Huge chunk of plastic & useless protection plan.

Mine stopped working in 14 months. It's a huge (very heavy) chunk of plastic, and it's unreliable & poorly made.
I had also purchased the so-called "Geek Squad Protection Plan." But be advised that they do not do house visits for appliances, unless they are "very large." This one was delivered in a truck and carried into my house by two men, but apparently it does not qualify as "large enough." I'm not a young man anymore, and I can barely lift this huge dehumidifier. But the "Geek Squad" expects me to take it the closest Best Buy... I guess I'll drop dead soon thereafter... I'll never buy another Frigidaire product, and will never purchase another BestBuy protection plan. If I can find the item I need elsewhere, I'll never again buy anything from Best Buy.

I purchased this Yamaha mini CD stereo (MCR-232; SKU 5276799) from BestBuy in late 2013. Within six months, it started to make horrible mechanical noises when starting a new CD or when changing tracks. Then, soon thereafter it was unable to play many CDs (regular music CDs from main-stream brands: Sony, Decca, etc.). In a year, it was working erratically, with tremendous amounts of mechanical noise. Two years later it was essentially dead. It can take me 15 minutes to get it to start playing a CD, and then it starts skipping chunks (not tracks, just 20 seconds here, a minute there). I have a similar mini system from Onkyo, which is a bit older and works fine, with no mechanical noise whatsoever. I will never buy Yamaha again in my life.

Will this Dehumidifier turn itself back on after a power failure?
This Dehumidifier will be in a hard to reach crawl space. Will it turn itself back on after a power failure?
If not, what Dehumidifiers do you have that will do that? (Must have this feature.)
(I intend to use a pump to automatically empty the water.)

It's really a piece of plastic junk. Buy a better brand from a store with a real protection plan (Best Buy does not house visits for anything that is not 300 or 400 lb).
