The crew spent 1 year on site in Africa, filming the life cycle of flamingoes--from arrival at the lake, to breeding, the laying of eggs and their hatching, the growth of the chicks and the perils the birds face, to the migration from the lake at the end of the season. We were enthralled by the scenes of the hundreds of thousands of these magnificent and gorgeous birds as they moved in unison, as though having been choreographed. This now is our favorite DVD..
