Love this lens. Almost never leaves my camera. Great color, clear images, and great depth of field. I also have the 1.4 teleconverter for added range.

I bought this lense a little over a year ago from Best Buy. I love it. I have two sons who play football. My youngest has almost all day games. It's perfect for them. I get close up crystal clear shots of all the action. People saying they get blurry images either have the IS turned off, something set wrong on the camera, or a defective lense. My older son plays all night games. This lense doesn't work for them. I bucked up and bought the f2.8 70-200L for the night games. I still use my 55-250 durring the day because it's so much lighter and the image quality is excellent. Is this the best lense Canon offers? No, but for the price you can't go wrong.
P.S. The originals of these two pictures are much clearer than the uploaded ones appearing on this review!
What's great about it: Easy to use, great image quality, IS!
What's not so great: f5.6, but what do you expect for the money?
