Despite what the critcis thought, this was an enjoyable film. Jolie & Depp really did a great job here--both acting somewhat against type. Depp as the typical tourist was sweet, charming and funny. Jolie as the beautiful mysterious stranger he met on a train was perfect. Against the background of Venice, Jolie's character causes Depp's "Frank" to fall fo her. However, Elies, Jolie's character, has a lover that has set up a plan for the two to reunite. This movie was mismarketed in my opinion--it's not a thriller in the typical sense. It's more of a romantice suspense mystery with some action & humor thrown in. There is stellar acting from the supporting cast and the ending left me with a smile on my face. The extras are entertaining and informative. This is a classy elegant film much like the '60s Hepburn classics.
