Simply one of the best movies from 2014, led by an amazing performance from J.K. Simmons. When I saw the movie in theaters, the crowd burst into applause as the credits rolled. This disc features the original short, which is interesting to see where the story started.
Yes, a lot of the backstory is similar to the last trilogy, but I enjoy the darker tone to this one. Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are great in this, and it's a solid story.
If you want an intricate plot, complex characters, and an ending that will leave you questioning everything you know - this is not your movie,. Just turn off your brain, relax, and enjoy a stupid, silly, fun comedy.
The fifth season of the multiple Emmy-winning drama Mad Men follows the ongoing adventures of the employees at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce as they deal with personal and professional traumas. In these episodes, Pryce makes a fateful decision, Don adjusts to remarried life, Sterling has his consciousness expanded, and Pete feels suffocated by life in the suburbs.
The season where the show started to get darker. I understand some people were turned off by it, but I think this season is as complex as any. Like previous seasons, this one is packed with great bonus features.
This release compiles all 13 episodes from the fourth season of the NBC sitcom Community, starring Joel McHale as the sardonic leader of a wacky study group. This season of the show is notable as it was the first to be created without input from series creator Dan Harmon, who was fired from the program, but returned for its fifth season.
This set brings together every episode from the third episode of NBC's sitcom Community, starring Joel McHale as the leader of a motley study group who befriend each other at a community college. This was the final year of the program overseen by the series' original creator Dan Harmon.
It's a classic. This is a great package, though I believe all the bonus features are the same as the 2 disc DVD. Still, the quality is worth the Blu-ray upgrade.
I went into this movie with muted expectations, but it far surpassed them. This movie is not only hilarious, but also really smart, and has some good action sequences. The bonus features are almost as funny as the movie itself.
Part of the Criterion Collection, A Film Trilogy by Ingmar Bergman is a three-disc set of 1960s chamber dramas from Ingmar Bergman. Shot by cinematographer Sven Nykvist, each film is a personal story of spiritual loss in modern life. Includes Through a Glass Darkly (1961), Winter Light (1962), and The Silence (1963). Each film is presented with a high definition full frame transfer in the original black-and-white. The Dolby Digital Mono soundtracks are offered in Swedish with improved English subtitle translation. Optional English dubbed soundtracks are also available. Special features include poster galleries, original theatrical trailers, essays, and video discussions with Bergman biographer Peter Cowie. Besides being a beautifully packaged collector's edition, this set marks the first time these films have been released on DVD in the U.S. Highly recommended for fans of the director's work.
Bergman's 'Silence of God' trilogy is all here in one collection. It certainly is some of his bleakest work, from the stark cinematography of 'Winter's Light' to the biting verbal jabs of 'The Silence,' but it always leaves you thinking. This is a must for any Bergman fan. The extras are a little light, but mostly make up for it with the full length documentary about the making of 'Winter's Light.'
Chinatown is one of the all time classic movies in cinema and I recommend anyone check it out who hasn't. This is the Steelbook Blu-ray copy that comes in beautiful packaging with all the extras as the regular version. Highly recommended.
