Long lasting quality

We purchased this fan in 2007. We were drawn to the fan because of the style, oscillation, remote control and the ionizer. It's 2013 now and this fan has run every night, save a few weeks for vacations, of every year and is still in perfect running order. Now, that's longevity! I'm always surprised that this thing still works. Now, I will say this, if you are buying a brand new one... find a place for it and try not to carry it around by the handle on the top of the unit much. The only thing I have to complain about is that it can rattle/squeak if you move the unit around. I have to set it just right to make sure it doesn't rattle while we're sleeping. But this is our fault, I don't blame the unit. My hubby used to pick it up by the top every morning and move it to the corner. It made the fitting loose after a couple of years. I believe that if he hadn't done that and we had let it sit in the corner in the first place, we would never have developed the offending rattle. Luckily, I know where the sweet spot is to stop the rattle, so it's not a problem. If you are buying new, just find it's forever spot in your room and let it do its job. You'll still be looking at in 2020!
What's great about it: This fan has staying power! Lots of options for the money
What's not so great: Propensity to squeak.
I would recommend this to a friend!
