When I called tech support they told me that it is a system issue with all of the items I own (2 new laptops, blackberry, iPod Touch, wireless printer). It is not their fault and that they are well aware of the issues and know how to fix it.
Ok. for the tech support, I purchased their plan. What a joke!!
I was one hold for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Then hung up on and put on hold again. "I will wait until a tech speaks to you." 30 minutes later I hung up. I have a timer on the phone, so I can unfortunately see how long it has been.
I had checked out Netgear on Consumer Reports and they are rated well. But this is for their higher valued items. I guess the under $60 crowd is just bad stuff.
I should have read reviews on here first and gotten a better understanding of what I was getting into.
