If you've listened to the cd version from the 80's that's been the only available version of this overlooked masterpiece all these years, then you're in for a treat. This new remaster sounds fantastic. This is now the definitive version and with great bonus material included. If you are a Mac fan, this one should be a no-brainer. It's a must own.
One of my favorite Madonna songs, this single has great dance/house/club versions only available here. I highly recommend it, if it's available, because most of these early maxi-singles have now become out of print. Has a fan, I would say you won't be disappointed.
Sign O' The Times is a very good album. Prince kind of hit and missed during his post Purple Rain years, but he hit an ambitious high with this set. It contains a lot of memorable tunes and I do admit, it takes some time to commit to listen because of the length, but well worth it. The CD's do have that low sound quality heard on a number of 80's discs and I would say is badly in need of remastering, but still I think it's worth the listen if your a Prince fan.
I would say Controversy is not essential Prince, like Purple Rain or even 1999, but it is still very good. If you are a fan looking to round out your collection, I would say for sure pick it up.
One of those classics that I still own on record. Remaster has great sound and nice bonus tracks. If you are a fan of 70's jazz rock like Chicago, this album is highly recommended then. The price can't be beat so it's really not much of a risk. A classic album and a must own for 60-70's classic rock fans.
From his "Berlin" point in his career, I love the return to harder rock for Bowie here. The opening number "Beauty And The Beast" starts the album off great and "Heroes" is one of his classic songs. I think this album is the best out of the "Berlin Trilogy" and would recommend it to any fan.
The last album from the more artsy era for Bowie, this one is still great. He would go on to pretty much ditch the characters he had become known for in various stage personas. "Fashion" and "Ashes To Ashes" are still 2 of my favorites and I just love the sound these and other songs on this album have. If you are a fan of his, you should give this one a listen.
This album broke huge for Bowie when MTV was gaining momentum in the early 80's, and it's understandable why. The songs are his most pop friendly of his career and fit perfectly on the radio. Besides the hits, the rest of the album works great. Still my favorite of his career and I would recommend you give it a listen.
I think this is one of David Bowie's best. I really like the R&B direction he went with it. Having liked most of his work, I've found that I return to this album often. With him being known mostly for the Ziggy Stardust persona, this was a great departure. Give it a listen, it's worth it for his departure from his rock roots.
Having owned this soundtrack on everything from vinyl lp to cassette to multiple cd versions, this remastered version is the tops. It sounds fantastic. I don't know how this album could sound any better than this. With classic songs all through out, this is a must own.
