These Freek Elite extenders add a better feel to my controller and add a great grip at the same time. I bought the shorter CQC version after not being able to find Gel Tabz anywhere anymore. Tried Grip Its, but they never would stay on. After I had the CQC for a few weeks I ordered these and have been using them for several months. The only downside is that I do have scuff marks where they rub (see photo) on my controller, (Dualshock 3) but its no big deal. Overall, a welcome addition to my controllers.
What's great about it: Greater Control, More Grip
What's not so great: Slight Scuff Marks to Controller

I've been waiting for Best Buy to get these in since they were released, so I've been really looking forward to them. I have to say I'm a bit dissapointed. While I cannot stress enough how I love that they are rechargeable, they lack some feautres that I'm used to with the PX5's. Both the game and the chat seem muffled with these XP400's. There is no voice prompt to tell you what your button presses are doing, you must rely on counting how many times the set beeps. Audio presets are pre-programmed, limited to only four choices and are not customizable. As far as the surround sound angles are concerned, a few of them sounded the same to me. I chose the one that gave the fullest sound and it sounds really good.
The headset is lightweight and comfortable. It has nice padding on both the headpiece and the earcups. The mic is super flexible, detachable and includes a windscreen which can be easily removed if you wish. Fit is just right and they don't hurt even after hours of use. Outside noise is nearly non-existent. The Wi-Fi transmitter is small and easy to set up. It sits right beside my Vita, PS3 and my router and I have experienced zero interference and no popping or hissing noises from the headset. Friends report that chat comes through nice and clear on their end. Overall, a good buy if you must have a rechargeable headset. For a more feature packed set, go with the PX5's but keep your AA's handy. Here's to hoping they will make that model with a rechargeable battery next!

After booting this game up and while I knew in advance- not seeing the much loved Naughty Dog logo come out across the screen, things felt a little weird. Then Nate's theme comes out of the speakers and things start feeling a little more at home. After spending a few hours with this game, I have to say that I am happy with it. It doesn't feel like something the Dogs would have done but it is a fun game and I really appreciate the extra tasks that need doing. There are photos to take, puzzles to do, artifacts to examine and charcoal rubbings to make. These tasks make great use of the Vita's excellent touchscreen/pad and add a nice addition to the game. Its a lot more fun than just looking out for that gleam of a treasure and going over to pick it up. This game is more interactive. The story is good so far, but it sometimes sounds like the voice acting is a little bit stiff. While Nolan North's voice coming from the Vita makes you feel at home, it doesn't sound as natural as with the PS3 offerings of Uncharted. Sometimes it sounds like they plugged in a generic yell or grunt that isn't him. The controls are the same, except for the touch controls, of course. You can either aim with the stick or move the Vita around like a camera to aim, but I prefer the traditional aiming. The soundtrack uses some music from Drake's Fortune so that was fun to hear again too. Overall, Bend did a great job with this game and I'm glad they put the new treasure hunter parts into it. Its fun to actually do something with the artifacts that are found. I'd recommend this game to anyone and especially to fans of Uncharted.

When I first saw this cradle I thought it would be heavier than it is. I was thinking it was made of metal or aluminum but it isn't. Its plastic all the way around. It feels a little flimsy and easy to break and it is very lightweight. That being said, I like it just fine anyway. Your Vita plugs into it so there's no chance of it falling off. There is a 3.5mm jack in the rear for you to plug in your speakers or a headset or headphones if you wish. (And by the way, like every PSP before it, the Vita's speakers are less than thrilling.) There is also a spot for you to plug your usb cable into which allows your Vita to charge, sync with your PS3 or do both while its docked. The angle is perfect and the rubber feet on the bottom of the cradle prevent it from sliding around. Overall, while it is a bit flimsy for me, I would buy it all over again due to its other qualities.
What's great about it: Low price, it does more than a mere stand
What's not so great: A bit flimsy

The Dogs do it again!

First off, the collector's edition was well worth the cost for me. The Drake statue is a good size and nicely detailed. I didn't expect the Travelling case to be made of cardboard, but its still nice anyway...Looks great on display! As for the game, well it sure is beautiful! Superb story, action and acting as usual. The new villianess is wicked, but her sidekick- not so much. Old favorites return and the gang hasn't lost a step! I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but it seemed a tad bit too easy, even on crushing. Took two days to platinum but has lots of replay value in co-op and multiplayer. As for 3D mode, its cool to look at, but gets a bit difficult for the eyes on the darker chapters, too bad you can't just switch it on and off without quitting to the main menu...Overall, this game is highly recommended, do yourself a favor and pick this beauty up!

What's not so great: It isn't longer

Having just read the announcement for this game, I can say without a doubt that it will be a MUST buy for any PS3 owner and a "wish I could have" for owners of other consoles. Naughty Dog is one of the best developers out there. They did a beautiful job with Uncharted 2: Among Theives and will not dissapoint us in this next installment of the award-winning series. Get it, you'll love it!

You're right, Naughty Dog is the best! They put tons of effort into pleasing their fan base and really take into consideration what we ask them for. This game will no doubt be a front runner for GOTY, just as Among Thieves was. Both Drake's Fortune and Among Thieves were addicting and fun due to the gorgeous graphics, storyline, gameplay mechanics and the wonderful voice acting. I simply cannot wait for Drake's Deception! Hey MLX, see you in Plunder! Team MJA FTW!!

I was tired of having to hit the PS button and go into menus to adjust audio while using a wired headset, then I ran across this little device and decided to give it a shot. I'm happy to say that it is just what I was looking for! It controls your volume and also has a mute button on it. It is a much welcomed addition to my gear. Bear in mind that this does use three AAA batteries (supplied) so it will add some weight to your controller, but it isn't that bad. It doesn't really get into the way either and it did not make any scuffs or marks on my stock controllers so I felt confident enough to put it on my custom Colorware controller and it did no damage at all. In all, I'm pleased with this accessory. It is inexpensive, plug & play and simple to use.

Does this feature mic monitoring?
When plugging in an over-the-ear headset does this give you the ability to hear your own voice through the headphones? This is a big problem with my current headset.
No, this device does not add mic monitoring to a headset that does not already have it. This simply allows you to control your volume level/muting without having to toggle through menus.
