My partner and I have been using BLU devices for a few years now, because the price point and quality are spot-on for what we want. We have not yet had a BLU device fail in any way, so I felt pretty good about surprising him with their 2016 flagship, despite it being new and thus largely untested for longevity (my own device was their 2014 flagship, and it's still going strong 2 years later).
A word of caution if you plan to use dual SIM and an SD card simultaneously; with this one, you can't. The pop-out tray for (micro) SIM/SD has only 2 slots; SIM2 is the same slot as the SD card. He only uses one SIM card and an SD, so not an issue in this case, but something to be aware of.
He disliked the lack of app dock (literally his only complaint with the android platform preinstalled on it), so I replaced the launcher with ADW, and he now has an appdock and a bunch of customization features to make it feel more like what he was used to. The hardware is more than sufficient to do this, and runs like a champ. He has yet to figure out how many programs he has to run to slow it down notably, despite trying. The sound leaves a bit to be desired (what phone audio doesn't, though?), but we haven't tried any third-party mixers to even it out, so I can't say if it's the program or the hardware; it's not bad enough to bother with, honestly.
He's only had it for a short time, since it was just released, but he's thrilled with it so far. He loves the new USB port (that it's reversible) but loves even more that his battery doesn't die if he forgets to charge it or can't because he doesn't have the right cord, even when he has GPS and bluetooth/wifi on all day. Screen-on time seems to run about 6 hours between charges. The camera is wonderful, and the program options and filters that come with it are great -I even took a picture out a sunny window from across a large room (usually a no-go), and the details were surprisingly crisp and clear. The screen is large, bright, and responsive, and the device weighs very little for the size. It came with a crystal-clear protective soft case so you can still see the lovely aluminum body, and it looks great in person, case or no. The build quality and feel is no less than I'd expect given prior experience with BLU, and indeed, seems nicer than the other devices we've bought at roughly the same price.
Overall, a great device, especially for the price. After playing around with his, I'd honestly get one for myself -it's REALLY nice, and I've drooled over it more than a bit- but I hardly use my phone despite being a techienerd, what I have still works and is entirely sufficient for my use so I can't justify replacing it. If mine dies, however, this will probably be my replacement.

I got this for my stays with smoking family, as I have major smoke sensitivities, and even if they stop smoking inside when I'm there, the lingering smoke does it just as well. Works great at home to control animal dander in the most frequented room, as well.
This may not completely clear it out, but I certainly notice a difference.
It gets quite loud on higher settings, though on low it's barely audible. The UV feature is nice, and I'm sure it works, but I have no way of confirming that, so I take their word for it. The filter is easy to remove, and doing so powers off the unit; a nice safety feature due to the UV bulb being under the filter

Bought this for the BF for xmas, because I have a phone that is almost identical. Fantastic device, as are all Blu phones I have had the privilege of playing with. Rooted phone and quarantined the OTA update, so as not to lose functionality of rooting, and that was more or less all that needed to be done to tweak the programs. Camera works marvelously with camera MX, all signals are strong and clear. Have this phone on Cricket network, and have never had signal issues. Only "complaint" if you can call it that is that the phone is so new that cases are difficult to come by, but he loves the blue shell we decided on, and has no complaints about the device. Camera sticks out slightly in the back, but this has not caused any issues. For the price, if you have GSM service, you simply cannot go wrong with this device. it's fast, it works, and everything sounds really good on it.
Best part is that it supports both a microSD and mini and micro SIM cards (the miniSIM has reduced functionality, so make sure you get a microSIM as your primary SIM card, or better yet, what I did for my Blu phone, get a nano and an adapter so you never need to replace it if you get a new device. Phone also has a removable battery, and it lasts a really long time on a single charge.
Bottom line, if you want a GSM phone that has a changeable battery AND SD card support, this is a winner. Not too many have both of these features these days, and those which do cost a small fortune. For the price and performance, this phone is a winner.
