Yes, it was worth the decade long wait!

I've not touched a Final Fantasy game since XII and I didn't never finished it. If you're a fan or just someone looking for a great JRPG look no further! One of the biggest things that has always turned me off from Japanese RPG's is turn based battles. FFXV finally did away with those and the combat it more akin to 2012's "Dragon's Dogma." Or any other action RPG. I had concerns this game might be another AAA flop (which we've had many of those in the past two years; I'm looking at you MGS5) But this game has completely taken over my life, I absolutely love it, the music, the boys, the hilarious one liners. You can tell they had fun making FFXV. It's light hearted, it's fun, it's addicting and it doesn't alienate people who may be new to the series or RPG's in general. Yet, it still has homages and hallmarks of the old games and does not water down the elements one would expect from a massive RPG, I'm currently 41 hours in and I'm only on Chapter 4 and Level 43! LOVE IT!

Have you ever wondered what you would do if you woke up one day to find the world transformed to one full of horrors? Lots of people have apocalypse survival plans, but do they really ask themselves how they would cope? It's hard to gauge how well you would deal with a life that consists of nothing but fear, because you've never really experienced it. But one thing is for certain — if you let the fear win then you don't survive. If you don't keep the evil within chained up under lock and key, then the horror will overtake you and drag you under.Dive into a world crafted by the father of survival horror, Shinji Mikami in The Evil Within. In a game that embodies the meaning of terror, you have no choice but to gather your courage, shut down the fear and let your adrenaline carry you away. Explore highly crafted environments full of the stuff of nightmares and contend with the horrifying anxiety of constantly fighting to survive. An intricate storyline weaves together to build an engrossing experience that will make your palms sweat and your heart race. Do you have what it takes to overcome the tension and withstand the deadly terror?

All of the Shinji Mikami Hallmarks in one Game!

While it won't surpass the awesomeness that was Resident Evil 4, (I doubt a game ever will) I really enjoyed The Evil Within. Sure it's not as scary as some of the previews made it out to be, but it definitely had it's VERY tense moments. The Story is kind of all over the place but I feel like that was Mikami's intention. It actually starts making you feel crazy (but in a good way) with the random shifts in the games setting. One minute you're in a village, the next you're in a hospital, the next you're in a ruined city. The ending is a little disappointing but basically Shinji Mikami has taken all of his Hallmarks that have made him one of the biggest Japanese Game Developers and thrown them into one package. If you're a fan of Suda 51 games, old school Resident Evil or the more recent Alan Wake and Deadly Premonition, look not further.

My 2nd Favorite Album from Chevelle.

After 2009's Sci-Fi crimes, Hat's off to the Bull is my next favorite Chevelle Album. It's not as heavy as some of their other music but that's perfectly fine. It's one of my bands from yesteryear I fell in love with, continue to hang onto to this day. And yes, they continue to stand the tests of time. It's one of the few Albums I can listen to front to back and then listen to it all over again. Great road trip music too. :D

It was really good, but it could have been amazing

John Carter was criminally underrated and mostly ignored when it came out in March of 2012, literally no one went and saw and I believe it was one of the biggest box office bombs ever. HOWEVER, if you are a fan of space opera's ala Serenity or of course) Star Wars look no further. While it's not amazing, John Carter does give us alot about in regards to lost civilizations on Mars. It's quite action heavy and feels a little uneven with the story but it makes up for it in stunning visuals at set pieces. I'm not a fan of CG but I found John Carter's to be quite superb. If you like space movies and lots of Aliens definitely give John Carter a watch.

What's great about it: Great, yet overlooked Space Opera.
What's not so great: Rather uneven in the pacing.

This was not the intro was waiting for...

Metal Gear Solid is one of my most beloved series in all my 25 years of gaming. I was so excited when they debuted the trailer for The Phantom Pain and then a little confused when they said they would be releasing a smaller version of the game to give players a taste of new metal gear. I sincerely hope Hideo Kojima and Konami are paying close attention to the negative feeback this game has been getting. First of all it is a very short game, I played it for a total of 7 hours, but I was going back and replaying side missions for achievements. Technically the game is one short main mission and several side missions, plus a mission with Raiden that unlocks if you collect all the XOF Patches. Despite it all, I was left feeling very confused and uncomfortable on why this game was even made, much less sold for a price. Next I was very disappointed with many of the things that make Metal Gear Solid great were not even included in the game. Things like knocking on walls, codec calls, laying down magazines and playing around with the guards. Ground Zeroes seems to have lost some of its charm and campiness that the other games had. I hope this is not neglected in The Phantom Pain because those are fun little moments I was really sad were not included in Ground Zeroes. Finally, they need to do something about Sutherland voicing Big Boss. It was such a let down. Konami and Kojima should have chosen someone lesser known and with not such a recognizable voice. I felt like I was playing as Jack Bauer, not Big Boss. It was very unsettling and awkward. I couldn't shake the feeling. Some people seem to be okay with this, they must be new to the series, because I've talked to friends who are veterans and they think Sutherland turning Metal Gear into 24 is just dreadful. Aside from these glaring issues, it was a pretty good time and I'm glad that I purchased it. But again, Konami and Kojima Productions have A LOT of work ahead of them if they want to make it as magical as the other games in the series.

This is easily in my top 5 of Best Zelda Titles. It was originally released in 2004 for the Gamecube but I missed it for some reason so this was my opportunity to play a great Zelda game in its definitive form. Unlike most titles from the early 2000's Wind Waker aged EXTREMELY with a fresh new fell, while still maintaining WindWakers unique cell shaded design. It has a more crisp look and absolute beautiful color pallet. Most of all, it is just fun to play, the Controls are flawless, there are plenty of things to keep you busy and very easy to pick up and play. Of course, you can even play it on the Wii U Gamepad if no TV is available. I absolutely love Zelda Games, this, Twilight Princess and Majoras Mask are my top 3 Zelda Games and I am so happy I finally got to play another great title from Nintendo, especially now that its updated for the Wii U. I cannot recommend this game enough if you are a Wii U owner and it will keep you plenty occupied during these cold months!

Best Mario Game since Galaxy II

This is the best Mario Game I have played since Mario Galaxy I & II. I tried the New Super Mario Brothers Games but they didn't hold my interest. Mario 3D World is awesome! Normally I play my games solo but this games is so much more fun when a friend jumps in and plays with you! When Nintendo releases a game it is almost always Perfection and Mario 3D World is virtually flawless! This is an absolute must buy for anyone who has a Wii U or is a long time Nintendo loyalist like myself! :)

It has happened. The end of times is near, and hordes of the undead search for the living with brainless, relentless persistence. The city lies in ruins, and everywhere you turn, you see gore and destruction. You wander the city of Los Perdidos and every beat of your heart, every breath you suck in and every step you take is in an unending pursuit of survival. It's only a matter of time until the military swoops in and wipes the entire city, and everyone in it, off the map. So, while you're here, you've got to contend with swarms of zombies — but ultimately to survive, you have to get out.Prepare yourself for the next generation of zombie-slaying thrills in this third installment of the blockbuster Dead Rising series that features the stunning visuals made possible by your Xbox One. Overwhelming hordes of zombies with plenty of detailed gore are coming your way — and while they feature tons of variation, they also have a shared awareness that will make it that much more difficult to survive. Luckily, as you explore the massive open-world environment of Los Perdidos, you can pick up anything and everything and make it into a weapon. With hundreds of potential weapon combinations, it's up to you to decide how you want to end each and every brain-eating walker. With intense action and unmatched character customization, Dead Rising 3 takes the zombie horror to new levels by utilizing your Kinect to aid the undead in their hunt for blood. The horde can hear into your living room and respond to your at-home environment — so go ahead and flip off the lights, if you dare. See if you have what it takes to lay waste to the zombie hordes and make it out alive.

THIS is the launch game you were looking for!

I sat in at a hands off demo at Gamescom in Germany in August and really loved the presentation, but I told the Developers that I kind of bitter about the series after Dead Rising 2. They assured me that this game was a breath of fresh air over DR:2 without losing the Dead Rising spirit. Dead Rising 3 is definitely a charm. It has done away with most of the annoying trends from the other games, the timer is still there but it is greatly improved. The boss battles are still kind of weird, but they are not as hard as they were in 1 & 2. There is plenty to do and I find myself just playing it mindlessly (like a zombie) for hours, just doing challenges and side missions. Oh and if you got annoyed like I did in the Dead Rising 2, not having enough time to finish all the side missions, don't worry, there is plenty of time! The Save system is also now auto-save or you can just hit the pause button and save on the fly. I HIGHLY Recommend this game if you like getting lost for hours in open world action and crafting insanely creative weapons! :D 9/10
What's great about it: VERY MUCH Improved Third entry to the Series!
What's not so great: A few bugs, but nothing that ruins the game.
