Great follow up to "License to Ill"

The Beastie Boys second album is somewhat of a prequel to Ill Communication at least more than it is a sequel to Licensed to Ill. The instrumental tracks might be a little too much for those first experiencing the boys but they really display how much creativity these guys have as musical artists. For the bass enthusiasts, "Pass the Mic" is the hardest hitting and possibly one of the most underrated Beastie tracks ever. "So What-cha Want" also consists of a heavy bass/percussion beat meshed with a great guitar riff and distorted vocals, the combination of which was very inventive for the early 90's.
What's great about it: Great mix of classic Beastie's bass thumping beats ("Pass the Mic") with rock instrumental tracks
What's not so great: If this is your first album of the beastie's it might be a little different
I would recommend this to a friend!
