I purchased the HUE starter kit about 6 months ago. I've purchased 4 white Hue lights and an additional 3 color/white lights since.
Pros: Easy set up, I was up and running in about 5 minutes, and that was mostly download/ reading instructions. I've connected my Hue lights to my Amazon Echo as well. I have them in my kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, porch, and outer garage. It's great to walk into a dark room and say Alex turn on my bedroom lights and be good to go. The connection between Hue and Alexa was a breeze as well. These lights are LED so they don't use a lot of energy, plus they are always cool to the touch which is great if you need to relocate the bulb. With all of that, my favorite feature is the ability to set wake up and asleep times. I set up a variety of schedules to ensure people think we are home even when we might not be.
Cons: The green is definitely NOT really green, it's more of a tarnished yellow. If you're not looking for green, then it won't be an issue, just don't throw any St. Patty's day events. The only other issue I had, is at times connectivity will drop and interfere with the system. I ended up purchasing an expensive wifi system to avoid any drops in the system. It seems to be working better now. Finally, I used the white lights outside, they don't seem to want to dim though. Not sure if it's the light system, or the housing unit.

Pros: Slim, light, able to wall mount easily. Picture is great for gaming. I'm running an Xbox One, so Star Wars, Halo, and Modern Warfare III all respond perfectly. The blacks are deep and great when watching SCI-Fi/ Action Adventure as well.
Cons: If you are buying this for a Smart TV, you may want to look elsewhere. All of my other TV's are Samsung, I purchased this for my office, so I didn't really care about that, so I thought. The "Smart" interface needs work. Connecting to the internet required a manual setup as I've disengaged the unsecure WPS setup feature on my router. The manual setup required entering the IP address along with the standard credentials, which still did not connect. After a couple hours of tinkering, I gave up and shut it down. I returned the next day to have it mysteriously connect and start updating. After that, looking through the apps/app store to find about 10-15 apps of which Netflix and Pandora would be the only two used, compared to my Samsung, where I'm using 10-15 out of the countless apps they have.
Summary: If you are just looking for a nice tv to connect to a BluRay or gaming system, then buy it, if you are looking for a strong Smart Tv. You may want to consider a different system. I've had this tv for less than a month, so I'm still exploring. Will update upon further investigation.
