks ago it died. Under warranty. Sony sent Geek Squad. New part ordered. Fail. Now Geed Squad says "nothing they can do" they are unable to repair or to get authorization to replace. I had ALWAY bought Samsung sets and NEVER had reliability issues but liked the sound and speaker set up on this set. Unless SONY makes this situation right IMMEDIATELY will never buy another set and will tell everyone else I know not to buy from Sony.

what is the difference between digital & electonic control panels on frontload washers/dryers?
LG is the best.. Started with Whirlpool .. then Samsung front loaders. Then finally LG top load washer with the buttons in the front with matching dryer. LOVE THEM! Excellent machines. They both make cool sounds and the digital control panel controls and monitoring features are very nice too.

When will this be available?
When will this be available, and why is there a sale price with no option to buy it? Would it be available now in select stores?
DON'T GET the front loaders. Get the LG top loaders with the buttons in the front... EXCELLENT. Took our Samsung front loaders back for the LG's and they are superior in every way. No regrets at all.

Matching dryer with energy saving
Could you please recommend dryer that have energy saving and match with this washer model?
Get the LG top loaders. EXCELLENT... I took back Samsung front loaders... Dryer already had issues (scraping sound) and washer barely got the clothes wet. I don't want to save water!
