really great game, but in my case i get bored after beating the campaign. there is multiplayer which i havent devoted too much time to, but according to my friends who have played a lot of live, they say it gets old. i dont really recommend buying the game, renting it seems more logical
What's great about it: too much to say
What's not so great: notoriety can be increased by doing the smallest things
I would recommend this to a friend!

SynopsisYou've received your assignment, hustled into a helicopter and skillfully maneuvered into the murky abyss of a mysterious land — with one deadly mission on your mind. You slip and sneak through dangerous territory. You spot an enemy in the distance and raise your rifle as you aim with precision. With a nearly silent pop, he drops lifelessly from view, as you press on, planting explosives to carve your way through secured fortresses, removing classified information and leaving only a trail of smoke in your wake. Welcome to a new kind of war. Tomorrow, the government will deny that your operation ever occurred. Your location will be obscured. Your alibi will be written. The war will be erased from history. But today, you bask in the glory of a perfect kill.Call of Duty: Black Ops is the latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise and the follow-up to last year's blockbuster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The Cold War has ended — or at least, it appears that it has. You are one of the few to know the secrets of the deadly conflicts that persist and to complete the classified operations that quietly protect the nation. You are Black Ops. Descend into the explosive combat with all-new force and all-new technologies to destroy the enemy, including new Killstreaks like Napalm Strikes, a remote-controlled explosive device and controllable helicopters. A deadlier mission than ever requires the most intensive Combat Training yet — hone your tactics offline against A.I. bots in both Free-For-All and Team Deathmatch modes and earn COD Points to purchase equipment, attachments, perks and new customization options. Further test your nerves and weapon skills in point-gambling Wager Matches, and celebrate each epic kill in Theater Mode. You are being summoned — do you have the courage to answer a grave new Call of Duty?

treyarch lied to me

im pretty sure treyarch said this game was good in their trailers. either they really feel that way or theyre liars. the spawns, guns, maps, graphics, and everything is terrible. this game is set in the 60s. there are guns in the game that were designed in the 80s. They're such liars at treyarch. this shows that they'll do anything to make a bad game. If they have to mess up the spawns, make poor graphics and maps,or put guns from the future in the game, theyll do it. me and my friends went back to mw2 after a month of treyarch. but somehow people enjoy this "game"
What's great about it: zombies are good, but get boring after a while
What's not so great: a lot
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

like everybody else, i beleived the treyarch lies. they told me black ops would be good through their trailers and ads and so on. i was so disappointed to see how boring and terrible it is. i gave BO a month then i couldnt take anymore. so me and my friends went back to mw2 and it seems better than ever. great game and if ur thinking about buying black ops dont, stick with mw2. better spawns, graphics, guns, killstreaks count toward more killstreaks
What's great about it: spawns graphics maps guns
What's not so great: noob toobers
I would recommend this to a friend!

Letdown

Wow, what a let down. The online play sucks. Warfare 2 was sooo much better than this. This is why I wish they would just choose one maker for the game instead of switching them up.
